I am an Odia person and we don't celebrate Teej or any related festival, but the closest one is Savitri Osa( Bat savitri vrat), it is Northern Influence and indigenous Manabasa Gurubara( laxmi puja for 4 Thursdays during Margasira month), which is indigenous. I got to know so many things about Teej from you, Mrs Oolfat mam and Saket jiju, your Bihari take on things is just legendary!
But they are ashamed to live in India and go to better countries made by higher IQ people. Doing superstition like this only pleases simple minded people
