I'd be crazier than Jinx if I had to wait 3 years! 🤣 I'm not usually one to obsess over shows or movies, but Arcane is just different. I watched it only about a month and a half ago and since then I've been devouring every bit of Arcane content I can find (with the exception of the leaks) like behind the scenes, cast interviews, AMVs, reactions, speculations, a bit of game character lore, I even ended up watching several hours of a professional psychologist break down Jinx (the channel is called Psyculturists, he spends like 3-5 hours per episode and it's amazing!), etc. and I've been editing multiple Arcane AMVs simultaneously because only working on one doesn't feel like enough. This is one of those rare shows that just grabs you and doesn't let go. 😄
Thank you for your reaction, you lovely people c: you are one of the special ones who knew Silco would have never given up Jinx, I love the fact you noticed how much he loves her and how out of character it would have been if he did. I am very excited to see your reaction to s2 teaser trailer and eventually s2 itself! All the best
I know you guys probably heard it a lot of times, but you definitely should watch Bridging the rift. The process behind the making of Arcane is fascinating and very inspiring. A lot of people have even cried watching it. It really showcases what passion and determination can achieve.
If you were wondering where the shield came from when Vi activated it, it was designed by Jayce and Viktor for the mining colony in the fissures, if a mine would collapse, the workers could shield themselves and avoid dying.
This is pure speculation with no basis in the show. Vi didn't intentionally activate the shield--you can see how surprised she is when it goes off. And what good will a 3-second shield do for those stuck in a collapsing mine shaft? I think the shield is a feature of the arcane, not a feature of the Atlas Gautlets. (If the shield were designed, Jayce and Viktor would have shown it to a safety-focused Heimerdinger in Ep. 4--they didn't.) Such an arcane shield is how, I think, Jayce will survive Jinx's rocket attack on the counsel--he'll be protected by an arcane shield sourced from the gem he wears on his cuff.
@@Lorrin81Doesn't matter if it's speculation, Jayce said in episode 4 it was for the mining colony in the fissures and the way Vi lifts the gauntlet above her head, which indicates the gauntlet to activate the shield mechanic, it gets disabled once she removes her arm above her head, it's not 3 seconds, it is shown that it turns off when her arm is down. Thus the only logical explanation to this feature existing would be a fail safe mechanic if an incident would occur in a mine shaft. There are many things happening in the show that doesn't get explained, who's to say the shield mechanic was implemented from the beginning in the lab and not later on down the line.
@@ChristinaWintherLolkkinda late but i agree with you 100% that the gloves were designed for cave ins. Its the best logical explanation for them and i think its pretty obvious if you think about it.
@@ChristinaWintherLolk I love how @Lorrin81 calls your very logical extrapolation baseless speculation, then goes on to predict that Jace will be miraculously saved by a tiny, spent crystal that somehow thinks for itself despite not being part of a hex-core.
Mrs. Medarda was the only one who realized love was a weakness, that's why she secluded and exiled her daughter to not stand in her way or worse yet, die like her brother Kino. We found out at the end when Silco pours one out for Vander under the fountain statue, that's the moment he realized Vander was right, he knew why Vander became a pacifist and stopped fighting and pursuing his dream of the nation of Zaun, Silco saw himself in Vander, at the end he said "Is there anything so undoing as a daughter" Jinx undid what Silco became, just like Powder and Vi undid who Vander was on the bridge in episode 1. Silco couldn't give up what he loved the most, Jinx meant more to him at the end, he wouldn't give her up in return for peace and independance.
One of the reasons this show is so incredible is the fact that it respects the audience. It drops the hints, makes the references, and lets you find and interpret them instead of spelling everything out and saying “see? See what we did? Look at how we made this parallel or this reference!” It just does a beautiful, complex, and deep story and says - “enjoy this.” And from all the reactions I’ve seen (a LOT), people get most of them. And on a rewatch, they get more and more. More shows should take note and just focus on doing amazing work and simply letting it stand on its own. That being said - watch it again. Now that you’ve seen where it’s going, there are SOOOO many interesting things it does that you can find.
