- Gwen Stefani gets candid about life pre-Blake Shelton. While appearing on 'The Drew Barrymore Show,' the pop star recalls feeling like her 'life was over' following her divorce from ex Gavin Rossdale.
They're meant to be together. Their love is so pure and beautiful. I'm so happy for both of them.

I've been following Gwen & NO Doubt since they was still playing gigs doing Ska. Gwen was raised in a devoted in Catholic faith. Since the Roman Catholic Church won't let you get married again unless she & Gavin got an Annulment. Gavin didn't watch the Annulment due to their boys. That's why she felt she'd never find love or kiss again.
But when you're in that first stage of grieving about your loss of trust, it's fairly normal to feel the way she did.

How sad that she thought her life was over without a man in it. She's a very successful singer and this is 2022, not the 1950's.
Her parents have been married forever and she had 3 kids while nearing 50. She probably compared her marriage to what was modeled and felt like a failure & was embarrassed. I think it’s very human to feel that way and to admit it to the world. It’s not easy to imagine some lovely guy will come along and lovingly be a step father to your 3 kids, while being on an even playing field in terms of success / career.
Perhaps she meant without a loving partner. What's wrong with wanting love?

That’s because women typically wear makeup, color their hair, etc. There are some men who do those things too (Luke Bryan), but most men can’t be bothered. Women are held to a higher beauty standard. Blake puts temporary color on his hair for filming the Voice or tv spots. Don’t underestimate how much gray hair “ages” your appearance.

This woman has been blessed all her life with so much and she still can’t see it. On top of it she was single for like a minute. She found out about him cheating in February 2016 and went out publicly which Shelton six months after. Give us a break. Just be with him and be happy and do not involve God in this. He has real tragedies to worry about.

@@tc4583 Wrong! God said divorce is not okay EXCEPT if their is abuse or unfaithfulness- which Gavin was. Therefore God condoned her divorce. Remember the "except immorality" part you quoted? Gavin was immoral. God would never expect someone to stay with the person who broke their Covenant. Once that's happened, the vows are broken too- to your spouse AND to God. I'm all about following God's Word but we have to read it in context :)

I never thought about them as having a lot in common but when she said that I was like that is true. She’s always been a old fashioned girl who wanted marriage and family so she really needed a old fashioned guy. So in reality Blake makes more sense for her than her previous partners.

Yeah, Gwen is notorious for man jumping. After Tony broke up with her in 1994/5 ish she started dating Gavin pretty soon after and same thing now with Blake. To each their own, I guess. She’s also talked about how she felt pretty aimless during her divorce career wise too so I think falling in love sparked her passion in a way that made her feel “saved” by Blake. I’m just glad that she’s seemingly happy and is doing her own thing. I do miss her more “authentic” days, but oh well, Gwenie has done enough for pop culture at this point!

Yes. I think it is misleading. Gwen isn’t always good at articulating her thoughts either. She meant she thought the romantic aspect of her life was over, and she was going to just focus on her kids. She wasn’t looking and didn’t think she needed a man at that point in her life. Blake was an unexpected gift.

I don't think she was being overdramatic, she brought it with some lightheartedness and didn't seem to be taking herself too seriously.
