“Pandit Ashim Chowdhury’s sitar play in the Raag ‘Miyan ki Malhar (a Monsoon Masterpiece ) is quite beautiful to hear. All enjoyed the beauty and grandeur of his Sitar performance. Words fail me to put the proper words of praise on him and the twin-tabla player’s performance. May the Lord bless them both for such a nice performance. - “M.K.Subramanian.”, Juliet Ct: cul de saq, Chapel Hill, USA.
“”An advantage in playing with the wonderful string instrument is the player shall be able to go to high pitch or tone more than in vocal music. Enjoy the nice rendering of the ‘Sitar’ played sincerely by “Pandit Sri Ashim Cowdhury and it is great joy to hear. Also it’s divine. “ - “M.K.Subramanian.”, 100, Juliet Ct: cul de saq, Chapel Hill, N.C., USA.

“I feel that I am riding on a high-speed galloping horse holding the reins in my both hands; the strings in Tamil are called ‘KadivaaLam’, you know. M.K.Subramanian.”
“The name of the Raag ‘Miyan ki Malhaar’ looks like a sweet; and also it tastes likely as the sweet served in ‘Arya Bhavan’ Hotel in the ‘Mint Street, Thambu Chetty Road, George Town, 😅Chennai, you know. I tasted them a number of times when I lived in those good old days in the nearby ‘EkaambarEswarar Koil Agraharam in the famous ‘Mint Street. Also it was indeed a great pleasure to hear at ‘Gokale Hall’ the Hindustani Music like those of ‘Hirabai BarudEkar’, Mr. BadE GulammAli Khan and similar Hindustani singers in the Armenian Street. I still remember well those good old days. Antha naaL ini varumaa? Varaathu thaan!!! - “M.K.Subramanian.”