Jinx said to make Cait go away, not die. So this either ment she didn't mean for Vi to kill her OR she doesnt see death as a bad thing, but more of a release(which i think is more possible considering the whole Jinx Ekko moment on the bridge) And a small sad detail: the weapon that was basically a bazooka was a actually a gift designed for Silco. When we first meet him hes in his weird hide out with odd sea creatures and talks about how he loves them. The weapon is a damn shark. I think that just goes to show how much Jinx truly did love him like a father😭
Also, in-game she has names for both her rocket launcher and her minigun. The rocket launcher, which is what she created at the end with the shark face, she calls Fishbones in-game. Her minigun is called Pow-Pow, which if you remember, Vi calls her a couple of times as a nickname for Powder.
The "make her go away" is a reference to EP8 where Vi and Cait are on the bed , when Vi tells her how they used to play monsters and how she would chase the Monstes away. So it's Powder asking her big Sister to make the scary Monster(Caitlyn) disappear like she used to when they were kids.
When you can get your audience teary eyed about a villains death, that’s when you know you’ve mastered storytelling. So glad you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. Imagine us having to wait for 2 years after this! 😅
I remember when I finished watching this series the first time, I was in tears and utterly stunned for about an hour. I was just processing everything that happened and the implications of it. I was just overwhelmed and speechless. Even though I have watched this series an ungodly number of times (like 25 times) I am always in tears watching this episode and I really appreciate watching first time reactors watch this and seeing their thoughts and conclusions. I know I don't have to say it but this show is just next level storytelling and as a long time league player it makes me just so happy how well the creators of the show did justice to the lore and the characters. Thanks for your reaction! I look forward to watching more of your reactions in general!
Appreciate you watching with us. The show is so well written and we’re so lucky to have found this show 4 MONTHS before season 2 comes out!😃 I’m looking forward to a rewatch before the 2nd season!
I love when reactors like yourselves give yourselves over to the story. Just goes to show the power of great storytelling. I will be looking forward to the reactions to season 2.
I love Silco being out in the same position that Vander was in and finally realizing why Vander was able to walk away or feel that the cost of who might be lost wasnt worth it.
Never knew animation could punch you in the feels so hard. I was going to watch this with my mom a couple years ago during a visit. But we didn’t end up getting to visit. Watching your reactions I texted my mom and encouraged her to watch it without me. It’s too good. And with season two coming soon…!!! Loved your reactions. Great job.
I always find it funny how surprised people are by the shield in the bar fight. Jayce had one just like it that he used intentionally on the bridge in the last episode. If he designed his hammer to be both offensive and defensive it only stands to reason he would have similar features in other devices.
Wonderful show, and something I never expected. I got into it thinking "eh, why not?" but it is one of the finest shows I have ever seen crafted. It's also such a breath of fresh air, soo many properties have been around soo long they are getting rebooted to death and back. Season 2 is only mere months away. See you all there.
Watching both of your reactions to this show has been an absolute joy. You both seem like wonderful people and you interact with and bounce off of each other so well. It's lovely to see people come to love this show as much as I do. Thanks for posting your reactions. Imo the undercity deserved independence. Silco was generally right about fighting them and his deal with Jayce was good. But he did suck at running the place. Thanks you both!🥰 I'm quite happy you finally reached the end of the season of this awesome show, but I'm also pretty sad because it's the last episode (for now).
You guys should watch (and for me, selfishly, react) the first teaser released shortly after season one, the teaser after that which was a few months ago, and the latest trader, a few weeks ago. Also would love your reactions to their yearly cinematics 😊
People trying to tell you things will be ok after a great loss are totally screwed throughout all human history. The smart response is: I'm so sorry this happened. Dumb response: everything will be ok.
Arcane is a masterpiece for sure. Whole universe of League of Legends is a masterpiece. Regions and stories in Arcane are so little compared to rest of the world. You should start to watching cinematics immediately
Take comfort in only having to wait until November for season 2 while the rest of us have been waiting 2yrs. The first season took 6yrs to make after it was announced.
