One thing I love about watching Pointless is how inclusive it is for the contestants. Doesn't matter if you are blind, in a wheelchair, need an electrolarynx, or anything else, you can still be a contestant.
Watching this as a non-Brit is always rather interesting. You have these very nation specific categories with massive scores that I'm completely lost in. And then for the final round I could have easily come up with three of our Swedish medalists from 2000-2004 and gotten a pointless answer. Really puts things in perspective.
34:44 Got only 2 out of 5, but one of them was the best answer on the board Final Round: I got the hat-trick with all 3 categories (Fiona May, Sara Simeoni, Fabrizio Donato)
Awkward that I only knew Sarah Hyland and Courtney Cox and in my mind I'd think more people would know Sarah so I would have said Courtney in that situation and gotten points, instead of getting a pointless answer with Sarah😭 I thought Modern Family was a big hit everywhere (I'm not an American)
ya know I find it interesting that UK subjects seem to know more about US presidents than their own Prime Ministers. There are so many pointless answers on the Prime Minister questions.
A 2021 survey showed the average American can name eight presidents. I'd guess their average for heads of state of other countries is between zero and one.

And I think Zander and Richard are pretty amiable too...I've become a real fan of theirs.
Alan partridge would love hom

"No U or S in the last name" - my brain: "Ulysses S Grant". It's good to see great minds think alike.
The uber to the show from the hotel was probably more than the jackpot.

Creedence is commonly called CCR, so there's that
My thoughts exactly! The name of the band was practically being shown.
@@Sleve-McDichaeland yet they all seemed soooo surprised that it scored so highly! Go figure!!
Tough game...only one way to get a pointless answer and increase the jackpot.
Yeah, it always annoys me when they don't have opportunities for pointless answers.
Nice, all my picks for the jumping medals would have been pointless.
They get a lot of civil servants on this show
Dean and Gary are a handsome pair :)

Shows that this show is definitely targeted at a certain age group, because on the sibling one i only knew 2, and Sarah Hyland was one of them

US culture is so ubiquitous. I'm a Canadian and I could easily name more US presidents than Canadian PMs.

I like watching on catchup as you can skip the boring 7 minutes of Alexander ooooing and Richard talking.
J Edgar Hoover lol
Not to be confused with Herbert Hoover? Ouch!
I was second guessing myself when I heard that, before the score was revealed.
