Definitely crate train!! It’s such an important thing for dogs to learn and you’ll be so happy in the future when for whatever reason you need to crate them for a bit
Puppies are a lot of work but you will be a great owner. You can do it. I totally know what you mean about making that big decision, it’s scary! But if you’ve been thinking about it for awhile now and feel ready, go for it. Also working from home will make the puppy stage soooo much easier
brynne if you get a puppy i would research crate training! once the puppy gets used to the crate it can be really useful when you’re out of the house and can’t bring the puppy with you. i crate trained my cavapoo and it’s been so helpful!
I live alone, boxer-doberman. It's nice to have a reason to go for walks in the sun and get out of the house (full-time TH-camr as well lol). Adopted her as a puppy. The puppy training phase is tough living in an apartment with all the frequent bathroom breaks, but it passes after a few months. Definitely worth it though! You should crate train for sure and do a puppy training course. When it's meant to be, the puppy will just naturally come into your life! 💕
I think it’s great that you are weighing the pros and cons and you gotta do what’s right for you, but I love my dogs And I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I am the exact same way when it comes to making decisions and it drives me nuts that I cannot make a decision on even the littlest things and I’ve been that way my whole life as well. So I completely understand where you’re coming from, but I think you should go for it!
Hi Brynne! Yes to the dog! … I think it’s responsible of you to consider all the responsibilities that come with a dog but they’re so amazing 🥹🐶 n there are so many homeless dogs that need a loving home 🐶💜🐶
I got my puppy during Covid and it was the best decision I ever made. If you get a pen, get a camping tarp for underneath while you’re potty training. It totally saved our carpets!
Dogs are both harder and easier than you expect them to be. As a puppy (if you get them as a puppy), they are incredibly challenging. Training them takes a lot of time and patience. But as they get older they are very easy and fun. The only thing that a lot of people forget is the “gone for a weekend” times. Or the “spontaneously staying overnight out of town” times. It’s hard to be gone for more than 8-12 hours.
Can you do a story time video where you explain how you got suspended from the rowing team during Covid and when you came back you absolutely killed it?
I'm 30 and got my dog 4.5 years ago! (also live alone). I absolutely love having him but it is a lot of work, however, i wouldn't change that one bit. I do live close to family who are always super down to watch him :) But overall the day to day isn't bad at all after the first couple of months!!! highly recommend getting a dog!!
Brilliant video Brynne!! Really enjoyed everything about it :) If possible in the future, could you do a video revving up your car? So we can hear how it sounds! 😁
It’s just me and my kids and our dog and it was the best decision I ever made! also, if you ever plan to have little babies of your own one day, having a dog will LITERALLY prepare you for that especially if you get them when their a puppy! But I think having a dog is one of the best things, I have a wiener dog ( miniature dashund) lol and he’s helped me so much with staying in shape physically and mentally.. plus if you’re staying alone, it’s just the little bit of comfort and companionship that you will always have with you 🩷 I say go for it! There’s going to be a million reasons you give yourself on why not to get one or why it’s scary but honestly, it’s really not that bad! You’ll have a bestie for the rest of your life 😊
I like doggies well enough, but because I also live alone and am gone all day at work, I don't have any pets since I'm not home all day to watch/care for it. I also don't want to just lock it in the house while I'm gone all day like I hear some households doing with their dogs. That is: When I ride my bicycle around my town and neighboring towns during the day, I can often hear a dog or two inside certain houses barking, and there are no cars in the driveway of those houses at that time. Not my cup o' tea. Then, there is the responsibility to always be watching your pet and taking proper care of it. Have a heart-to-heart chat with the girl in the mirror and be honest about it.🙂 If all else fails, you can always flip a coin.😂
It sounds like you really want a dog. It's a big responsibility. A lot of time, money, inconvenience. It is parenting. And it is a commitment for possibly a couple decades. But you will learn a bunch of stuff, including about yourself, and make a connection with a being that needs you every day. It feels like your mind is made up and right now it is all about timing.
I didn’t know you golfed Brynne. Don’t know anything about skin care I don’t do any of that stuff. Life’s too short to think about it much IMO. As for the dog point, I’d ask - why do you want a dog? What need are you fulfilling? If you can answer that coherently, then the logistics are just speed bumps along the way, not barriers. Puppies are a big investment of time, money, and energy (how many things will you not be able to do because you need to stay with the dog?), so a little overthinking isn’t bad.
It sounds like you want someone to make the decision for you, I was like this for a long time and still struggle - but ultimately it sounds like your friend didnt tell you to get one like you thought and only you can answer your questions in the end (:
I’d get a dog from a rescue shelter. A puppy can be tough 🫤 It’s like a car lol Brand new car, you’re going to be the first one to find out the issues. Used car, you know what’s wrong with it, what happened, what it needs, was it properly taken care of, etc. Plus getting it more from a shelter is more “humane” imo. But overall, its your decision and I think you’d be a good dog mommy 🤷🏻♂️

I've been loving your vlogs so much. You've inspired me to try Ponds and ACOTAR and now I'm in love with both so thank you!!
Two of my favorite things tbh
I’m loving these types of videos from you!
Hi Brynne ! I have one dog 🐕 & two cats 🐈 & I ❤ them very much 😊 & I look forward to their happiness when I return home 🙂.
I got my puppy during Covid and it was the best decision I ever made. If you get a pen, get a camping tarp for underneath while you’re potty training. It totally saved our carpets!
For a puppy it’s months so ya an 8 week puppy you would want to take out every 2 hours.
And I also highly recommend crate training!
Love this! I hope you had a great day, Brynne! 😇❤️
The Red Rising series is my favorite book series I’ve ever read. I’m eagerly waiting for the next book to come out next year!

JUST ONE MORE THING, YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!
Yeah I can only really listen to music while working out. Glad your doing well.
Helloo Brynne, it's good to see you again friend! Today I've just been relaxing and enjoying life a bit, nothing too fancy!! Good to hear Brynne!!
Great vlog as always. You'll have to keep me updated on that dog thing and let me know how it goes. You were crackin me up. lol.
I’ve never had a dog or any pets before but it sounds like you really want one so I’d say go for it!! Hope everything goes well with the puppy
Beautiful as always 🤩 Brynne
I read on the treadmill too - it makes the time go by so fast
You be looking prettier everyday beez! 💙
My favourite book is Ring by Koji Suzuki, the book that The Ring movies were based off. If you like mystery thriller it's so good :)
❤❤❤❤❤

Hey Brynne, just subbed! 🤍 loving your channel so far 😊

I think you should adopt an older dog! They’re a great transition between having a life in your 20s and getting used to taking care of an animal!