Another really great reaction! S1 was Jinx origin story. We’ll see more of Vi’s trauma in S2. Please do a reaction to the S2 teaser trailer! You’re so lucky you only have to wait 4 months till S2. Look forward to that reaction!
I watched Arcane for the first time about a month and a half ago and I do not envy the people (like my sister) who watched it when it aired and have had to wait 3 years for it to continue. That is such a brutal cliffhanger! 😰
@@Reactsandgames Exactly! That feels just about perfect. Long enough to have some anticipation but not soooo long as to completely lose what little is left of my sanity. 😁
amazing reaction, ill add one last note because it really showed how amazing this writing is... the shield, that ended the fight between Vi and Sevika seemed totally random to me (yeah, its something from the game, so it was randomly put in), so i thought... then someone explained it to me. The gauntlets were created for mining. biggest danger when mining are stones falling down on the worker. so far so good, here comes the writing: vi is bad at blocking, she always focus on attacking (ekko: you block with your face, vander: your guard needs work,...). then vander gives his speech to vi, right before the fight continues. tells her to guard. Sevika jumps at Vi FROM ABOVE like falling stones and vi goes into a guard stance. thats how the shield activated. blew my mind then, still does now. also: Vander became a monster to protect Vi, Silco became a human to protect Jinx.
I highly suggest watching season cinematic’s from league of legends, absolutely incredible animation work! There’s one called ‘warriors’ which features a couple of characters you will recognise.
A couple things that stand out: 1. When they do the dinner plate reveal thing about making "Catelyn a snack"..... For a single frame it actually cuts to a picture of Catelyn as Jynx pulls the lid off (full picture of her in uniform) just to mess with you, subliminally. 2. Same scene, worth mentioning that Vi always calls Catelyn "Cupcake" and jinx actually makes a cupcake for her snack. Not sure that actually means anything, nor did Vi actually call Catelyn cupcake in Jynx's presence, but notable. 3. Saw this on another vid, can't remember if it's true or just a joke, but Vi is surprised by the shield effect, because that is supposedly the first time she actually blocks (Echo makes the joke that she still blocks with her face)
I feel like the cupcake detail can't be a coincidence, and it probably means that Jinx was following them around at some point and overheard them. It would make more sense for it to be before the bridge fight/explosion, maybe she picked up their trail when Cait, Vi, and Ekko were heading toward the bridge at some point. On the other hand, maybe after she got all shimmered, she followed them into Piltover proper and was just waiting til Vi left to go after Cait.
Even then, Piltover would have tried a peaceful approach anyway. Now, it's not only impossible, but it also achieved the completely opposite of what was supposed to happen.
8:50 well, I think Jayce at that point hasn't seen Jinx, so I couldn't make a connection between her and Vi; but if he had seen her I doubt that he would still have thought that she was her sister, Vi has red hair and Jinx Blue xDD
12:01 --> Vi's Shield with her gauntlet --> It's a worker gauntlet... when a part of a building colaps and fall on a worker, the worker will have this reflex... and the gauntlet knows he has to put a shield. (And it's also a passif ability in the game for Vi) Now you can watch some cinematic like : League of Legends Warriors 💕 League of Legends Awaken League of Legends Still Here League of Legends Kin of the Stained Blade | Spirit Blossom 💕 --> My 4 best cinematics. After that there is many other if you want ^^
That’s amazing! And a very handy tool to have! I will have to check those out! Do we need to do a bit of background before watching? Literally know nothing apart from watching Arcane😂!
When Jinx shoots the rocket, you can see her tears are shimmer, because her blood is partly shimmer now. So she's crying tears of blood for all the things the topside did to her and her parents.
