I made the mistake during a dye video tear down and dropped a spacer, and it rolled under the refrigerator. Needed to find a stick to retrieve it! Parts can be hard to see even on an open floor! A magnet mat is awesome, and putting a towel in front of the fridge during a tear down.. just in case. Great review video!
Melissa, I do enjoy your videos, thank you. My biggest concern with folding knives is the sturdiness of the locks. Although they are not for stabbing the possibility exist that in an emergency stabbing may be necessary. Could you address the sturdiness of the locks?
I got the xt.. really love the design.. it’s chunky.. the pivot lock is great. I hope they make scales for these eventually I’d like to have a carbon fiber one

100% agree when you said something along the lines of "a good manual folder feels assisted" and its something i never see people mention very often. its just the best. g10 WE banters are a another good example of that and it makes them one of my favorite knives. was already interested in the PLX series but that sold me.
Yes! It’s not nearly as whippy as the banter but the banter is on a whole other level of a manual that feels assisted, one of my favorite EDC Knife designs! The bearings on this one are a bit larger, so it takes more to get them past the pivot point, but still feels very nice and smooth, plus the added size of them and the other internal components makes it feel like a much tougher Blade
I love the channel a lot, my rotation is you, metal complex and knife center (DCA is a legend) I would very much enjoy if its not too much work if you displayed grams in the parts were you weigh the knives. As the knife hobby is a very global thing, us euros already have to learn a lot of conversions haha!
Awwhh What A Princess! One thing you should tell the knife makers Melissa is to make them ambidextrous. Like most the 9 mm pistols on the market it is not any more difficult or expensive to make the mag release button ambidextrous. Same goes for the release button on this knife. They just aren't thinking. First knife maker that realizes that is going to sell alot more knives for no effort or increase in cost. As always Nicely Done Miss Melissa Backwoods, Nicely Done!
I'm new to your channel I'm just starting out on your channel and it's looking really good I like pocket knives they're really cool they come in useful days of working out in the woods and yeah cool you should also do a video on like Walmart knives and other type of knives from like stores and stuff and compare them to the better knives that you can buy online

Anyone else having problems with the lock on the PLX-T? I got mine a couple of days ago and things started out great, but now almost every time I try to disengage it the pivot won't push in. The "lock lock" is still in the fully disengaged position but the pivot button sticks on something and I have to wiggle it around until I find a position where I can push it in.
Sadly, imported knives here in Canada cost far too much, due to our wonderful duties/regulations. Extra points for you being a southpaw, and a bit of a weirdo.

the plx-f seems like a beefier cousin to the protech/we/ferrum button lock mordax. i could go for one in black with the red accents.
I dig that color scheme a lot. Not even a red and black kind of person, but it looks good, especially on those circular cut outs with the G10 in lays.
