So much for the bad CYL unit getting the best refine... Damn they gave the best unit the best refine like wtf. It was not necessary and honestly Tiki is still on a struggle
I was so excited for her that I gave her my only copy of laguz friend... It's not good, she dies to everything, she doesn't kill anything either. Ok I get it, it's just +1 but still

@@tristo8977Like almost all the infantry Tikis except vanilla Adult, I think a Special Spiral 4 build with Ike Engage and Glacies + Dragon's Wrath 3 seal might be the best for her. AoE could be good as well, and being able to run a 4CD special unlike the Youngs who need Marth Engage to do so is a huge plus. I'm more concerned regarding her survivability since she does not have % DR in her weapon, and flat DR doesn't really work very well without it, and she is also countered by the usual NFU
Tiki didn't even get a change to her base weapon. She just got DC and DR/Stats based off her res. That's it

It's been obvious since since forever. 7 years ago Adult Tiki got a summer alt. But Young Tiki kept getting a bunch of alts leaving Adult Tiki in the dust. And when Brave Tiki got in she was dressed as Young Tiki only to get powercrept by her younger self then a few months later Bridal Tiki came out just so that she can be paired with Young Tiki. They keep putting Adult Tiki in the shadow of Young Tiki its horrible. Watch them give Halloween Tiki a better refine than this. It's like watching a child star all grown up and people only cared about them when they were smaller

@@FEHudanshi However, he didn't got any kind of DR unfortunately (he still lacks true DR) unlike the rest of the CYL units who already got it in their respective refines. He just got an "offensive" refine (which is curiously enough, the opposite of B!Seliph😅)

@@FEHudanshi Well, almost everyone as of lately has some kind of way to deal with % dmg reduction, so to survive against difficult matchups he "needs" a reliable source of true DR [for instance, I've tried earlier to face my basic E!Ike against my +1 B!Chrom (with +ATK) and Chrom surprisingly had troubles dealing with it and depending on the chosen special he even got killed by Ike 😅 (and it had 6 effects/bonuses active!)]

On brave Byleth, she has Time’s Pulse 4 not 3, as it states on the weapon card “and also, if Special triggers before or during combat, grants Special cooldown -1 after combat.” Never ending Divine Pulse, goodness she’s going to be tanky.

I don't feel like +11 speed is nearly enough for Seliph to double the fast units in the current meta. It's basically only 2 more than Byleth got in her refine, at best. Tbh I expected way more of all the CYL refines this time around...
they turned seliph into a wargroove knight where they crit on their final movements space. im really disappointed with chrom and tiki i wanted more.
all i wanted for chrom was for him to have tempo and or +1 mov when he uses movement skills. cool if he can pass it to an ally too.
tiki i was hoping for tempo, and more powerful scowl. maybe scowling on every attack for both characters or a +-2 scowl? or maybe nullify accelerated special trigger??? they coulda done something better.
edit: also why is no one talking about how nothing drops refine stones anymore. im getting like less than 10 a month and i have not even been using them.

Don’t stack? What you mean, it works the exact same. Have you ever tried two solo skills? They work just fine. So does double fury. So does anything double. Only things that don’t stack are things that grant certain effects, like guard. You can’t double stack guard (I think).
I don't know what Seliph fan snuck into IS HQ, but I thank them. It's nice to have one of your favorite characters not get f'd over.

I also appreciate your taste in cyl units. Seliph is my fave of the 6 year line up too. He's my first ever 5* exclusive +10 unit (and only one so far)
As much as I wish they'd powered up Tiki's special ramping, her Res checks are uncapped, and mine sits at 61 (max invest + boon + Fortifications). Unconditional DC means she can run the Dragon's Wrath seal as well.
The fact that her DR pierce is only 50% makes the choice of Reopening or Laguz Friend a bit of a toss-up. Without a 2nd-attack Scowl, she really appreciates Guard, and LG4 is flat-out incompatible with a slaying Dragon's Roar if you already fed her an Alear. On the other hand, flat DR on 20% Res beats the heck out of 10% Def, and a piercing Glacies or Aether is nothing to sneeze at.
Tikis in weapon DC is so awkward. Like you have to run dragon DC for arena so I wish they instead gave something more valuable. It's also not like there are any seals so broken it makes a huge difference to give them up for dc
It's the curse of DC refines but in reverse. She got DC so everything else needs to be bad

Double Excel Seliph literally has 24 flat DR at optimal use. The CRAZIEST part about this entire list is the 7 HP Seliph gets post combat, meaning he doesn’t have to run skills like Mystic Boost 4/Flow Refresh 4 and since every player has guaranteed access to Attuned Peony and Rattotoskr, he should easily activate his miracle.
I am actually really glad they gave Eitri a passive debuff, but adding excel on top of her already innately having dmg reflection not only takes her off the bench, but makes her more than viable for current arena, damn...
they need to remix their personal skills too

The fact that a F2P grail unit has a better refine than most of the premium units is insane
Def based damage and true DR, and then BoL4.5 on top of that is really nice when he can run Laguz Friend on top of that. Bonfires are gonna hit like a truck full of the fattest Americans.

