In this video I will show you how to mirror all apps to an MirrorLink enabled car infotainment system.
I previously tried this with an Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8, but of Android 7.0 limitations this is not possible in combination with an MirrorLink 1.1 head unit.

Hi. Thanks for your great video.. I got excited as I have a Galaxy A3 2016 (SM-A310F) laying around, but unfortunatelly it's on Android 7.0. I've been trying for 2 days to downgrade it to 6.0.1, but without success. Mine it's on binary 5, and I believe that's the reason I can't downgrade. Android 6.0.1 is only available with Binary 2 or 3. Did you have the same issue? How did you solve it?

Good news!!! I tried with 6.0.1 (Samsung Galaxy S5) and works perfect... But there are some difficulties with the floating apk... Sometimes doesn't appears the "buble" in the sreen to go back to menu... And some other times I have to re-install LG apk to work.

It's almost working with my Samsung S5 6.0.1 : i can open Waze, Google Maps etc and it's showing in my car media (VW Polo) but as soon as i start moving with the car the screen stop being shown and there's a error message: "the app can't be display when driving". Would you know how to solve it? Thanks again

The app from the head unit, which one you mean? I use the built in MirrorLink solution in the headunit. If you can't disable carmodestup, try to find a ROM for your device that doesn't have it or get root access and delete it

Hey, i have note4 android 6.0.1 and tried your versions of Samsung mirrorlink and LG mirror drive in seat ibiza.
It is mirroring the phone but the screen flickering with black screen about 10 seconds and only then stabilizing. Each time i click home button it starts flickering again. Any suggestions?

Ive just bought a Samsung a3 to use it exclusively connected to my car infotainment but I got surprised when I noticed I had no mirror link available. I have stock rom android 5.0.
Do you believe if I flash 6.0 it would come up? Thank you

Hi, I am not in the business anymore. But at sammmobile you can download all the roms. Android 6 would be your starting point to success!

I could only flash it using a Cyanogenmod unoficial Android 6.0 and it did´t enable mirrorlink :(

Rifrider waarschijnlijk zit dan je RAM geheugen vol, dat kun je met de Smart Manager eens checken hoe dat er voor staat. Ik heb na 45 a 60 minuten disconnects die ik nog aan het onderzoeken ben, in mijn geval; mogelijk word het toestel te warm waardoor de verbinding verbroken word

Haven't tested with that setup. However, when you stick to the app versions outlined in the video you have a good chance it will work.

XTRfan It should yes, it's comparable to my MIB2 Easy Connect system. Just try and figure out I would say :)
... it is me again, lol. I too got my hands on a Galaxy A3 (2016) and followed your instructions. Everything works fine until i unplug the phone for the first time. The headunit is not detecting or connecting my A3 again after that. Did you ever encounter this problem too or maybe even found a solution? After a complete factory reset of my phone it gets detected again.

I made it work on my Peugeot 2008 as well. I can load google maps, android auto, and any other app. The only thing I can't seem to make it work is too capture with the car's microphone. It works perfectly for phone calls, but any other microphone thing won't work, such as search an address on Google Maps by voice or use the commands for Android Auto. Does yours works normally?

Mac D I am going to try different phone today. S6 and S5 with different OSs . One thing I noticed under the Bluetooth gear for my car, the Audio for Media is disabled by default and someone told me it should be enabled. I also attempted with a BT headset and it worked all voice controls. So it could be the car just won’t allow it but I doubt it. Still trying to figure it out.
So I tested with all apps. What I could find out was, it doesn't work for the apps we want like Google Maps, Waze, etc. I did make it work with Car Mode. Car Mode has a MIC and once I press it, it enables the car's MIC and listen to what I want to say. But it is not close as good as google's assistant. So unfortunately I believe it won't work like we expect it. Hope it helps.

Please check what kind of MirrorLink version it's using, haven't tested the S7
Well I have a Galaxy A3 ... I'm not able to downgrade the firmware of my phone... The downgrading from 7 to 6.0.1 seems impossible by the time... Any other idea to have mirrorlink ability??? I'm Seat ibiza Style with MIB2 unit owner... Please help!!!!
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. You can start of by rooting the phone and then use ODIN to flash Android 6.0.1

with downgrade (no root) is working perfect seat leon
I am struggling with downgrading from Android 7 to 6.0.1. Flashing with a stock firmware is not possible. Have you done it with a custom rom?

Do you enable the Mirrorlink slider everytime or you have it automated?
It enables automatically (stock functionality, no need to automate)
Make sure your phone connects as MTP by default, to do so see developer options menu in your phone