😊😊😊❤ The trailer for Season 2 is now up.. Hope you give it a go.. Done bingeing waiting for the next season.. Thanks for your reaction and God Bless Guys 😊❤
Ironically, my reason for thinking Mel isn't dead is Ambessa's line "You're council is dead". I'm surprised by how many decided to take this line litterally. The way I see it, the council recieved such a devastating blow by Jinx that for all practical purposes, it is now dead. Meaning, it's remaining members are either too few to form a "legitimate council", or they're currently too severly wounded to cary out their duties. In any case, the way Ambessa phrases her line is one of the reasons I think Mel is still alive. She doesn't state, "My daughter is dead", but instead she focuses on the council and its collapse as the governing entity in Piltover. And who is she talking to when refering to "Your council"? To me, this sounds like something she would say to either Mel, or Jayce, or both. The other reason I think Mell is alive, is her tone of voice. It is not that of a warrior and a mother having experienced a devastating and personal loss. Remember the vulnerability she exposed in the last episode of season 1 when she told Mel "You weakened me!" Mel's death would impact her severly, no matter how hardened she is as a warrior. Instead it sounds much more like she's finally found a justification to further her goal towards securing hextech weaponry, which she states as her main intent in season 1. Hence the line "Wrath must be met with wrath", meaning she can now invade Piltover/Zaun to claim hextech on the moral grounds that she's doing what's necessary to protect the city. That's why I belive Mel's still alive :)
@@Reactsandgames Me too!! There's been some speculation regarding her gold "armor", and the way it seems to brighten the moment before Jinx's rocket hits. It also seems like Mel is somehow able to sense the approaching danger in the way she turns her head towards it. Hopefully this means she has some kind of protection we're not yet aware of🤞😊 I'm so curious to find out!
That shot @19:20 I have a 40” wide canvas of it in my ManCave. My wife says I like psycho chick characters a bit too much. My response was, “we’ve been married for over 20 years. What does that say about you?” 😜
@@Reactsandgames ya, I’m currently painting a 1/6 model of her holding the flair up. I paint models (started with Warhammer) but now I it is 1/6 3d printed models. From where I sit I can see a Tifa, Cammy, Chun Li, Psylocke, Vi, Cloud, Sepheroth, Ash, Tiver Tam, Kinx and Alita. Yep, I’m a dork. 😜
Just to point out that Jinx thought nothing of psychologically torturing Vi over Caitlyn. 1) Vi can never have a gf in Jinx's mind 2) the relationship between the 3 in S2 is going to be spicy.
Powder/Jinx is a monster of her own making. Ekko told it like it was two episodes ago. She's unstable, and that affects her perception. But her violence is because she's angry and wants to hurt people like she's been hurt. She's just a killer like any of the others that worked for Silco. As a brilliant man once said about the killers he prosecuted, "They're all broken in some way.", as in they all have a sad story to tell.
I can see your point. I don’t know about her own making though. Personally I do think she was moulded into this from being so young when she lost Vi and Vander and was taking on by Silco. That environment would have been totally toxic and I’ve seen great kids in real life completely turned into absolute MONSTERS because of the environment they are surrounded by. Young minds are easily shaped.
@@Reactsandgames I mean she got there with every choice she made. Ekko with similar trauma made different choices. She built herself into Jinx with each choice including staying with Silco over going with Ekko "the boy savior". She has trauma for sure, and it causes certain instinctive responses. But she chooses the action consistently that allows her to spread her pain around, until she's made herself the type of person that could start a war, because she's angry at the world. That rocket was about hurting as many people as she could. That's why she hears Silco's voice saying "We'll show them.", just before pulling the trigger. Great character, and we see how she gets there. But she's basically a more unhinged version of Silco at this point. If she survives, we'll see if Mal does something similar and turns to her mother. If so she and Caitlyn might unite in burning the under city to the ground.
@Reactsandgames their's a therapist that reacts to each which is very interesting... and remix by raven... everyone had same reaction to the abrupt ending... four months til next season, not bad..
having discovered Arcane for myself only six weeks ago, it's been a pleasure watching a contemporary reaction series, if only to see whether Arcane is still giving other people an emotional kicking like it did me. you didn't disappoint. all i can say is that at least we don't have to wait 3 years for more. as a side note - i haven't really seen anyone pick up on a whisper during the tea party. just before Jinx pulls her gun on Caitlyn during the stand off, she hears a voice in her head saying "it's time to leave them", coupled with the fact that Jinx *didn't* open fire leads me to think that red eye Jinx had already made up her mind to go her own way. she just wanted to know whether Vi or Silco would accept her for what she is now (Caitlyn was a prop essentially). i really don't think she was going to harm any of them. as it turned out it all went pear shaped anyway when Vi inadvertently screwed her mind up and red eye Jinx shot the source of the firing pin sound. what a series huh? thanks again for sharing the ride.
