This game is one of the best example of classic World War 2 games, you have 90s, and early 2000s style music, less or mild profanity, play as a regular army soldier, not special forces, loud gun sounds, and the voice style of classic game, I don't know how to describe it, a bit high pitched voice, more like I called it WW2 style accent.
To me COD 2 Big Red One is the WW2 game with more variety in levels...you go from Africa to Germany fighting in battles that i never even heard of, like Crucifix Hill, Battle of Oran, Battle of Mons, Battle of Troina, we can se the Battle of Kasserine Pass and even the D-Day section is unique.
My great grandparent fought on this battle in licata sector with the 419th costline battalion of the italian army. They initially counterattack and gain small victory but then the shermans tanks arrive, and they were wiped out. Tank god he was taken prisoniers and deported in america until the end of the war. Honor to every nation victims of this war.
They can't replicate this or even make it better. I love old school CoD and one of main aspects that I love is that Activision shills are not in the comments to praise it.
Makes me wonder though How much combat did Vito went through His first jump would be Husky then did he fought past France and all the way to Holland? It's interesting
I read a report from a war Journalist that was on one of the DUCKW boats in Gela, and he described the landing just like it's depicted in the game. They clearly did some research before developing it. (Unlike Vanguard)
I like how you stubbornly decide to use the Garand all the time instead of picking up another weapon xD Wait, if this is Operation Husky, that means the Airborne troops from Medal of Honor are already fighting in the mainland by now.
The Mafia also helped the US Army to take down Mussolini when the Allies invaded Sicily, Many Italians living in America had to connections back to the old country
The Italian front in ww2 is sadly a forgotten front because if you look at Italy we only remember operation husky but major things happened in ww2 for example the fall of Rome the first Axis capital to fall under Allied hands sadly it was overshadowed by D day since the fall of Rome took place on June the 4th 1944 2 days before the day of days.
activision should remake cod 1,united offensive, big red one and finest hour. Its story and mission designs like vanguard shouldn't make for a disgusting game.
Hey AF- I've watched 4 of your COD 2 episodes. I'm baffled at your game play. You routinely ignore exchanging your Garand rifle for tons of useful MP-40's, MP-44's (and tons of ammo). US soldiers in WW2 DID use German guns when available, especially in close quarters fighting ( eg inside homes, bunkers, tunnels, etc). Those German weapons are placed in the game for you to use! Funny that you're ok with using the Kraut grenades but not the excellent Kraut guns. In actual combat you'd have died early on, because you rely way too much on your Garand rifle. You'd be shot while frequently reloading a 5 bullet clip, especially when attempting to clear out a German defensive position. 🤦♂
probs because I'm roleplaying as a standard infantryman, and I think it was illegal for them to just throw away their garands and start using enemy weapons lol

@@lukash.p.6631 based
@@Ramzi1944 he's not wrong tho (edit: I too am based)
Nevermind much of the cast was in one of the greatest miniseries of all time, Band of Brothers
This game was my childhood. I lost count on how many time i replay the campaign.
The title screens were badass
"Yeah like Africa was a walk in the park,eh Sarge"
*i love Brooklyn comic relief role*
The voice actor is frank John Hughes he played bill guarnere in band of brothers
That makes it even sadder that Brooklyn dies at the very end knowing guarnere was his voice actor makes it sadder I loved band of brothers
Brooklyn is a gem

Who else replayed this mission over and over just to hipfire the 30 cal?
Best game until my ps2 die 😭
Truly a classic, a game worth playing again and again
The old CODs have made me to always empty the Grand even when reloading in the middle of the mag is allowed in later games. Good memories
This game was my childhood along with CoD Finest Hour, these games had the best campaigns
They can't replicate this or even make it better. I love old school CoD and one of main aspects that I love is that Activision shills are not in the comments to praise it.
Bloomfield is such a good character I can't wait to see what he does after the war is over!
🤫
🤐
😢
Me to Cowboytroy… me to
He definitely has some high expectations 😂
Big Red One and CoD 3 will always be special to me, so many good memories.
This game just feels cozy. I can't describe it but it just feels that way
Vito Scaletta's favorite mission
Yeah, old country
Mafia 2 deserves a lot more attention than it gets
@@Jschaefer04 it is already popular,
@Hennessy pretty sure it's just a remaster
Makes me wonder though
How much combat did Vito went through

That was a lovely mission and still is
Lmao the best stereotype, machinegunner gets killed and you get to replace

@12:55 if you simple staying watching the italian tanks, you will see one falling the cliff
My favorite call of duty

Guess so
Been over it’s been over 15 years since I’ve played this campaign in my cousins house and I still remember us this mission
One of my favourite missions solely because of that 30 cal. I had a blast spraying corridors with it.
This game is solid for an old game ngl
I LOVE SICILY
These old games feel like pure game .
There was a bug in this level where you could get the carcano rifle, it had no game model but you could pick it up and use it
How?
I need a remaster!
Where’s Vito Scalleta? I didn’t see him
lmao
He's a paratrooper
My first call of duty.
The only game that I knew that lets you fight in Italy is COD roads to victory, but except it’s in altavilla.
The Mafia also helped the US Army to take down Mussolini when the Allies invaded Sicily, Many Italians living in America had to connections back to the old country
Denley dies at ferawell to friends chapter 7.
I've played this game on PlayStation 2
I didn't notice when I play this game those men looks so small
22 mins! Early man no notification forgot xd sorry!
My childhood. #thefirstMW series type campaign

If I squint a little it almost looks like Brooklyn is holding a phone on the thumbnail.
Vito Scalleta from mafia 2 was in that operation, and won… . Cool huh?
magnificent game
You can shoot the Moon with the Boozoka in this level.
Imagine being able to mod this game and giving yourself an M4 from COD 4 for this game lol
They really don't let you aim while standing with the lmg, mechanic used now by milsim games
An underrated classic, every Call of Duty with the number 2 on it seem to always be the best, except for WW2 -.-
In COD UO, SAS sabotage the Sicily for reaching documents and destroy German artilery.
In here what's the mission?
the mission is to clear bunkers and the local town of enemies
Nostalgia.....:)
I realize im early
Busy working did not have time to play playstation games. I very like game war
Why can’t they remaster these games like they did with previous titles ?
cod vanguard ps4 gameplay
😗😗😗😙
