  • 👊 Marvel Champions - How to Play - Part 1: The Rules 👊
    Marvel Champions is the first game that got me interested in solo board gaming. It is not difficult to learn, but it isn't an easy game to play. You will need to develop a strategy (construct your deck in a certain way) that can win you the game and execute it while managing various obstacles. In this video, I will teach you how to play Marvel Champions. I will go over the rules in detail, so if you are interested in learning this game, stick around and watch the video! Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section below.
    In my next video, I will teach how to set up the game board and do a quick playthrough with Spider-Man against Rhino.

    A bit slow at explaining everything, but absolutely perfect at explaining everything.

    This is by far the best explanation of any board game that I have seen so far. Great Job!!!

    Great video. It's absurd that you can't find any simple rule guide for this game on yt. And here you come, to the rescue! 🤣 Some superheroes do not have to Wear capes!

    I was super confused even watching many video's - so much assumption of what the audience knows. This is the first video to really explain it. Clear, concise, thorough. I cannot tell you thank you enough!

    This explains the game best. I had an idea of how to play (only played twice) but this helped me with the fine tuning. Thank you for this. Part 2 really helped me see it in full

    I'll take the slow and easy explanation....Looking at this game as a complete Noobie...I'm getting anxiety just from some of the parts of the initial play.😂😂😂

      It can be overwhelming in the beginning, but after a few plays, it becomes second nature!

    Have you played with all three colors of playmats? If so which is better for clear sleeves. If you have an opinion on it. Good intro sharing with buddies.

    • @jinsoloboardgames
      @jinsoloboardgames  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The only playmats I have are the doctor strange and iron man. I prefer the design of doctor strange! For clear sleeves, I think any playmats would go well :)

    Question if the boost card stats when revealed when boosting does the effect of that card go into effect or just the boost value? And what happpens if the card has no boost value? thank you

    • @jinsoloboardgames
      @jinsoloboardgames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi squirt! Generally speaking, the when revealed effected of a boost card is treated as blank. The only time you read the content of a boost card is if the boost card has a red star symbol in the corner of the boost card and in the text. Otherwise, the text is only for an encounter card. If the boost card has no boost value, then there is no boost effect! Which is good! :)

    • @piklerikk1119
      @piklerikk1119 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Boost cards are looked at as blank pieces of paper except the boost icons. When revealed is only when it's drawn by villain for use.

    Is there any point in splitting and assigning damage from a single attack across multiple minions? If an attack of 5 is dealt but the minion only has 2HP. i can discard the minion and ignore the remaining 3 damage right? That doesn't go to the hero?

    • @jinsoloboardgames
      @jinsoloboardgames  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that’s correct. However, if your attack had the keyword “overpower” (it could be overwhelm, I have to double check), then the excess damage is dealt to the villain.

    • @prash11leo
      @prash11leo ปีที่แล้ว

      Oops I meant to say ally and not minion in my above example. But yeah, same concept, I guess

    • @jinsoloboardgames
      @jinsoloboardgames  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@prash11leo oh, yes! Generally speaking, you ignore the excess damage applied to allies too! That is why allies are such great chump blockers - with one health you can mitigate infinite 1 time damage. However, there is also a keyword which I can’t remember off the top of my head, that applies the excess damage to heros. You can find it in the Galaxy Most Wanted expansion - Ronin villain!

    this game seems fun but a bit confusing to learn

    • @jinsoloboardgames
      @jinsoloboardgames  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be confusing. I recommend just sticking with the base game until you are solid with the base rules before adding new content that introduces new keywords and mechanics.
