You helped me a lot: Note: I wasn't able to get the Crucial SSD to work with this Mac Mini so I swapped it out for a Samsung EVO SSD using this same procedure.] I couldn't do it with a SSD Sandisk, I'm going to use another brand.
It's probably not worth it to put a large expensive SSD in a computer that old but it would give it a little bit of a new life to put a cheap SSD in it. Amazon has some for around $20 that are 120GB. I would also max out your RAM.
Hey darling. Do you know any tutorial that teaches you how to install MAC OS through USB connection. My MAC MINI A1176 2007. I was unable to do this after installing an SSD in place of the HD
The SATAII bus is going to limit the speed of the SSD but it is going to feel a lot faster than the traditional hard drive since the SSD is going to have a lot faster random reads and writes.
That’s a good video. I saw #2 so now I’ll go onto #3. I’m sure these will help someone with a mini.

Excellent video! I have one of these - a 2007 model. But it runs ooohh so slowly. What should I replace to make it go faster?

Hi, how are you, could you help me?
If I preinstall Windows XP on a SSD and then put the ssd inside the mac mini, will it work?
I'm not completely sure. You could try installing Windows XP on a USB flash drive to try it. If that works, I'm guessing the SSD would work.
