    Tried this for breakfast today. Not bad for my first try. Having friends over next week and will do this again. Thanks for the video. My wife asked, "How are you going to do biscuits and gravy on the Blackstone?" I surprised her. Ron

    Going to try biscuts on the griddle. Quick question I understand how you initially put the flour in without lumps as you added it to the oil and meat BEFORE you added the milk What I don't understand is how you later added flour to the gravy (Milk already added) without getting lumps. Please educate me as I make gravy on a regular basis and didn't know this was possible. I have enjoyed your videos and think you are one of the better cooks doing these.

      Thank you! Hmmm I’m not sure lol. This is how I’ve always done it and never got lumps. Maybe because I add it in small amounts?

    I'm digging this one, I'd have to add a little hotsauce on top but I bet those pepper flakes do a nice job! Thanks for sharing.

    • @GriddleGrub
      @GriddleGrub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the red pepper flakes are awesome in this one. I’ve never done the hot sauce and Lewisburg that would probably be just as good!

    Biscuits & Gravy may be the perfect comfort dish. Love it, and yours look amazing. Well done! I have not done biscuits on the Blackstone yet. I usually bake them on the weber if cooking outside. A must try for sure! Thanks for sharing.

    What was the cover you used for the biscuits?

    • @GriddleGrub
      @GriddleGrub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a extra large blackstone griddle basting cover. I think they run about $40 at Walmart

    There's nothing like watching a armature cooking just because you bought a Blackstone.

    Just got my 28" in. I bet this will be one of my first cooks with it. By the way, cast iron (just like your griddle top) does not care if you use metal utensils. Your non-cast iron and especially your pans/skillets with a non-stick surface should not have metal utensils used on them.

    • @GriddleGrub
      @GriddleGrub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I don’t even keep those cheap pans in my house. All cast iron and stainless steel for boiling.

    • @quill1260

      @@GriddleGrub Nice. Those others just can't compare to cast iron. They can be passed down for generations too.

    Heavy metal in the background…This ain’t your grandmas biscuits and gravy.!!!😂🤣 Looks good brother never tried biscuits on the griddle🤔 would they cook better on low heat?

    • @GriddleGrub
      @GriddleGrub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah, you can definitely cook them on low. Just keep an eye on them and flip

  • @williamking7775
    @williamking7775 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why didn't you just use the griddle to cook the meat?

    • @GriddleGrub
      @GriddleGrub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was trying to get as much of the grease as possible for the gravy. My opinion is the gravy tastes way better when you are able to use mostly the grease from the meat and not as much butter.
