Fear is great! I love the first. Nice Nintendo scores! Such a fun convention. Definitely wish they didn’t go by so quick. Love spooky season! This was a great video. Love the b roll, back and forth, and editing. Great job! 🔥
Thanks Brandi. I feel like when I record at these places I don’t do a good job so I am always wondering how the edit will end up. 🤣 I really enjoyed myself up there for this con. They had a nice selection of games to choose from for sure. I left a few things there that I wish I had pulled the trigger on though. Next year I will definitely stay the weekend and hang out. 🍻
This was a fun one! It’s nowhere near as large as SEGE has been but the free play area was amazing! The marketplace had a lot of cool stuff too and the community definitely was out supporting it. Good time for sure! 🤙🏻
Hey, I think all those games count the magician one had ghosts in it, fair enough as a Halloween game. That free play area is absolutely freaking wild!! I was getting caught up on polos today and heard you talking about it and I'm so happy you had it in this video. That would be wicked awesome at SEGE too but I guess since they have the night at Pinky's before the event then that's probably our free to play experience LOL
This was an awesome little con! I am gonna try next year to make a weekend of it though. A lot of driving for a one day run. The free play arcade area could keep you busy here for days along the way! It was massive and packed with great games! SEGE was a lot bigger both years from just an event standpoint but the free play area was impressive. 🤙🏻
dude Spotted Cow, that bring back some hazy memories of La Crosse when I was there. cool to see the Steel Battalion X-link setup. I know Retropalooza is coming up. I have plans on going. cool you found some stuff to fill in the collection. Have a great week!
That’s cool man! I have never been to Wisconsin so this was a rare treat. It was super cool of those guys to offer me a brew and to take some time to chat and show off all there cool setups. Amazing to see that many Steel Battalion units in one spot. 🤯 This was a fun con. Maybe one day I can get down to Retropalooza and hang out. 🍻🤙🏻
You got that right! I wish I had more time to game. So many cool stories I am looking forward to experiencing. And to be honest you could have spent days in this free play arcade area and not gotten bored. This was a cool little con for sure. Lots of fun! 🤙🏻
Looked like a great time, tons of gaming variety. Cute knit plushies! Ha ha, nice on the cart swap. I see an unholy Zelda game.😂 Oooh, marquees! Magician looks fun. So does that free-to-play setup! 😮😮 Hey, New Glarus! Cap hooks us up with some of those each MoGameCon. 😊 For the ridiculousness of it, I want a huge Steel Battalion controller. 😂
This was a great time! I needed more than one day though to really take in the free play area and a few more panels. The vendor hall had something for everyone. About 50% game vendors and 50% everything else. 🤣 Even had a tattoo artist. 👌🏼 Guys Games and Beer were fun to talk with and have a cold one. The Steel Battalion set up though is an honest to god spectacle!
@@DrinkGameswithJosh We've been seeing more and more tattoo booths setting up at events; any plans to get a sleeve done built off of small bits from every event you hit up now?
Seems like an awesome expo! Love the arcade area! Got yourself more games to add to your collection as well! I've been seeing a lot of gameplay of the snes and genesis versions of Dracula and it doesn't look too bad. There's so many fun racing games on the n64. Have a great week brother!
