I just got my ukulele for Christmas (SOMEHOW we ended up with that money) and it's literally 3:21am while I'm watching this, so I get to surprise everyone I live with when they wake up with my new uke skills! thank you so much lindsey, your voice is amazing and you're brilliant at what you're doing

I received an ukulele for Christmas and have watched sooo many videos with little to no progress. This video has helped me to progress in just a couple of hours!! Thanks so much!! I now believe that I can learn!! You're a great teacher!!
I have a ukulele but yours sounds right.. like the sound is sweet. When I play the same, mine doesn't sound like that, it doesn't sounds right, the sound it makes is "harder"😭 I think I didn't tune it right but I have tried everything and nothing sounds good😔
Maybe you just dont have the same uke. I have a tenor, which sounds like you said "harder" than a concert or soprano If this is not helpful maybe your uke is not properly tuned. Download the app Guitartuna, I use it and it really helps...
Or maybe it's just the way your ukulele sounds, I first had one that sounded horrible and then exchanged it for a better one (which was even a bit cheaper)
It's like I'm listening to a remix of 15 songs. 2020 anyone? This video has been showing up many times in my recommendation, well, I didn't regret watching it. I have a ukulele so after watching this video, I searched the lyrics and played it how you played. Your voice is beautiful!💖
Hi Lindsey! Thank you for this tutorial. I just started playing ukulele this 31st of March and as of today, April 5th, I'm doing a slow progress but I think I'm getting better. I learned a lot from this video especially during the deciding time if I'll buy a uke or not. Looking forward for more of your tutorials! Stay safe! Sending hugs from the Philippines! 😊 🇵🇭

Lindsey, I am a music teacher and I have my students play along to this video when they are finally introduced to a minor. It is wonderfully done and I thank you very much. I chose your video because your vocal model (singing voice) is outstanding. However, you use some music terminology incorrectly, I would love it if you would re-record it use the right terms. In this video you use the word "beats" when you mean "measures" or "bars." A measure is a group of accented and unaccented beats. These songs are all in 4, so there are four beats in each group or measure/bar. Think of the bar/measure as one complete strumming pattern (down, down up, up down up). Some of these songs change only every two bars, or two complete strumming patterns. Note that bar is different than barre (fretting multiple strings at once). Beat means the steady pulse in music. These songs are typically about 136-144 beats per minute. Most of these songs change chords every four beats, or every one bar.

Thank you, Lindsey!! I just got a ukulele for Christmas this year and I’m learning some songs through this video (more specifically, “Let It Be”). Bless you and everything you do! ❤️
You've created a wonderful tutorial. I taught science for 30 years and give this an AA+ . It's fun because you look like you're ready to bust a gut laughing a couple of times. As a beginner Uke dude I play you back at .75 speed but that's not a criticism, just a tip for others watching.
I loved how you just continuously sang all 15 songs, the transition sounded so cool... xD I'm going to teach my kid ukulele and I'm sure he will love that Let it go can also be played with the basic chord. OH MY 😂😂
How to match the singing with playing the uke? Everytime I start singing, everything is just messed up. I also notice your strumming speed is different too.
12F-PSIS 10th generation I messed up a lot on riptide, but depending on the song you can just kind of strum however you want and get a feel for it, once you do that even if it doesn’t sound great try playing the song through playing it however needed. I hope this helps
Gracie Nadeau same over here. I guess I just gave up on that for now. I’m playing Can’t Help Falling in Love right now. It goes at a much slower pace and I can sing now. With one song at least. I’m happy with it.
You will never be able to play and sing together when u learn a new song, always need to Set in stone the rhythym and u need to feel comfortable with it to the point it becomes muscle memory. Thats when u will be able to sing.
Bruh you can play so many more then 15 its crazy 16: BTS - life goes on 17: Rose - on the ground 18: Bp - ice cream 19: Tessa - VioletCrush 20: Doja Cat - Moo and Go Down 21: Ikimono Gakari - Hana wa Sakura 22: Red Velvet - Psycho 23: Calboy - Envy Me 24: Smash Mouth - All Star 25: APOKI - Get it Out 26: YooA - Von Boyage 27: Moana - Far ill Go 28: Kano - Hello How Are You 29: Hatsune Miku - Thinking Miku 30: we bare bears theme song 31: TWICE - Candy Pop 32: Anne Mary - Birthday 33: Happy Birthday Song 34: TWICE - Likey
If your struggling to play and sing at the same time (like me) try strumming down once every beat. Sometimes it's hard to sing with new strumming patterns so I always do this because still sounds good

