MEASUREMENTS FOR CUTTING LINING PANELS
1). Left-hand panel: cut to size 5⅛” x 2½”. Make pencil mark on left-hand side of panel 2¾” up from the bottom. Use trimmer to cut from pencil mark upwards to the diagonally opposite corner. Take remaining triangle and cut off ⅛” off the hypotenuse i.e. the long side opposite the right-angle corner.
2). Right-hand panel: cut to size 5⅛” x 2½”. Make pencil mark on right-hand side of panel 2¾” up from the bottom. Use trimmer to cut from pencil mark upwards to the diagonally opposite corner. Take remaining triangle and cut ⅛” off the hypotenuse i.e. the long side opposite the right-angle corner.
3). Horizontal panel: cut to size 5⅛” x 2½”. Make pencil mark on horizontal side (if you are using a directional pattern, this is the top edge) at the half way mark i.e. at 2⅝”. Use trimmer to cut from pencil mark to the diagonally opposite left-hand side corner and then to the diagonally opposite right-hand side corner. Next, take both small triangles and cut ⅛” off from the hypotenuse i.e. the long side opposite the right-angle corner, on each triangle.

If you cut the lining pieces at 5 1/8, will that avoid having to do the additional slice?