Thanks dude! 🤙🏻 It was a great expo! I had a fun time and next year will have to plan on spending more than just one day. The arcade/free play area was amazing! 🤩 If I can get it finished by this weekend I am gonna try and do Dracula on CRT Saturday. 😉 The N64 was the goat of multiplayer so it only makes sense to have so many racing games. 🍻
Dude! That Steel Battalion set up was insane. 🤯 Those guys were fun to chat with and have a brew too. The entire con was a great time. Next year I need to do more than just a day trip though. 🍻🤙🏻
This was my third video game con over the past couple years. So far all of them have been awesome! You should definitely check one out if you are able too. You would have fun for sure! Really cool selection of games to purchase and play. Lots of great people to hang with too. 🍻🤙🏻
Pittsburgh was a ton of fun! That was my first time there and it was really cool. Especially the free play area… absolutely insane. 🤯 I like the first FEAR game a lot when I played through it last year and had to grab the other two. Stoked to continue the story. 🤙🏻
It was a fun little con for sure. Good selection of things in the marketplace and the free play area was amazing! Very cool getting to chat and hang out with some of the community too. 🤙🏻
It was a really cool little convention. The vendor area was not as big as SouthEast Game Exchange and had a lot of non video game vendors selling but there was still plenty of games to choose from and some very cool people I got to talk with. The free play area though was absolutely amazing. 🤩 Really fun time! 🤙🏻
Looks like you had a blast not bad for a smaller convention - nice picks ups esp the Fear games - Dracula i don't like on the NES but i do love the Genesis version - Great pick ups brother
I knew my fellow PS3 fan would appreciate the FEAR pickups. 👌🏼 It was a solid convention for sure. Plenty to choose from when shopping and the free play area was absolutely amazing! 🤩 I happen to have both of those versions of Dracula and am gonna try and see if I can get a video out on them this weekend if all goes well! Appreciate you brother. 🤙🏻
It was a really fun day for sure. A bit packed since I had to drive 4 hrs both ways in the same day but worth the trip. Lots of good bits in the marketplace and the free play arcade area was outstanding! I don’t have a ton of inexpensive games left to get for my NES set but there are still a few like Addams Family that I just haven’t bit on yet. Cheers dude! 🍻🤙🏻

Sometimes you just gotta get out of your comfort zone though…even if it means going to England. 😂 This one was about 4 hours north of me so it was a little hike to get to but we had a good time for sure! 🍻
why makes you feel you need to get all 677 nes games? is it cause you see other youtubers doing it? I mean not trying to tell you what to do or crap on you but think about why are you are doing it and if it really needs to be done. Theres a discussion between some youtubers now that have the guts to talk about it and half self control when buying retro stuff...are we buying it cause we really need it or cause its a addiction, or cause trying to compete with other youtubers and copy what they are doing? I know theres several larger youtubers that are doing NES full sets and its sorta weird that everyone else is now doing it as well. Also they make big $ off doing it and they often resell their "full set" after doing it cause they are doing it just for youtube content...its benefits them financially to do these types of videos, and also benefits them when common youtubers try to copy what they are doing and need to buy the "same things" they are buying, which helps pump the market.
When I saw this comment pop up I immediately knew you came over from Zak’s video. Not sure the angle you are trying to come from here but I am gonna take it as a sincere question and not as a troll question. So here goes… I have been collecting for the NES and N64 since 2009. Fifteen years ago when I started collecting it was shear nostalgia for these two systems that caused me to pick the consoles up again at that point, and I decided to pick up a bunch of the games for the two systems that I enjoyed back in the days when I had them as a kid and a young adult. As I picked up those games I also had other people give me games for the systems when they knew I was playing them again. Some games I had played before and others I hadn’t. It got me more interested in seeing what the libraries had to offer that I had never heard of. Even though I didn’t think about full set collecting at that point that started my journey in that direction. Before I knew it I had amassed a large number of games for both systems. Even some games that by todays measure are pricey. A couple games that I have that are worth hundreds, I only paid $5-10 for back then. So my journey started “before” there was a Retro Rick or Pixel Game Squad (or Retro Liberty) channel. Those guys have no influence on what I choose to spend my money on anymore than you or Iowa Retro Gamer Dad do. As far as copying someone else’s content…there isn’t anyone on this platform that isn’t copying something that hasn’t been done before. Does it really need to be done…No it doesn’t. But whether you go spend your money on Action Figures and Hot Wheels or Hookers and Blow it wouldn’t make any difference to me either. That’s your money and this is my money so i can spend it on what I want to spend it on. My finances are fine. I don’t overspend and affect my household or lifestyle. I spend within my own means. I am a non monetized community channel. I don’t pander for people to join a channel membership or support me on Patreon. I don’t sell on What Not or hawk any products for any corporate sponsors. I don’t have any of that stuff and don’t intend too either. I flip things on occasion just like millions of other folks do for a quick dollar but am not a full time (or even part time) reseller. I do this because I enjoy the hobby and like to share my gaming and collecting experiences with others.
