Great video, Chris. I wasn't aware of this! And it looks really useful. Keep them coming. How about a video on Security Fabric? which I have found useful when deploying SDWANs.

CTAP is super useful if your already on-site doing something such as a on-site meeting it’s very much worth popping a box in. Lots videos coming on the security fabric I think in a couple of weeks I’m going to deploy sdwan/advpn across all major public cloud providers and one “on-prem” but I’m in too minds if I should use manager or the new ability to use the fabric to build the mesh 🤣

While being aware of the CTAP program, I haven't used it. Maybe I should have. Thanks for showing us how the process looks, very interesting!

Hi Sir, I have some questions confusing me. The CTAP config file was withou any policy, routing etc. If I restore the CTAP file to my FG, will cause all my configuration gone right?
Hope can get you reply. Thanks a lot.

Hi, yes if you restore the ctap configuration file then it will remove any existing policy’s, routes ect and replace them with what is required to conduct the ctap!

@@FortiBytes Hi Sir, much appreciate your answer. Which means the CTAP is suggested to run during downtime?

How do you get access to this

You need to be a Fortinet partner if you are speak to your account manager who can get you setup on the portal. If you need equipment supplying to be able to do ctaps then most distributors will loan you the equipment. Larger partners have their own ctap stock. If you have any other questions just ask!

You need specific FortiGate hardware I have used 80F and 100Fs mostly it comes down to the amount of traffic that is going to be sent to the devices. Make sure you run version 7.2.x of the ctap also it’s just better so that rules out a couple of devices that don’t support that image such as 100ds
