With Transformers Rise of the Beasts hitting theatres soon, I decided to try out an idea that has sort of been suggested by a subscriber who goes by Evan M’s Art. Evan suggested transformers as Kaiju, and I just kinda expanded on that to be ‘Giant Robots as Kaiju’ pulling from the new Transformers and from some of my other favourite Pop Culture giant mechs!
In this we have Optimus Primal from the new Transformers and with some inspiration from the Beast Wars (or Beasties for my fellow Canadians) TV series. We also have Gipsy Danger from Pacific Rim as a Kaiju ironically. Finally, we have Voltron, pulling mainly from the design in the Netflix animated series; Voltron: Legendary Defender.
Also I decided to turn this into a Banter episode since we haven’t seen Benny Sharp and Dr Champagne McGreggor in a while.

I love how Champange is starting to mellow out and is having a little fun now guessing the similarities. Also like how he is basically a character from a "normal" universe like ours when it comes to pop culture, and calling it with Benny Sharpes 4th wall break. I love these stories. Keep it going and have future plans to turn this into an animated series.

Spiderman villains as kaiju (Since Marvel Spiderman 2 is coming out soo.)
Mortal Kombat characters as Kaiju (same case with the game ^^^)
My little ponny characters as kaiju (Good lord i dont know why i offered that.)

Wow. Benny Sharp, the man who looks and sounds exactly like Handsome Jack, and giant monsters. Absolutely amazing
Couple of things to note from this episode: 1). It's cute seeing how far Benny and Champagne have come in their relationship, and 2). Now I kinda want to see a full-on Beast Wars Kaiju episode. Though I would be partial to something like Skylanders: Giants as Kaiju. Would seem pretty appropriate all things considered.

It’s a bit weird to hear Champagne being nicer and more calm, I mean I love it, it’s so wholesome but I’m definitely not used to it, it would be very interesting to see a brand new [something] as dinosaurs episode with this version of him.
I’m also a fan of the Kaiju series returning, I get that designing them might be tough as there aren’t a lot of defining characteristics that would make you go “ah yeah, that’s a kaiju” but I adore how you were able to reinterpret mechanical elements and turn them into biotic designs, it’s just so creative and cool to see.

I loved the self call-outs with the Voltron Kaiju, especially with how much Benny was emphasizing that entire sentence. Still loved that drawing regardless, in fact I’m pretty sure it’s my favourite for this video. I also might’ve mentioned this before, but it still majorly impresses me how fast you can switch between voices even without edits. It was awesome to see both another Kaiju video and another banter video, so overall this video was a treat to watch! Keep up the stellar work!

Okay, this is amazing. The designs of the kaiju, the banter, just everything was great. The ape vs monkey debate between Benny and Heath cracked me up so much and I think my favorite design of this episode is the Voltron kaiju
Draw The Rogues (Flash's Villains) as either X-Men or Horror Story
What if you drew Pokemon as Spiders to honor Across the Spider-Verse (and can one of them be either Gholdengo, Ceruledge, Mega Charizard X, or Obstagoon)
And it'll be nice if they all had some venomous ooze in their mouths
You should definitely try Street Fighters Characters as Mech Suits or Dragons
If there’s ever another episode of this one, I could only think of two giant Mecha to suggest: Any incarnation of a Gundam, and Evangelion Unit 01. The Gundam franchise is host to a whole cast of abilities to pull from, and Evangelion Units are a very unique build to draw, I could only imagine one of those bio-mechanical titans as a fully flesh and blood beast. Gives me chills in the best kind of way.
Anything Gundam related is what I WANTED to be featured in PopCross Studios, SO BADLY!!!
Especially Evangelion related too!!!

