Three years later the Lions are one game away from the Superbowl!!!!!!! He's been such a huge part of this turnaround. He's become the top Offensive Lineman in the NFL!!!!
Penei has by far surpassed all the expectations that pretty much any Lions fan had for him when he was drafted. Don’t get me wrong, we all knew he was going to be very good, but he is already the best Tackle, Right or Left, in the NFL.
He is also an amazing leader and he does amazing things on the field that remind all of us how athletic and impactful an individual offensive lineman can be.
Looking forward to the Lions signing this guy to a lifetime contract and Penei leading this team for the next ten years.
Penei Sewell in 3 short years has become the most dominant OL player in the NFL. And he is only 22. At the end of next season he will become the highest paid OL in NFL history and he will deserve it. No one dominates the best D linemen like Penei. And he is just growing and getting better. Looking forward to seeing him play in the NFC Championship game tomorrow evening. What speaks volumes to me is he is a sure fire 1st round pick and instead of going to the draft in Cleveland, he elected to stay at home with his family and friends to see where he was selected. When he is on the phone with Lions GM Brad Holmes, he tells Penei he wants him in their pride and he is a big part of what they (the Lions) are doing going forward. Very excited for the Lions future regardless of the outcome of tonight’s NFC Championship!
Life long Lions fan here. It's one thing to have an anchor potential pro bowl wall/road grater on our line for years. It's another to have an outstanding human being with character and integrity. He has both in spades and I feel like we won the lottery with this kid.

He has been an absolute superstar from the first second he stepped foot on a football field. His very first game he absolutey owner Nick Bosa to the point the niners had to move him to the other side. He will no doubt have a long hall of fame career in Detroit.
