Hi Denny thank you for the ride along the East Coast. Brings back memories. (Oh.. a rolling Stone gathers no moss...you know that green stuff .) Keep on the move.
Thanks for this video. Very interesting. Born in Mahaicony Grew up in the Unity/Lancaster area. Keep up the good work you are doing. Will make a few more additional comments.
Wow, I was born at Ann's Grove and attended the R.C. school. Left in 1963 to live at Bee Hive then eventually I left Guyana in 1975. The place looks awfully strange to me now. It will be so nice to reconnect with my school friends. Also attended Clonbrook Government school. Thanks for your tour.
Nice video my area where I am from Unity Village, the house just infront Ravi or Kiran Gas station, though Ravi Nauth was murdered few yrs back.. So glad to see this video ARD.
I wish I was a guanase officially I'm nicaraguan now residents of sunnyvale california . I hve a neighbor that is from guyana , Nice fellow , I introduced your videos to him.
Awesome presentation of the Guyanese Countryside. I'm originally from Trinidad but live in Florida. I must say that some of the villages presented bear striking resemblance to those of Trinidad. That reminds me of my youthful days back home. Appreciate you sharing with us and hope to visit your country one day. Be Blessed to You and Family.
Hi i was wondering if you can please help me to find this very poor man whom lives in unity backdam??? I am now watching this video seems like it is an old one.
My elder brother married a Mahica pretty girl ...... I was the the Sybala..... got loads of dachna [ money and gifts ] at the religious ceremony. GREAT MEMORIES ✅. THEY the in-laws WERE RICE FARMERS AND DAIRY FARMERS. ....ONE OF MY PRESENTS[ gift] WAS A MILKING COW.!!!! NOW 50yrs since I left.... wondering what happened to that cow ????? I also I had my own chickens....🐔🐔🐔🐣🐣🐣🐣..... my family were all carnivores !!!! ..... but they were not allowed to eat my chickens !!!!CHANGES FOR THE BETTER ALL AROUND GUYANA. WISH I WAS THERE!!! BUT THATS HOW LIFE TURNED OUT. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATIONAL ...... keep it up .....you are blessed!!!👍👍👍💕💕💕💕💕 I am still a vegetarian !!!!
Thank you for another very memory-evoking video. I greatly appreciate the info on Shivnarine Chanderpaul ... and Bharat Jagdeo. I could see the roads with the canals alongside them which is a common feature in the countryside.
A unique perspective of life.. " For what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul" - Mark 8:36 (Bible) .. Very philosophical and beautifully put.... Amen Brother!
My Question is **Was the new road built on the Old Railway line**I left Home 1970 and the train was still running**now when I hear the term** The line top** and no one gives a clue **I guess because they know what they are talking about**I so enjoy your video's**I makes me nostalgic for home **thank you again.
Regina Rose only a part was built on the railway close to Mahaica the other part from unity onwards approaching Mahaica is a diversion through some vegetation. However from Enmore to Georgetown they convert the railway tracks to road which is referred to the line top
@@ITSOURLIFEARD I think you confuse me. I always thought that from the Unity turn off to Mahaica it is on the old line tracks. As a youth I used to walk from Lancaster train platform to just past Unity train platform.. We had a banana farm just after Unity train platform.
Sir nandu had taught me in primary school and he was also headmaster for the Gibson primary school once for a long period. He used to live opposite the road not far from the school, he was a very good friend and teacher for my big brother, I always remember when I was small my bro will always go to sir nandu to borrow school text books... very good guy heard about his death but now I am shocked to know that he was murdered, very sad situation sml... And as you mentioned about Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Bharat Jagdeo, I do hope you knew also that those two famous fellas was raised in poor family, Bharat Jagdeo had grown up in a poor family and his parents house in David Rose scheme was once a little and unpainted house with wooden windows just like those you had shared Christmas hamper to recently, he came from a struggling family but very rich in education, today he had made it yet the people's them choose to discriminatie... Meanwhile Shivnarine Chanderpaul had grew up poor also, the sad situation was when he had to quit school from the primary level to assist his father who was a fisherman (Cowfly)... but his joy for cricket is what makes him achieve where he is today. Those two guys after getting famous eventually help their families to rise also. Recently I had watched videos whereby you keep distributing items for poor people in Guyana and that is very nice of and your family to take those step. My best advice to you is that while you continued to share stuff for people also I would like you to advise those people with kids to send their children to school and regardless to what situation let them sit down with their kids and assist them with their school work at home (a child first teaching began at home ) maybe some day later on it will have more famous people coming out of those same poor areas that you had finished #NeverKnw... If you can afford to distribute school books also, that might be one of the greatest gift to help take a child out of poverty. Today's it have too much young people on the streets, many of them are abused mentally, physically, emotionally and sexually.... Continue to do good, God will bless your family fruitfully, Guyana is going thru a political mess and crisis right now.
Which year was Nandu the Headmaster? What is his last name? Is Bharat Jagdeo really from David Rose Scheme. My time was when Ramoutar was the headmaster.
