It's funny how seeing cell is refreshing. been playing since day 1, so i've seen every meta. The cell meta was probably the least stale feeling. It's funny because thinking back, every character had scummy things. Vegeta assist could be called on block, cell had his TOD's, kid buu had his 50/50, gohan had his crazy stuff, piccolo could do his snapback stuff altho it wasnt discovered yet, gotenks had his shenanigans, ginyu had his guldo crossup, nappa's saibamen spit couldn't be reflected, A16 had really powerful tools, SSJ Goku could double super without scaling, tien could be used for crazy damage, A18 had a certain amazing mixup, etc. Because the meta would focus like crazy on one thing at a time, slowly all of these were taken away. One could argue that's a good thing but it's of my personal opinion that each character should have at least 1 scummy thing.
I'd rather go back to those days than what we have now with GT Goku's bitch ass. At least when I get shitted on by a Cell player, I know he's good cause unlike Bardock and GT Goku, he takes skill to use. Well at least a lot more than those two lol.
@@stormbringer7773 in my opinion GT Goku isn't as bad as Bardock since he can't hit you while you're a whole other planet above by mashing one button lol I can't tell you how Bardock be carrying people

Storm Bringer777 bardock is easy to counter but you’ll usually get shit on by bardock if your like super saiyan 3 and below? Higher ranks don’t have an issue especially ssgod and above

This is why I think you should never TOD the First Character. 2 + spark vs 3 without spark is a tie game so is just unnecessary. Killing the second character is the best option for doing a TOD.
Malcolm Johnson I gotta agree with Ozy two assists are better than one sparking does offset damage and evens out in oppression potential, but the person with three characters is in the lead and they have better control of neutral at this point in the game. Within reason, it's highly unlikely that you'll be in a worse position than the person with 2 characters and sparking unless you're choking really hard or the opponent is simply better than you.
but 2+ Spark is still a slight disadvantage. You’re lacking a body so by default you’re not in the lead even with sparking. I can understand what you mean cuz the comeback factor of the Sparking exists but the fact is even with sparking one can still lose, it’s not a guaranteed win

I don’t really check player bases. It’s just that a lot of causal fighters that I know have dropped the game entirely. So I was just wondering what the rest of the world thought.
As of today, Tekken>>>>DBFZ>MK>SF>the rest. In terms of player count on steam. So no. A game isn't going to die just because a few people you know dropped it lol
Just search up the bnbs to the characters you wanna use and itll teach you everything. If you know how to jump cancel, you can basically use any characters

An assist can never get you out of a near death blockstring. That’s why spark is better than two assists.