For me, Jayce negotiating with Silco was one of the most shocking things in this show. It just didn't occur to me as a possibility. Every time a character suggested a peaceful solution I was like "yeah, just kill Silco and find a peaceful solution, obviously." Then when they revealed peace might mean giving Silco what he wants I was shook. What if the price of peace is letting Silco get away with everything he's done? The thing is, his demands aren't even that unreasonable, it's just his methods are so extreme. But if he gets what he wants, doesn't that justify his methods? Also, Sevika is low key one of my favourite characters. I think she exemplifies the quality of the writing of this show. She's a secondary character, the number two of the villain and that's all she needed to be, but they gave even her depth and dimensions. Sevika is a true believer in the cause of Zaun. She betrayed Vander because she didn't believe he could lead the Undercity, and she stayed loyal to Silco because she believed he was the better leader, especially over a "worm" like Finn who only saw the Undercity as an "enterprise." Also, I think Mel's mum is the "bigger fish" that Finn mentioned. She knows a lot about what's going on in the Undercity, and it makes sense that if she wants the war to unfold she would remove Silco and essentially replace him with someone like Finn, who's more interested in money than revolution.
Nice theory about Mel’s mum. We couldn’t believe the meeting scene at first glance. In the full clip we thought they had been working together at first😂😂

The ending scene is absolutely a work of art! What could have been, indeed!
100%. The show is FULL of beautiful set pieces!
You guys should watch (and for me, selfishly, react) the first teaser released shortly after season one, the teaser after that which was a few months ago, and the latest trader, a few weeks ago. Also would love your reactions to their yearly cinematics 😊
The problem with Vi is that all she sees is Powder, her young sister who needed her protection, and cannot accept Jinx.
You guys should react to the season 2 teaser!
Loved going on this journey with you 💜
It’s on the channel😉 thanks for watching with us!!
People trying to tell you things will be ok after a great loss are totally screwed throughout all human history. The smart response is: I'm so sorry this happened. Dumb response: everything will be ok.
Vi's visions of her past are a source of strength. Jinx's visions of her past are a source of pain.
😢❤️
Arcane is a masterpiece for sure. Whole universe of League of Legends is a masterpiece. Regions and stories in Arcane are so little compared to rest of the world. You should start to watching cinematics immediately
Planning too😉👍🏻
I suggest you to react to the making of Arcane " Bridging the Rift " its fantastic and probably the season 2 trailer.
Season 2 trailer is live on the channel! 😃 definitely will be checking out the doc series!
Congrats on a great series of reactions
Thank you!
Take comfort in only having to wait until November for season 2 while the rest of us have been waiting 2yrs. The first season took 6yrs to make after it was announced.
That’s insane! 6 years!!? Wow. I am glad it’s only a small wait for us lol
Another really great reaction!
S1 was Jinx origin story. We’ll see more of Vi’s trauma in S2.
Please do a reaction to the S2 teaser trailer! You’re so lucky you only have to wait 4 months till S2. Look forward to that reaction!
Looking forward to it! Trailer is on the channel😃
I watched Arcane for the first time about a month and a half ago and I do not envy the people (like my sister) who watched it when it aired and have had to wait 3 years for it to continue. That is such a brutal cliffhanger! 😰
Such a long wait! We are lucky we are only having to wait a couple of months!
❤️
I highly suggest watching season cinematic’s from league of legends, absolutely incredible animation work! There’s one called ‘warriors’ which features a couple of characters you will recognise.