For some reason, I’ve never fully noticed how simple but cool your Spider-Sona is. Since you did a video a while back reprising some of your old art, maybe you should do another episode of that, but full dedicated to your own personas (Mandalorian-Sona, Iron Man-Sona, Transformer-Sona, Dragon-Sona)

1) Hmmm, dunno if I'd wanna do something with the hosts, but I have always liked the idea of fusing characters who competed in Deathbattle episodes

This video was a nice change of pace, we haven't seen Kaiju episodes in a while so it felt a bit overdue. Champaign sounded a lot more upbeat today. Plus, it was nice to see Heath Reynolds.

I love how at the beginning with the Gipsy Danger Kaiju, once Champagne heard everything about it, instead of shouting or being like "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!!!" he's instead like, "I see where this is going." Very fun contrast between his original character and this one, as now he knows about the existence of the Akashic Records so when he sees the similarities, he's just like, "Alright, here we go again."
I liked the chemestry between Heath and Dr. McGreggor. Maybe for a part 2 of this you could use all of the Dinosaur themed Megazords that they've used for Power Rangers, or just your own take on Dinosaur-Chimera Kaiju
This was a fun, all the art in the episode was really good. I have an idea for an episode that involves Metal Hellsinger or it’s main character The Unknown. Here is what the story is about…. (By the way it’s a episode that involve ultra violent video game characters in a D&D story)
The Unknown (a Tiefling who was banished by the Red Judge who also took her voice) to go through 9 realms with her team of adventures which consist of a bounty hunter Fallen Aasimar (Dante from Devil May Cry), a demon slaying paladin (Doom Guy), and a demon slaying witch who knows how to beat people up with we feet (Bayonetta). The story ends up dealing with bosses that are from all of the games I mentioned, and ends with a D&D version of the Red Judge from Metal Hellsinger
The narrator is the Skull that tags along with the Unknown (which contains the soul of the Unknowns lover, Paz), also he has a southern draw to his voice (for research, just watch some cutscenes for Paz’s voice).
Overall have a great day dude.
I also think a Certain dragon episode deserves a part 2 and even add a new character to the series… here’s that idea
Spencis Charnas Origin
After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Afterian used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him.
But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons.
But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said…
"He Drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake"
And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read….
"Left to die under the sun
The hive never spared anyone
How 'bout the hand for the honey bees
Hooked on the creed of their colony"
The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written.
Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too.
Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was….
Why is the Las Angels Guard after you?
He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done.
But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason.
Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place.
Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were…

(For context the character of Spencis is based off of Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas as a ringmaster like character, and The Honey-Hooked Wyvern and the Christal Lake Camp Stalker are based off of Candyman and Jason Voorhees respectively)
Also Lycanvolt is my favorite design of the episode

I really hope Rise of the Beasts turns out amazingly. Age of Extinction was mid, and The Last Knight was bad. Considering they got a different director for this movie, that’s a great sign. Great job on the drawings!!!
Agreed! I am just going full blown hype for it! If its disappointing, so be it, but I'm keeping my hopes up that its at least, like, a B+ movie! I don't even need it to be that compelling of a story if the characters are fun and the action is cool. That's all I really need from Transformers :P

Here's an idea for a future video: Animated characters as FNAF Animatronics. You can have the kid friendly characters as Glamrock Animatronics made by the Fazbear company and the non kid friendly characters made by the Glitchtrap cult.

Soon as I saw the teaser I was excited to see how you’d take mechs and make ‘em monstress and you did a fantastic job! I can’t decide wether i like the Gipsy danger or Voltron kaiju more. Also I’d love to see you work with dead by daylight killers perhaps as dragons or demons.

Day 57 Suggesting a Female Voice Actor for Female Multiverse Tales Characters
Hahahah that would be tense, but Dresden is going to meet up with Tayrun in his world, so no Dresden Kate confrontation yet

I absolutely love how in banter episodes or any episode with characters, you always like explaining designs, and how you feel, and also any mess ups you did in the drawing with said characters. Like how Benny inches to close to the fourth wall during the Voltron Kailua says his whole rant on why it’s wolves and not lions. 😂

This was a very fun time. I love these banter episodes.
Some interesting ideas I have for potential future episodes are Hollow Knight Characters as superheroes, aliens from James Cameron’s Avatar as anything, and I’m gonna keep suggesting that when next April fools day eventually rolls around, you finally rename the channel to Benny Sharp studios for a day and make all the drawing interdimensional versions of Benny.
We need a full video of Pacific-Rim robots, it is SO GOOD!!

