    Pretty nice, looks like a lot of work too! :D Sure wish the guy with the camera had the forethought to frame right and get the 4th performer instead of the open doorway on the left!

    My mom continuously tried to master this song on the piano during my early childhood. To her credit, she was able to avoid swearing after missing notes.

    This video butters my muffin. The visuals alone are pure gold, but when paired with the music, create an immensely entertaining masterpiece.

    I'm buggared if I can think of a happier more playful little tune than this - Oh it ain't so little or simple as I'm discover as I learn to play it on guitar. Imagine my surprise to discover none other than Les Paul tackled it (masterfully) but Amy and her xylophonics currently get my thumbs up. Great work Amy. Marked as favorite now.

      Seriously??? Les Paul transcribed it for the guitar? Thank you so much!

      * Having said that, I realize I still had the TH-cam gear wheel twiddled to 1.5 speed on first listening, so will say it sounds perfect when set there.

    Such concentration it must take to do that. Every time someone walked down the hall past you I was worried they would disrupt you. Amazing playing.

    • @jellyrollmorton2051
      @jellyrollmorton2051 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is aggravating when people let their uncontrollable lust affect their opinion of a player, rather than the musicianship, which in this case is amazing, "pretty girl" or not.

    • @G6JPG
      @G6JPG 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jellyrollmorton2051 I don't think "uncontrollable lust" reared its head; it's sad if someone can't compliment a performer's appearance - it doesn't mean they think any less of the performance (which I agree is amazing).

    Amy - who? Great sound, great rythm, Arndt himself played it too fast. Although Scott Joplin himself said: "Never play ragtime too fast".

    • @jellyrollmorton2051
      @jellyrollmorton2051 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh God. Ragtime has always been played fast, regardless of what Joplin said. I think he meant not RIDICULOUSLY fast, not at the lullaby tempo some people like these days.

    • @jellyrollmorton2051
      @jellyrollmorton2051 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      how can someone play their own piece too fast? Also, this is novelty, not ragtime.

    • @andrewbarrett1537
      @andrewbarrett1537 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Each piece suggests its own range of tempos, regardless of genre
      2. This is a novelette, not a rag
      3. I’m glad you’ve heard the composer’s recording, although I disagree with you in that I think his tempo is perfect.
