I have said many times, so many lost people to addiction need to hear this man's stories and Educated Experts who work in those industries, need to use Chuck's stories to give HOPE to others who never get out of that trap...
Chuck and Ami are the greatest people. Chuck has been my favorite singer, with the most beautiful voice, since the days of my youth in the 70’s throughout the most wonderful times of my life, my teenage years. I feel blessed to have connected with the very talented and kind, Chuck and his very sweet and talented wife Ami. Sharing wonderful stories, their talent & creativity, their kindness and their time.🤗They are such a nice couple and really are very good people. What a fun interview this was! Thank you.🥰❤️
I am a number one fan of 3 dog night and thank you so much for years of music that I still love!! Had such a crush on you in the 70's and your still handsome as always ♥️ seen you in concert many times❤️
Three Dog Night is my all time favorite American Band period! I would put up Chuck Negron's singing voice then to any other Rock n Roller from back in the day including up against Robert Plant any old day. Great fun memories for us Baby Boomers, their Music lives on for us all who still listen to the Oldies 60's - 70's tunes which I still do. My wife accuses me of living in the past, which I tell her, thank you! And RIP Cory....
My brother gave me this album when I was about 10 years old and I played it on his Sound Design record player. I learned how to sing harmony parts by listening and singing along. I have bought that album 2 or three times over the course of my 60 years. Thanks for the singing lessons Chuck!!!
Chuck's book should be required reading for ANY young person. His recovery was truly amazing but many people could benefit from his candid story of self destruction that could happen to anyone with potential addiction traits.
53 year old musician and studio owner and I'm ashamed to say until last night, I'd never even heard of 3DN. What an outstanding band and considering what Chuck has been through, he looks amazing, the youngest looking 81 year old I've ever seen.
Love hearing Chuck speak on the history of 1970-80s and he knew everyone during those time's because he had the voice especially from my childhood memories God bless Chuck and his beautiful wife Amy both are very special people.😊❤🎉
A true pop star and excellent singer. Not given his due. I got his book and was amazed by his story. He went through the wringer and it is a great accomplishment to have cleaned up and gone back to singing.
So...Mr. Chuck and I are same height and weight (...at least, the last time I weighed in about two weeks ago) yet, I'm 73 plus. Like so many other "old time 60's and '70's rock/pop fans" ... Yes, Three Dog Night is one of my all-time favorites of that era. And, as I have said in other comments sections dealing in rock song history favorites: "Family of Man" is my favorite of the group. Also, I probably (?) heard the group play that at their live concert at the Indiana State Fair Grounds, Coliseum building in November of 1971. Anyway...I had a beautiful 20 year old date that evening. She enjoyed the concert too! Good interview of "a legend" who has helped many over the past few decades of rehab. May he live to 100!
They touched on the subject of how Chuck met Danny and Corey, but the truth is to good to ignore, and I'm shocked Chuck left it out. Danny and Chuck had been friends for a long time before Chuck met Corey. Danny just didn't think the two would get along, and nobody had come up with the idea of using three great singers just yet. Danny knew Chuck had a great voice, so when Danny heard they were finally looking for a third singer, he invited Chuck to the party Chuck talks about on hear. The problem was, Chuck had no idea he was supposed to audition for Corey! So Corey kind of giggled, threw on some 50's do work music, ( cause Danny said Chuck loves it) and Chuck finally sang in front of Corey! Corey was sold! How do I know? I worked for Corey Wells for 15 years in Vegas. Corey thought it was one of the greatest memories he had of starting the band. Oh, and their name didn't come from the producer. It came from a book, but it was a book that the producer's girlfriend read, and she said if they don't make it in the business, they can be the three dogs! The producer loved it! Now you know.
When I was in high school I missed the Three Dog Night concert at our school. I feel sadness over that, but I'm glad to live in an age like this where people interview rock stars and you can find out what they are interested in. And thank them for all the good music. PS. Making him sing when he needed hospitalization is criminal. I hope somebody got arrested for that.

@@brandimedeina3128 It's made to sound like a children's song, with little kids singing along at the end. It just reminds me of a Barney episode or something like that. "Out In the country", "One", "One Man Band", Liar" - those great songs, and "BLACK & WHITE" becomes a major hit 😱😱😱😱😱

Wow so glad Chuck survived hell and made it to the other side to enjoy the rest of his life with his family . God Bless.
Really enjoyed this interview. Read Chuck's riveting book during the pandemic. I appreciate his honesty.
Coming Down Your Way is one of my all time favorite albums.I have been listening to it since 75.
What a nice interview!
Amazing how handsome Chuck is at 81 years old in this video.
Great interview. Chuck is the best. He has the greatest rock and roll, and life stories. You need to do a follow up. Chuck has hours of stories.
Agree
I liked the Live at the Forum, 1969 record. 🎵

Out in the Country and Elis Coming! Actually, l love all their music. Joy to the World made Jehramia famous!

Chuck Negron had one of the most incredible voices among early rock bands. Three Dog Night is wonderful!

What a crush I had on Chuck in early 70's.
Holy Smokes! CHUCK LOOKS GREAT! 💥
He looks 30 years younger than he is. Remarkable!
Amazing energy for someone that age with his health challenges. With a sweet beautiful young wife.
I saw Chuck perform with the Happy Together Tour band at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. He was in awesome voice.
Cannot fail to mention Marks point that Chuck "interpreted" other's songs into a morph of Three Dog Night (great point) - cold tonight.
O BRASIL, te ama Chuck, Gold bless you!...
great segment! thanks Chuck and Amy👍

Chuck's Great and his wife Amy does cool Craft's and Fun Crazy Dolls in her utube and other online stores. There Both Wonderful !!!
I got to sell merch for Chuck back in the 90's. Went to several shows and enjoyed hanging with band
I misread that saw it as 'meth' at first...lol
Glad I double-checked!

Negron Generations is great album.
why can't he do a reunion with Danny? We lost Cory unfortunately
Lost Planet Airmen "They arrested me and threw me in jail, I called my pappy to throw my bail" (Hot Rod Lincoln). You can't make this stuff up.
How many times the interviewer say chuck negron we know who he is
Love love love CN. Trying to buy the book and want to buy it directly from CN, is his website still valid?
Do you still sing?
I can't believe the prices people are asking for his book..I can do life without reading it.
Luckily it's at my local library.😊

Chuck is 81 and he don't look it or act like it.
then chuckster got knocked down with a jesus delirium…
smoked his lungs raw
A song of theirs which always makes me cringe is "Black and White"
Maybe because Chuck wasn’t singing it.
Why cringe?
