I live in Juneau AK, don't know if Alaska has any influence on the casualness, but we are a very casual state! I work in an office and people regularly wear sweatshirts and jeans. I used to work in the court system and even the lawyers wear rubber boots. Tip about sun burn, the worst sunburn I have ever had was on a boat tour here in Juneau on a partly sunny day. Even if it's cold or partly cloudy you can still get a burn when out on the water, the water, the snow, ice and glacier silt are all very reflective you are getting more sun then you think!
