I still own the 1st gen CBZ. Bought it at a time when the 180 was launched. Although down slightly on performance, it more than made up with the ride and handling. Very happy with my purchase. The legend lives on.
When you are giving it a 2 valve a 5 speed and oil cooled... Then you have to give it a solid 220f like look... Pulsar 220 is one of the best looking bike from the front...
Why does every Motorcycle needs a 6th cog? If the gears are tuned correct for urban use which this bike is necessarily targeted, should not be an issue 🤷
@@evilgetsraw278124 ??? it is the final drive ratio which decides the top speed, and you can have either short or long gearing. also 6th gear helps in reduced rpm's
You pretty much described my college days. Back then, not everyone got a two wheeler, let alone a motorcycle. So spotting a 180 was a big thing cuz well it wasnt as common and it was a Big bike atleast in the city i was in. Bajaj did go the FI way with the 220 long before the NS, but switched back to carb due to costs I believe (or was it something else?) Coming back to these motorcycles, I think Bajaj has pretty much given aam junta what they want, affordable performance, that has always been the Pulsar mantra IMO. You asked what we thought of Bajaj dropping the rear ABS in favour of stunting, I think that is something someone from RSA could answer better no? :P But on a serious note I think its a major omission. During the earlier days every stunter would chose the pulsar cuz mainly that's what most could afford. Now though, there are a lot more options in the market to choose from. Not every customer walking into the showroom would go out on one wheel. Bajaj knows this and I think that is why they have the ABS ring on the rear disc. May be they will launch it soon. A simple thing as switchable ABS would have solved all this and it wouldnt have cost them as much either. The multi shade stickers stand out like a sore thumb under harsh lighting. Not sure why they opted in the favour esp after Mr Bajaj's jibe about sticker job during the launch. I used to remove the air filter cap on my Unicorn for the induction sound cuz i couldnt afford a K&N filter which I eventually did buy, seems so childish now. I still use at times though :P
Edit: This was the most detailed review till now that I have seen Everything seems fine on the bike even the extra weight is managed well as per reviews, but.......why not even an option for dual channel abs? For stunting giving up abs? R u kidding me? On a bike intended for city use dual channel abs would have been just right for safety. Sigh, I just hope bajaj will introduce it as an optional keeping safety in mind