I don’t necessarily play feh anymore but I will be logging in just to flex the +10 brave Seliph with the cracked refine
I use Seliph and Chrom pretty often, so these refines definitely push them into a position where they're even more annoying to fight. So yeah, those 2 are definitely back (not that Chrom left the meta, ever).
My +10, excel, potent B!Seliph is eating good 😌
I literally CALLED IT. I knew Brave Tiki's refine was gonna be MID. Now we just wait for Halloween Tiki and Ascended Tiki to get better refines because IS loves the baby Tiki way too much for some reason and not the hot super model adult Tiki

Gotta be honest, not sure why anyone thought Tiki would be given a great refine when we all know IS hates her. Heck, I was honestly expecting something as deliberately horrible as they could possibly make it, like "if unit initiates combat, grants spd +2"
They gave the best brave one the best refine 😅. I feel like they are holding back with the brave refines since the 3 Houses ones, because those are so good people just kept using them instead of summoning for new heroes
Brave seliph is the only unit I +10'd upon debut. I didnt regret it then and i definitely dont regret it now

Tiki having DC is exactly what I wanted, it is mandatory for a unit focused on Res and the dragon adaptive dmg, sure she still needed more help than that, but there are a lot of other dragons I'd rather use my DC seal on, like the fist F.Alears
Keaton is almost a brave dimitri with his refine, and BoL4 for himself? Not bad, honestly
The BoL4 effect is different because unlike BoL4, Keaton is within 3 spaces not 2

I will probably refine most of the batch in time. I just wish B. Chrom could have Canto in his refine, so that he can stack up assisting even more or be more offensive with other B slot skills.
Now I see that the new Felicia was made with Tiki's refine in mind, huh. They will make an interesting pair, covering some of B!Tiki's weaknesses. Overall I like this CYL refine batch pretty much👌🏻
Sucks to see B!Tiki and B!Byleth get pretty mediocre refines. For Tiki, the flat DR and stats were very predictable, but that alone just isn't enough to save her. Her tanking ability is basically gone because of NFU and her player phasing is pretty bad compared to what we have now. Scowl on every hit was really the only way to save her, but nope. At this point just use a dragon with Dragon's Stone+ and Laguz Friend, it's basically just Tiki but better lol
As for Byleth the refine is just not enough, her speed is still way too low to use Spd Preempt and she doesn't have Null C in her refine either. Even at max investment you're only getting like +5 speed from the 10% too. Really the only thing interesting is the precharged Divine Pulse on the first hit, but it's not exactly going to be amazing (especially with hush spectrum on a free CYL unit lol)
Tiki really needed the Diamant/Frozen effect in her weapon, so that she can actually deny follow ups. She can scowl til the cows come home, but she's can't live for shit on the follow up attack where they've likely gotten their special charged to hit her with.

Edit: Seliph needed the least help? Is Chrom not just competitively the most viable of all of their batch for the longest time? Always felt Chrom possibly needed the least of a refine for how timeless he has seemed.

Another day, another character I love that I have at +10 getting a mediocre or bad refine.
Seriously. Not. *ONCE.* Have any of my characters been given a good refine.
Hilda, nope. Brave Byleth and Summer Byleth, nope. Sothis, HELL no. Maribelle, nope. Felicia (both versions), nope.
It is infuriating beyond belief. Guess I just gotta hope that Celine, Panette, or Veyle can one day break the streak, if any of them actually even get refines.

Bad might not be the right word, more like underpowered. The new units that release are just doing too many things. It feels like a unit needs to be doing at least 8+ effects to keep up.
I'm sad B!Tiki didn't get what she needed, but at least isn't as bad as Sothis's refine, god they gave too much love to B!Seliph. @Tacho when do you think Yuri will have his refine? This year or nex?
If Baby Tiki won CYL6, she'd still be meta even without a refine.
I’m not mad at the Tiki refine since having access to DC innately is never bad and the free dr piercing is nice. She effectively gets +15 to all stats if she has a Res Boon (which she will), I just wish she also got true damage on her res.
Tf you mean "wishing" TDR on her Res. She got that in her refine too 😅

I'm very happy that they treated seliph & eitri really well there the only ones I have from this batch 😳.
Considering Seliph's the only character I like on there, I am more than happy with this refine batch lol, although I wish Tiki actually got something better considering how little adult tiki gets in general every rare time she gets a new version. Byleth/Chrom who cares they constantly get really annoying new alts that are quite tough to deal with but Adult Tiki...yikes.
I guess I might invest in legendary Byleth. man, the only two I’m investing in out of this batch is Seleph and etri… damn definitely not what I expected. But it’s better than nothing.

Brave Byleth has everything BUT the thing she needed the most which was special jump. they double downed on her being special reliant and in a meta where hush spectrum and scowl is almost everywhere, to me at least, this ain't that it.
Yeah. There's a lot of support that gives it though, but having it built in would have been ideal for her.
At least she can get NCD now though, so that's a start lol

Still seems wild he’s effectively getting BoL4 but with a bigger range, even if it is to just himself. If his res wasn’t so bad he’d probably be stupid good imo. But as it stands he’s probably just an amazing melee tank

This was a disappointingly tame batch. Especially after Gatrie and Seteth.
The CYL refines are pretty boring ngl. They mostly have similar effects to improve combat, which is fine. I wish they had more gimmick effects but whatever.

I think people are really sleeping on Tiki, especially now that NCD echo is accessible from support and echo skill.

i think brave tiki currently is the second worst cyl. byleth doesnt really have a strong niche. tiki get a lot of TDR through laguz, bol4 and ncd X slot. modern day dimitri
