Modern day root canal is completely painless unless there is an acute infection associated with the canals, in such cases Dentists advice antibiotic cover before commencing the procedure.
This video depicts a Step by Step procedure in animation format about what the dentist actually do during the root canal treatment.
Typically costs Between Rs 5,000/- to Rs 9000/- Excluding the crown.

Is the doctor supposed to give anesthesia while checking the file sizes? Because yesterday I had my root canal surgery and he did that without anesthesia and it pained like hell.

I had my root canal treatment done last week... Whenever I try to chew there it hurts a little as if I'm pushing the teeth down is this pain normal.? And furthermore is it normal to feel a little weird after getting a permanent crown ? I got my permanent crown yesterday and it feels a bit weird.. Moreover the dental crown feels a bit heavy... I don't know how to describe this feeling... And while chewing I feel a slight push on the root canal tooth... I'm really worried about it.. Is it normal for the first few days??

Just got root canal for 3 of my lower incisor teeth and to be honest my teeth had a severe infection so at the first sitting it took 2 shots of anaesthesia to numb , it hurted a lot but was bearable. After that 2nd and 3rd sitting were without anaesthesia had a little pressure on tooth thats it. So I would like to say that this procedure is pain-free and you experience little to no pain but if anyone has a severe infection like me, they might experience some pain maybe about 3 on a scale of 10. So dont delay your appointment for dentist.
For me it took 20 shots for my tooth not to feel anything

I had my first root canal today and I came into the office scared but I was relaxed when they started. Nice people working there and it just hurt when they got to one spot.

Thats a good Decision. Anything containing artificial sugar should be avoided as far as possible. Choose natural sugar over artificial ones.
I just got one done last week and it hurt a bit during the drilling. But they did give me more anesthesia when I told them. I'm just waiting on my new permanent crown now.
Toothcap should be put right after the procedure of Root canal or we should wait for a week for tooth to heal

I did it yesterday! I wasnt even told it was a root canal, and it didnt even hurt! Oh god the numb needle hurt the most doe. And i kind of thought it was my normal filling appointments so after that day i ate stuff with it and cracked a bit of the filling, like just small 😢😢 now i cant eat anymore bc im scared it will crack LOL
had my root canal yesterday 😭😭 probably the weirdest experience ever and it did not hurt at ALL. just discomfort after theyd told me would happen and that was it thanks to my dentists.

As a guy who has been there and seen this happen, there are people being concerned but believe it or not, is not as painful as it looks according to the patients whom I spoke to

When I got a root canal it hurt when they were picking at my cavity trying to take out that black stuff in it and It Hurt too when they were drilling too and I had to get 20 shots of anesthesia since my tooth was still feeling pain

I was having tooth pain so I went to see a dentist. He said that I had a crack under an old filling and recommended a crown. My appointment went well and he put in a temporary crown that should be ready in 3 weeks. Problem is that I'm having discomfort under the temporary crown that doesn't seem to be getting better after 5 days. Should I go back to have it looked at? Thanks.

It's does not hurt, if ur dentist has prescribed you an anti biotic cover.
If ithere is an acute infection & no anti biotic cover is prescribed.

About a grand maybe a couple hundred more. If you have decent insurance like I do I only pay about 600 bucks for a root canal

Why am i having severe pain AFTER RCT,just after the anesthesia wore off?
May be some infection would be present, or there were multiple canals, which are to be throughly cleaned.