A couple things that stand out:
Now the stage for the new season is ready. The old threads of the plot are broken and a new reality can be discovered
Amazing reactions for the whole series
Thank you so much! It’s on the channel😉
Peace never would have happened because Silco would not have given up Jinx :(
Yep :) And Jinx didn't even know they were voting for peace :D
Even then, Piltover would have tried a peaceful approach anyway. Now, it's not only impossible, but it also achieved the completely opposite of what was supposed to happen.
8:50 well, I think Jayce at that point hasn't seen Jinx, so I couldn't make a connection between her and Vi; but if he had seen her I doubt that he would still have thought that she was her sister, Vi has red hair and Jinx Blue xDD
get hyped for season 2!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Consider us hyped!!
If you look for other great shows like Arcane, you should watch Cyberpunk Edgerunners (one season only) and Blue Eye Samurai. All 3 are amazing shows.
12:01 --> Vi's Shield with her gauntlet --> It's a worker gauntlet... when a part of a building colaps and fall on a worker, the worker will have this reflex... and the gauntlet knows he has to put a shield.
(And it's also a passif ability in the game for Vi)
Now you can watch some cinematic like :
League of Legends Warriors 💕
League of Legends Awaken
League of Legends Still Here
League of Legends Kin of the Stained Blade | Spirit Blossom 💕
--> My 4 best cinematics.
😢
😊😊😊❤
The trailer for Season 2 is now up..
Hope you give it a go..
Done bingeing waiting for the next season.. Thanks for your reaction and God Bless Guys 😊❤
Appreciate you checking out all the reactions! Means a lot to us! Thank you so much!
I agree! I don’t think she’s dead! No way. I wonder how she survived!?!
That shot @19:20
I have a 40” wide canvas of it in my ManCave. My wife says I like psycho chick characters a bit too much. My response was, “we’ve been married for over 20 years. What does that say about you?” 😜
Nice! I see it’s the same one in your thumbnail too! Great shot!
Hahaha 😂👍🏻
@@Reactsandgames ya, I’m currently painting a 1/6 model of her holding the flair up.
I paint models (started with Warhammer) but now I it is 1/6 3d printed models. From where I sit I can see a Tifa, Cammy, Chun Li, Psylocke, Vi, Cloud, Sepheroth, Ash, Tiver Tam, Kinx and Alita.
Yep, I’m a dork. 😜
please react to the season 2 teaser that just recently came out! 🙏🏼😭
It’s on the channel!😉
And then 3 long years.......😢
League players know what happened to the Council but I won't spoil it :)
Oooooo I’m jealous!! Haha can’t wait to find out!!
Okey Dokey! 😬
YAYY
Liam, have you been training love?! You look extra buff here. 💪😄
😂 a little bit but not enough!😂
Watch the Enemy music video. Some Arcane character stuff there.
Got a few things planned. This is definitely one of them!
season 2 is coming... hang on until November
Literally can’t wait!!😍
Just to point out that Jinx thought nothing of psychologically torturing Vi over Caitlyn. 1) Vi can never have a gf in Jinx's mind 2) the relationship between the 3 in S2 is going to be spicy.
It’s definitely going to be interesting!
At least you guys only have to wait 4-5 months for season 2 and not THREE YEARS. 😂
I know! So lucky. 3 years would have KILLED US! Lol
As you are deprived of good content regarding arcane, I can recommend bridging the rift, it's a behind the scenes on TH-cam
100% watching that!
Please react to the S2 Teaser Trailer 😊 Love u both ❤
It’s on the channel! Thanks for watching!❤️
Like I said least you didn't have to wait four years...
I know! 😂 that would have been torture!
Appreciate you watching! So lucky we don’t have to wait so long to see the next season! This season was an emotional rollercoaster!
It's so sad to think that they could have been happy if Silco hadn't kidnapped Vander... Jinx and Vi, you have my heart.
I know😢
For me, Jayce negotiating with Silco was one of the most shocking things in this show.
She betrayed Vander because she didn't believe he could lead the Undercity, and she stayed loyal to Silco because she believed he was the better leader, especially over a "worm" like Finn who only saw the Undercity as an "enterprise."
Also, I think Mel's mum is the "bigger fish" that Finn mentioned.
