I recently started making videos about scary stories, would you rate it please?
Because as a man curiosity won't allow you to sleep all night and you become paranoid ... And you won't forgive yourself if you didn't know and something bad had to happen ...
Fear of the unknown. We want to know the answers to our questions, and usually rush to that part before proper investigation.
Why do we listen to this? If any psychologist reading, please tell me what is wrong with us. I’m spooked & still listen to it every night

I need to preface this by saying I am not a psychologist but I have enough mental health issues to make a guess, a lot of people who like horror and things of the strange, dark and mysterious are often people who have higher sensory seeking traits (hellooooo ADHD) and the rush of brain chemicals you get from it. Another possibility is people finding it exciting to be in the moment, almost like a new experience, but they're safe the whole time. Either way, whatever the psychology behind it is, I'm hooked and have no regrets 😂
Therapist here. It’s not some mental illness. Horror and true crime is fascinating. I try not to read too much into that kind of stuff. It’s a little bit different if you are constantly filling your mind with really disturbing stuff but a lot of these stories don’t have that element. Just my opinion.
Internet psychologist here: it’s because you never had sex with your mum and that disturbs your subconscious. So naturally you are inherently drawn to disturbing stories. Every time you listen to these stories, you are creeped out yet equally derive some pleasure from them. It’s like mental incest for your deprived brain. Enjoy

While we are on the subject, stop pulling up on dark lonely roads because a man is flagging you down.
Most of all, stop camping away from any civilisation, miles away in the backwoods, where bears are the least of your worries. Avoid crazy-looking farmers who seem to have way too many firearms, and if you hear a banjo, RUN!

Story 2 seems just odd. So person is able to take several weeks off work to rent an AirB&B lakeside cabin (not cheap) to be around for a family member who was sick, and never mentions visiting said family member after this. Then a random dude shows up while you camp in a tent (despite staying in a remote cabin), doesn’t accost you/just walks away, only to then chase after you after you pack up everything and make the short walk back to the cabin, which again was close enough for you to quickly run to your car and leave (so why bring a tent?). Then when the cops arrive all they see are shoe prints, but no mention of the broken glass on the ground from the window he supposedly shattered?
I’m going to need see a link to that police report because this story is just too absurd.

I find it so funny that people who are telling a first hand experience about themselves that they would say something like “my eyes widened in horror”. Just seems very unnatural for telling a story that happened to you. Another one “my face went white” when you’re alone.

Wouldn't be uneasy at home alone, if you were trained and armed.
If you live alone in a rural area a great way to have some alert system is adopting a female dog, they're more protective of their home than male dogs. If you dont hear someone trying something at your house, she will, just make sure that you dont disencourage her from barking.
That's why I have a female dog. And I've told people that if they're going to get a watch dog get a female. A male will back down to keep the seed going. A female will fight to the death be it the intruder or hers.
Story 1: It’s cool that we have a sixth sense that will make us realize something is just not right.

First story: so a car accident as bad as the guy said would definitely be loud enough to be heard anywhere from a half mile plus away, especially in a quieter area. I know this for certain after hearing some shit while inside my house at night in the vicinity, plus another instance. You hear certain things and you just know what it is. That other instance was someone crashing their car about a quarter mile away from my place, who I knew, and can confirm the event happened. It was unmistakable as to what I heard, and it was loud as hell. Same could be said if a transformer blows during a thunderstorm, I might be in the house but I hear that noise and I know what that means for some neighborhood nearby.

Well, I listen to it because I'd like to be woken up to the reality of what's going on Out There. When you go camping, sometimes ignorance can cause you problems. So if I made aware of what's going on out there? I can think twice about everything that I do if I ever decide to go out there.

So I found out that some strange Man was on our porch the other night, I had no idea.... I don't know how long the person was on our porch... Plus I have two underage children here and to think some stranger was on our porch without my knowledge, is creepy as hell.... We have cameras around our house and way too many entry points that lead into this house.... Too many windows and too many doors.... The guy in the first story was smart by telling yhe guy i will call the cops for you and by calling the cops immediately notify them , but he should have put all his lights off and sat in the dark 1hr before he went to sleep

I would enjoy these so much more if you didn’t try to make your voice sound lower than it is. You have a great natural tone, no need to artificially deepen it in a distracting manner. When you’re reading the ad your voice is perfect and natural. Please just consider using your natural voice for the narration. I would find it far less distracting from the actual story.
