If she disappeared near a construction site did the construction workers get questioned. They need to x-Ray the cement in the construction site if any

If the police do not have any fresh suspects, places to look for her body, someone to charge but are just fishing, I wish they wouldn't. It's very hard on the parents of the child, the relatives of this child and Cleveland County residents. If they're just opening up a cold case file to relook at it, say so, don't go around making people think they have some new evidence, when they don't. It's hurtful, painful and just plain wrong!

They said they found hair on Asha's clothing and the DNA led them to these people. They didn't just start doing this out of nowhere.

I heard this this morning and I'm so glad that they said something to confirm their actions. I live in Shelby, N.C., Cleveland Co. and the public here are very upset about this terrible deed and how long it stayed unanswered. But to not give information out creates problems, especially in today's world. People take action and shouldn't, people get mad and do things when they shouldn't, and Cleveland Co. residents are very upset about this terrible situation. With new technology, it's good that cold case files are reopened but this county and the Degree people are also very upset. Oh, by the way, my neighbor across the street are family members of the Degrees and with their statements to me, it scars me a little for the Cleveland residents. Just keeping quiet wasn't helping, days of speculation and tempers simmering. Not good! I hope they find this poor young girl and closure of some kind can be brought to the family and if this family is involved, I hope justice is quick in holding them accountable.

I live in Shelby, N.C., Clevland Co. and I live across the street from one of the Degree family members. This is a kettle getting ready to explode. The investigation was not giving any reasons for their actions, dribbles coming out day by day and the heat continuing to get hotter in the situation. Then "finally" information was provided and details given to WHY they were doing what they were doing. Some of the heat went down for the city and the residence. Over 20 years of hurt, pain in not checking on the child prior to going to bed, remember the young child was in her bed around 2 am and not there at 4 am and no one knew she was gone. Over 20 years and nothing was done, the case went cold and then all of a sudden SBI, Cleveland Co. Sheriff is on a property with dogs, and what not. People were mad and rightly so. But I don't want our town burned down because of negligence of the police, speculation by people, and getting madder by the day. It helped when an explanation of why they were doing what they were doing helped to lower the anger. The terrible event was bad enough, the pain of knowing your child is walking on the highway and the family unaware she's out of her bed, then years of nothing, yeah, I'd be mad too. And people were showing their anger, and they had to give some reason for why they were doing what they were doing.
