    Great tutorial, thank you! Ordered several of your pliers, nylon flat nose are also great for straightening out bent wire.

    Just ordered small new plier set. Already have crimper plier and memory wire cutter. But this is good to know ty. Will gradually add on to my set. ☺️ Will definitely get the wire wrapping one. Some of these I have never seen before. Nylon pliers I do want. 😁

      We thought it would be good to do a big overview of everything for just that reason, there's always more tools to learn about! We actually made this a few years ago for the launch of our redesigned website but not many people saw it back then so we thought we'd highlight it again here. Thanks for watching!

    Hello! I mainly use pliers to open and close jump rings only. But i have this issue where i often scratch the rings and left ugly marks 😢😢 well i do admit im not very good at using pliers but is there any recs to make it easier? Which do u think would be more suitable for this between chain nose pliers and flat nose pliers? Thank u!!

      We've got separate videos on just about all these pliers I think, you see our video on the bracelet bending pliers here: th-cam.com/video/bWoiYcQSBc4/w-d-xo.html

    What should be used to cut 316 Stainless Steel Eye Pins (0.6mm diameter) for jewelry making? The memory wire cutter? Thanks!

    What are good for cutting chains for like making necklaces and bracelets? Especially for thick chains

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends the thickness of the chain and the kind of metal. If you're thinking about working with decorative chains made mostly with softer plated metals I'd recommend these Xuron flush cutters, they get a lot of use in our design space, they're strong enough to cut braided stainless steel beading wire: beadaholique.com/collections/jewelry-making-tools/products/sharp-flush-cutter-pliers-for-cutting-beading-wire-1-piece
      Xuron also has some heavier models, these can cut up to 10 gauge copper wire beadaholique.com/collections/jewelry-making-tools/products/xuron-xbow-series-extra-large-cutter-pliers-flush-cut-for-heavy-to-finer-gauge-wire-model-es5161l
      If you're looking to cut thick chains like stainless steel curb chain then I'd recommend looking at the sort of industrial cutters you'll see in hardware stores. Most jewelry cutters can't handle thick steel.

    What are flat nose pliers use for

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They can have several uses, but mainly they are to create sharp bends in wire. For example, they can be used to create a right angle bend.
