Fixing a broken front tooth with a post, core buildup and crown (after a root canal..)

- In this video, I explain how a completely fractured front tooth near the gum line can be restored with a post core buildup and a crown. Please understand this is overly simplified explanation. Actual procedure may be more complicated.
Step 1: A root canal is performed (not shown in this video. I will make a separate video).
Step 2: The broken tooth surface is cleaned.
Step 3: A fiber post is placed into the prep'd root canal with dental cement.
Step 4: Etchant and bonding agent are applied to the tooth surface and cured with an intense blue light.
Step 5: A core is built using the dental composite material (In our clinic, we use CompCore AF)
Step 6: The tooth is prepared for a crown.
Step 7: Impressions are taken
Step 8: A temporary crown is made.
Step 9: A permanent (nothing is forever though) crown is inserted using dental cement. This usually take 2 weeks.

Doc after root canal the teeth becomes dark, right? After putting a crown, while it lasts the gums is receeding and the dark shadow from the original teeth shows.. how or what to do about that? Hope to notice.. thank you.
Hate it when people post and don't respond. I Have the same thing. Very old . Dentist said it needs a redo since I'm starting to get a bit of sestivity. It's got to be over 30 years old. Think mine is the metal showing through. New one won't do that.

so what you need is for your crown to be removed, a whitening procedure needs to be done, and then a new crown should be put on top. its a bit of a lengthy procedure in that it takes a few appointments, but outcomes are very good.

According to what I got at kriss ai, the overall duration is 3-4 weeks from start to finish and the healing is minimal with most of the time being spent waiting for the crown to be fabricated.

My dentist tried 2x to do a tooth bonding on my lateral incisor i had a root canal done but it broke off within a year, then within a month. I would be curious to know if he was doing it wrong. Oh he didn't put a crown.
Go to turkey, root canal treatment , implant is 500$usd , or zirconium crowns - 110-180$ usd honestly best solution I've ever made for my teeth, in canada i did crowns and they fall of next year, after spending a fortune, i went to turkey and thanks GOD.... happy and with out breaking a budget)

wow so this is what the procedure is called i had the temp crown done (had this done a week ago) my question is why use a temporary crown opposed to using the permanent crown?
& why does it take 2-3 weeks (my dentist told me to comeback in 3 weeks)
It takes that long because the permanent crowns need to be made in a lab and sent to the office when done I just had my temp crowns the other day and now waiting 2 weeks for my permanents to come in

In our clinic, we use CompCore AF. In this video, I just used some expired composite material leftovers for demonstration. :)

no they use a type of adhesive and mechanical locking by making the crown prep a specific shape, dimension, etc to provide resistance from it popping out

My new stupid dentist did the indirect method. Took three months. Tooth still hurts and has a root canal . I suspect a micro fracture . Don't think a hidden infection. Gots to pull it. Why go through apectomy which will not likely discover anything.

I'm so pissed my dentist used a metal post. Literally ruined my life for almost 2 years. Neurotoxicity: lost almost all ability to function. Neuro, GI, hormone, HPA Axis, etc issues that pretty much resulted in me losing eveything.
