S Harvest You literally can’t tell the difference in clarity because the stone is too small. Real jewelers will tell you this. Scientifically the diamond has to be a certain size to see the clarity. They all test real on a diamond tester. If a jeweler sells you a VVS chain with small pointers, they’re tricking you and giving you SI’s because you literally can’t tell and why not just save the VVS’s for actual pieces that they can be detected in😂😂 every piece in Icebox has SI diamonds and people don’t even know💀
S Harvest I mean colors differ. Like he said in the video some SI can have better hitting colors than VS/VVS. But yea of course if you have the money you can go for the higher quality. Diamond "quality" is an individual appraiser's personal determination. That's the racket. If you won't pay what the seller wants, someone else will. Nobody but jewelry dealers have the tools they use for these "VVS/VVSI" ratings to begin with, and the visual difference isn't usually enough to notice with the naked eye to justify the cost difference. There's a very good reason why the same piece of jewelry costs lots more or less depending on the con artist selling it to you.
The diamond cartel that sells to jewelers determines the rating. That is what he is referencing when he says he pays 800 a carat vs 250-400. A jeweler can lie and say an SI is a VVS and most people won't be able to tell, but to call all jewelers con artists is moronic. You know the shoes you wear cost $10 or less to produce, how much did you pay for them?

you can get diamonds certified but its easier to track a diamond when you buy a custom wedding band which is where t he real high end business is done. GIA certified flawless diamonds with D color are expensive and look a whole lot better then the same ring with vvs also the certification means it hold a tangible value. rapper chains dont resell for much but if you go to an auction you can find high end fine jewellery which may appreciate in value

The chain is worth 4,202.07 in gold alone.
For the 10K you are paying a 33% premium for labor costs.
For 14K you are paying 26% premium for labor.

Biggest advise I can give u is to buy a watch instead. A plain one. At least you will not lose any money if u know what ur buying. Trust me. The moment u wanna sell ur chain to upgrade or just cash u lose 40% on average. For watches, 11-12,000$ look at Rolex day date reference 18038 or 18238, they’re nice late 80’s gold presidential 36mm watches, very timeless designs, no need for diamonds

FellowRser Okay when you walk into a jewelry store, never ask the jeweler if he has a certain type of chain. Always tell them your price range so they can show you what’s available & you’ll be able to tell if it’s hollow. A rope chain, if it’s hollow you’ll be able to see through the links by putting it through a light or the weight. A hollow chain is lighter than a solid chain, you can easily tell once you hold it & look at it closely in person
