Try a small cup of warm milk with 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg just before you want to go to bed. Make sure you’re not too hot 🥵 when sleeping 🛌 🧸
I cured my insomnia by doing this for two weeks and since my body clock is normal I get about 6 - 7 hours a night 😁…my mind is clearer and I have more positive energy now! Good luck if you try it. I still listen very softly in a dark room, and almost always fall asleep 💤 before it’s done! My phone turns itself off during transition, luckily! 🥰😁
I do the same. I will watch anything creepy to fall asleep too.
Could be worse. You could be hiking and end up finding some dilapidated cabin that has a creepy basement and a flesh covered book inside.

My Appalachian maternal grandparents didn’t talk about
monsters and ghosts, but they did have creepy accounts of escaped prisoners, trip-wire moonshiners with their booby traps, and organized crime members who picked remote boondocky places to dump certain…ahem…’things.’
Used to ride my enduro bike around those hollows, but Grandma and Grandpa taught me well-always get back before dark.
What always tickles me is people spend thousands on house alarm systems, CCTV etc then go camping 🏕️ at the weekend with only an oversized Cagoule with a zip protecting them, in the middle nowhere, no phone signal etc etc utter madness 🙄
The last one is hard. His friend has disappeared. Probably abducted and killed ans he says "what would have happened if I have been with him" 😮

I couldn’t find anything on a missing camper in the summer of 2021 in Washington State, makes me wonder if these stories are real or fake.
Man, they are fake.
In Reddit, you can everything you want and since all these stories have the same structures and the same imprecision (the location is always vague, they can't remember it well but can write paragraphs on small details), you know they are fake the second it starts.

It’s really weird how these creepy guys seem to be in the most remote places when our narrator’s protagonists show up.
Barring any supernatural elements, it’s as if these guys are like Venus Fly Traps, securely placed in one area just to nab the occasional passersby.

The scariest creatures on earth are human and they're not dead.
Never camp alone and unarmed. Binoculars are a poor man's night vision which helps to see at in low light conditions. Pack light and be ready to leave quickly if something happens. Also bring a high lumen flashlight to light up the whole Forest!

So many of these problems could be avoided if you have personal protection. Why anyone would go to the woods without a gun blows my mind. Then these are probably all fabricated stories , so a gun or making wise choices like leaving right away would end the story.

Story #2 : Man hears another man yelling at someone on the phone. Man panics and runs back to the cabin. He sees a man approaching the cabin with his phone in his hand, and panics further, leading him to jump into his car and speed off. Possible explanation : Man on the phone was lost in the woods and went towards the nearest structure for help. "Probably never would have been seen again" ... more hyperbolic crap.

The dramatic conclusions that are impossible to know are indeed annoying but ignorable. If people are sending these in they should wrap it up with the facts; glad they got out alive and fearful of what could have happened if they stayed or didn’t have the reaction they did. Not concluding they would have been murdered and never ever heard from ever again even though they admit they have no idea what kind of situation they were in or what the persons intentions were or if they had a weapon etc.

I always have a firearm, bear spray, flashlight and knife on me at a minimum when I go camping. The biggest threat is not a wild animal, but another person.

Story #1 : Man alone in woods at night is upset to find another man alone in those woods at night. A lot of these stories seem to be people over-reacting to harmless encounters with the homeless or the mentally ill, or people who are just doing the same thing they are. The guy could have set up camp right near where the stranger had. The stranger might be out there a lot, or even live out there, and may have just been concerned that the storyteller had set up in his neck of the woods, and so was checking on him as he was concerned for his own safety too. "Likely harmful intentions" ... he'd spotted the guy a few times over several hours and the guy had done nothing. He admits himself he didn't know how long the guy had been watching him, and if the guy was going to do something, he'd have had ample chance. Hyperbolic nonsense.
Came here to say the same thing. I’ve been getting the impression lately a lot of people are blowing things out of proportion. I mean when there’s a home intruder or robber that’s one thing, but yeah realizing you aren’t completely alone in a camping area isn’t the worst thing in the world smh

@@firefly9838 Story #3 is the only horror story IMO. The other two are just soft lads over-reacting to unexpected encounters with strangers. I'd be surprised if #1 and #2 are fake, as they are just silly really. If Story #3 is fake, then it's a good fake, and copied from the kind of missing persons cases that are reported regularly. I do believe the majority of stories on channels like this one are either fake, heavily embellished, or just over-reactions. I listen to them for the vibe, not if they are true or not, but some stories are so daft, that I feel compelled to respond :)

Just think about how many start with "So this happened..." or how many people always call police "officer". None of the writers say "I finally saw two cops outside my door" or "I spoke to the police and told them what happened". It's always "an officer". Almost like they're all written by the same few people with identifiable verbal tics.
