Kingdom of Norway (1814-) Royal Anthem "Kongesangen" (1906)

- Kongesangen (Song of the King) is Norway's Royal anthem. The lyrics come in several versions. The first version (Gud signe kongen vor) was written by Henrik Wergeland, but the version used today and quoted below was written by Gustav Jensen for the coronation of King Haakon VII in 1906. It was inspired by the British Royal and National anthem, and set to the same tune as "God Save the Queen".

After some thinking i have decided to stop making videos because of lack of enthusiasm and enjoyment to make videos. The second half and the following year i will be busy with my conscription in the King's Guard, and the time to make videos and other things will be very limited, so i find it best, to end things when i not "hate" what im doing. However i wish to thank my loyal subscribers who have followed my channel for the past 4 years and that i wish to thank all the great people in my community who have been loyal uintil the end. I don't know why the British are mad at Us Americans for stealing their National Anthem as "My Country 'Tis of Thee" when this anthem is the exact ROYAL copy of "God Save The Queen".

This is Benjamin Britten's arrangement of "God Save the Queen", only the lyrics have been replaced with those of the "Song of the King".
Nobody knows who composed the music but it is also the tune of the national anthem of Liechtenstein andd was aso the tune of the former national anthems of the German Empire and Switzerland ad the imperial anthem of Russia.
