  • Here is how to turn right safely and effortlessly at no green arrow traffic lights at an intersection. If you can't do it 10 out of 10 times perfectly, it's best to postpone your driving test. The following are the most commonly asked questions about traffic signal rules in Australia. What must you do if you want to turn right at traffic signals where a green light is showing but there is no green arrow in Australia? Should you Proceed on the yellow (amber) light if that's the only option in busy traffic? What if the light changes to red, and you are still in the middle of the intersection? Should I give way to pedestrians when turning right at a no-green arrow intersection? Subscribe ‪@DrivingSchoolWA‬

    The way I was taught in Ontario is to treat the yellow as a red and STOP if it's safe to do so. Of course, if you're already in the intersection when the light turns yellow, then just keep going.
    Now, let see if we can do something about you driving on the wrong side of the road! 🙂

    I was told by my instructor that i cannot go in the middle, but he told me that i can only go a little bit past the white solid line on the traffic light

    Hi Steve, at 4:46, why didnt you line up next to the diamond? Thanks.
    Also, can you do a Butler test route?

      Hi Dylan, that's the optimal position in this situation. The further you are without cutting into the opposite traffic lanes, the better your viewing angle.

    I made a right turn on yellow but there’s was no sign of “ turn right on green arrow only “ so I have a ticket . Was I in the wrong or can I contest it ?

    Hey ive got a question. Which mirrors should you check when turning

    • @DrivingSchoolWA
      @DrivingSchoolWA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mirrors are always in your peripheral vision if positioned correctly. The rearview mirror (the middle one) is the one that we check in situations when your speed fluctuates. So the main rearview mirror in this situation.

      @@DrivingSchoolWA do i need to look at the side mirrors when turning for the test?

    Hi, I heard that we have to wait for give away until clear with opposite car coming, although we get the safe gap to cross the junction in green light without arrow. Is it right?

    Can you fail also if you wait in the middle when turning right and proceed on the orange light even when its not busy

    • @DrivingSchoolWA
      @DrivingSchoolWA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are behind the line on orange, don't proceed if there was a car in front, but if you are the first car, you have to clear when safe