Hey Popcross, a good idea might be using Subnautica Leviathans as Mech Armors. If you don't know what Subnautica is, here is a quick explanation:
Subnautica is an underwater horror game with many creatures and biomes and resources, with a full story.
There are 6 Leviathans in Subnautica, and 6 in Below Zero (Not counting other versions of them)
All of the Leviathans are: Reaper Leviathan, Ghost Leviathan, Sea Dragon Leviathan, Reefback Leviathan, Sea Treader Leviathan, Sea Emperor Leviathan, The Chelicerate, Glow Whale, Ice Worm, The Froze Leviathan, The Vent Garden, & Shadow Leviathan.
Let me know if you want to try this idea!
Edit: There are 3 more dead Leviathans, the Guardian Leviathan, the Biter Leviathan, and the Gargantuan Leviathan.

This was completely unexpected... but of course, we can always leave it to Dr. Champagne MacGreggor to give us the best commentary on giant beasties. Honestly, I think he just might be my favorite of the Narrators.

This should be a good episode, and can you do transformers as Pokémon? Could be cool art and story. Also even though Champagne is not getting mad at everything Benny says I still like him.

This was incredible. I always enjoy seeing your Kaiju videos. Especially your Things as Kaijus videos, since they are a favourite of mine and I've been really enjoying your original Kaijus based of these unique topics that you choose. Plus I just generally love Giant robots since they're Giant Robots...enough said. So seeing you turn some Giant Robots into Kaijus is just incredible. I especially love Gipsy Danger’s and Optimus Primal’s designs the most. Gipsy Danger's gives off a cool and almost mysterious creature appearance mixed with a mighty warrior who just emanates a unique sense of power as well as someone who's willing to use its unique set a skills to reenforce the definition of the ultimate hunter...plus I never would have expected that a jaeger from Pacific Rim (which is one of my personal favourite franchises/universe ever) would be turned into a Kaiju but it just works, Voltron’s gives off that of a mysterious mythical creature in resemblance to an otherworldly wolf hybrid that seems to be very ominous in nature with unexpected powers that could make him an interesting obstacle and possible ally...plus I like how he just looks like a cool arial based monster with the iconic Voltron colours and powers and it was a nice idea to make it based off of wolves instead of lions since it makes it a bit more unique, Optimus Primal’s just makes him look like a mysterious yet ferocious beast with some unique powers that shows that some primal beings just want to show just how tough they can be as well as being a powerful force of nature...plus it just looks more interesting that he's a well armoured Gorilla based Kaiju since it does make sense for him since he acts like a jungle beast. They were incredible and I can’t wait to see more videos where you draw more Things as Kaiju’s. It would be interesting to see you do more things with the Giant Robots; maybe turning them into superheroes, or dragons or even as armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these unique SCPs. This was also a great banter episode and it was nice to see Heath interact with Benny and Champagne in something so casual yet pretty entertaining. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video.
P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. Also do you think you could do a video we’re you turn Disney princesses into witches. Also could you try something with Apex Legends?

Christian. This video was absolutely phenomenal. You did a amazing job on the kaiju designs. I have to that my favorite two designs from this video are the Voltron design and the Optimal Primal design. The poses of these designs were fantastic and color schemes were really awesome.
As for the lore of this video. It was spectacular and well written. I really enjoyed the banter between Benny, Heath and Doctor McGreggor, especially when it came to the fact about the Voltron design.
Anyways thank you so much for this wonderful and awesome video. Also thank you for being so positive and giving positive thoughts and vibes at the end of each of your videos.
