    Hey Darkness! I just want to say I love your content! I've seen almost all your videos for the past 5 years, man! You're the best true story narrator on this platform! Great voice, and great content! I've really learned quite a lot about the paranormal through your videos, and I take it seriously! I have a few stories to tell myself 😊 Love you man, I wish you well 💖

      I grew up in Enumclaw, and I loved growing up there. But I now live in Northern Idaho, and although I do miss the cascades, it's much much much nicer here, Imo. Cleaner, the people are super friendly and much safer than Federal Way, where I was last living.

    I was stationed at Fort Lewis from 1980-1984 as an infantry officer. 9th Infantry Division but several of my buddies were in 2/75 Ranger at the same time. The Rangers had a lot of weird interactions in the deeeeep training areas because they often parachuted into the area. My own experiences in the 9th were mostly benign and something pretty easily explained away by jittery troops. I did a lot of hunting with friends near the base of Mt. Rainer. We were after Elk and pretty heavily armed. Not a great target for either Squatch or Dogman (something I never even heard of until my retirement from being a public school teacher in 2018).

    • @ceejay9337
      @ceejay9337 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      My dad was in the army too, and we were stationed at ft. Lewis, the same exact years you were! I guess I need to ask my dad if he remembers ever seeing anything strange when he was out in the field.

    • @ExSoldier762
      @ExSoldier762 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ceejay9337 the terrain was so damn dense and thick… rarely were thing’s seen. The Ranger’s had an interaction in about 1982, IIRC with a Squatch along a firebreak way to the north. Don’t even know if it was on the military reservation. They were on an FTX and expected to run an ambush against their own OPFOR but it wasn’t expected until 0300 but had noise movement two hours earlier in the vicinity of the KZ. Flipped on the NODS (primitive equipment compared to nowadays I guess) and in the grainy green image saw a Squatch standing in the open staring at them. I don’t think I remember how far. Not super close, it wasn’t supposed to be a “near ambush.” What’s the average distance across a fire break?
      Anyway on the fly, the OIC calls an audible and everything is shifted along the firebreak about a klick. The whole scenario is just shifted. Radio calls made by way of confirmation (but not, IIRC the reason for the change). So that happens and inside of a couple of hours, guess who reappeared? Getting close to dawn. Whole op is scrubbed and and all forces (including the OPFOR- who never saw or heard anything) were extracted by Helo.
      I wasn’t there. I was invited to the after action brief by a couple of friends who were staff officers. But neither the CO or the XO were in the room. Plausible deniability? I dunno. I’ve never really spoken of this before as I was asked to not speak about it. 40 years ago.

    Lived in Wa for 32 years.. Ive seen quite a few incredible ufos, and ive heard the squatches many times. screaming, even the samurai chatter, and even a strange ufo/ sasquatch experience combined at Lake Trask. Most of these encounters and sightings were in Mason county. But one encounter was hiking to a hot springs near Snoqualmie. Also there are giant slow moving ufos with cloaking tech that fly over the Oso valley near Arlington, I'm talking like half a mile plus percieved size.

    Camping in northern Montana as I write this. Already heard a strange very loud howling. And. big paw print. And a death like poop smell that seems to move around. Of course the howl and paw print could be a big dog but it does sound odd. And the smell could actually be something dead. Or a stinky bear. But Im keeping an ear out tonight just in case.

    The Irish tale I truly loved because I have always believed in the banshee, usually I was told she called the name of the person who was going to die. I am not from Ireland, but I am over 50% Irish and had to read about my culture's folklore. The banshee did scare me as a child, but as I got older I realized she's not scary, she's delivering sad news and although her cries or screams might be scary sounding it could be because she's anguished with knowing a soul has departed. My question would be is if the banshee stays in Ireland or can she be found anywhere else? Has anyone encountered her outside of Ireland?

But apparently the fire tortoise had already been summoned so I jumped down and pointed at it directly in the face and it withered away into dust. Man, thanks for giving me a platform to tell my true story just like the rest of these.

    I always enjoy the stories that you collect for these episodes but I thought it was worth pointing out that the choice to have an Irish folktale told by British voice actors is something that a lot of Irish people would find very offensive, I know that no offense was intended but considering the history involved with those cultures it is probably best to be more careful in future and either read the stories yourself or get Irish voice actors to read them.

    That first story is ridiculous. The writer is trying so hard to sound sophisticated and did the exact opposite. "The deceased bodies of animals" seriously? How about" dead animals?" Plain English actually works much better.Also the animals were more badly mangled than road kill? Cars and trucks mangle animals worse than anything else does.
