This was the first COD I ever played and it always has a special place in my heart. My biased aside I do think it has arguably the best campaign of any WW2 COD simply because it’s the only COD that goes through all of the main European & African theatres of the war and is the only COD to include the Italian campaign of the war to date.

After you get hit by shrapnel from a mortar, you have the flashback of the entire African, Italian and French campaign. And when you wake up your back in Belgium and you fight into Germany. They don’t make games like this anymore unfortunately…

Kelly was like the photographer dude. Their Sergeant was a lot like Vic while the LT was a lot like Hawkins. If only the story didn't suck
There's a great mission up ahead that kind of goes into Rommel striking back. It's kind of similar to Pierson's story. I imagine in that story, it was a much bigger shit show than it already was.

OK, this comment may not be seen but just clarify to everyone saying the concept of this mission is bogus and that Kasserine was a German victory listen Sarge and Vic from 0:10 to 0:36. Sarge states that the Afika Korp kicked the hell out of the 26th and then pulled out. So this mission happens AFTER the battle of Kasserine Pass and your character's regiment is being sent to reclaim the Pass and has to fight off a German rear guard.
im from kasserine , and as a guy lives in kasserine im very glad that call of duty game talked about that battle that died over 3000 soldier and that brings me a lot of memories when i was a kid , i used to play it on ps2
This was a great game, with some fantastic set pieces and characters. When these games were getting released every few weeks, it really made the PS2 generation of games so much more varied and fun, there were titles being released seemingly all the time.
Damn I really missed out on the old CoD when I was younger. My first was CoD 3 for the Wii. Hopefully, we get a remaster, but the chance for it just seems low.

Welcome to my country 🇹🇳. Unfortunately this battle was the first major defeat of the USA troops in World War 2 by the German forces led by Erwin Rommel aka the Desert Fox. Being pushed out of Egypt by General Montgomery, Rommel wanted to support his Italian allies by taking over Tunisia's Capital Tunis. To do so, he deducted that Kasserine Pass, was the weakest line of defence, that he will be able to break with his forces. On 19 Feb 1943, the first attack was launched but the Americans pushed him back, the next day he came back with an overwhelming forces of tanks that caused the loss of around a 1000 US soldiers and forced them to retreat. Tunisia is also the home of the city Tataouine, the inspiration for Tatooine Planet in Star Wars
The fact that a kasserine pass level is in Medal of Honor Allied assault, my verdict is that at least you can actually see where you're going here, but i guess it eliminates the suspense of not being able to see what's coming.

Don't forget fighting against the Vichy French forces after the prologue level... now that is another unique thing about this masterpiece.