Thanks Lindsey!!! You’ve truly opened up a lot of doors with my beginning of ukulele playing. Definitely going to put all of these to good use. And you have a beautiful voice and are very talented. Keep Rockin 🎸🎸🎸 on!!!
Two years later and im seeing this and just made me order a ukelele , I love this 🥺
Got it but when I tried singing I sounded like a chicken lmao
Lol me too 😂❤️
@@gracie-lb3yb glad to know that I'm not alone lol

Thank you for this beautiful video..it was very helpful for a beginner like me☺️
The beat reminded me of over the rainbow
I just got a ukulele, hopefully I will learn to play watching your video.
Thank You so much I actually learned to play watching your videos, your amazing 🤩
Anyone watching on 2020
No
This is wonderful- just know it’s not beats, it’s measures. 4 beats to a measure in this case. So you either change your chord every measure or every other measure.
Actually, if you're going to be a pedant, it is bars!
Yeah she put in the discription box
You need to make more videos like this!love it so much!
You are the best!
Let it be and Let it snow are extremely great with this chords! Wow! And also your voice is incredible!
2 in the morning, I am afraid that if I play my uku now will get kill by my neighbors lol
Omg take on me by a-ha 🥰🇳🇴
Btw thank you for making this, i just got an ukulele 🙃
anyone else struggle connecting c chord and g chord together?? like my fingers aren’t quick enough to change chords😂
Amberleigh Duncan takes a lot of practice I was struggling a lot. After a week or two I got the hang of it.
Yup, much better if you use your middle finger so that you will just slide it and connect the other fingers
I used to struggle too. Just don't give up. If you practise for some days you will be able to play
@@maryjanevillocero9327 Good. Or just jump it over to the 2nd string and use index finger to barre the second fret.
Wow! You just gave me so much hope. If I learn just that one song. Thank you so so so so much!
Yay...I'm getting one for my birthday next month!
Super excited 😆
You are so cute, you remind me of my daughter... as she plays!! But she is only 13... x
Does your daughter have any tips for beginners 🤣 I'm 13 too.
@@brutusbabes9512 me to😂
I've finally learnt the chord and the pattern!! I CANNOT sing and play at the same time...Is there something wrong with me or do I just have to practice?
its normal don't worry, you'll get there if u keep practicing :)
Neda V practice practice and more practice trust me!!!😄
you are not weird. it took me a while, once you get it its into muscle memory! I thought I was a wacko too when I first tried
2:13 I literally thought it's gonna be Somewhere over the rainbow
Me too 😅
Same chords for the most part
This is freaking legendary! Love it so much and didn't realize so many of my faves used the same chord progression :o
not only can she play the Ukulele but she has a beautiful voice too x
Correct me if I made a mistake!
B1 means every 1 beat and B2 for every 2 beats

I've been searching tutorials but i kinda find them really hard to understand good thing i found you!
Thank you, Lindsey!! I just got a ukulele for Christmas this year and I’m learning some songs through this video (more specifically, “Let It Be”). Bless you and everything you do! ❤️
16. Cant help fallin inlove w u
17. One day
18. Superman
19. Someone like you
0.75x speed
thank me later
Love your voice 💛💛💛
I love playing forever young
so muchhh
You've created a wonderful tutorial. I taught science for 30 years and give this an AA+ . It's fun because you look like you're ready to bust a gut laughing a couple of times. As a beginner Uke dude I play you back at .75 speed but that's not a criticism, just a tip for others watching.
your voice is so beautiful ia am honest
Loved the video! Just to let you know, in the description you skipped the #4 and left out Hot n Cold.
Her: Hi everybody it's Lindsey
Me in a child's voice: Are you an angel?
Ah I see... a man of culture
The fact that she made a tutorial and medley at the same time made me speechless tho.. demn
I loved how you just continuously sang all 15 songs, the transition sounded so cool... xD
I'm going to teach my kid ukulele and I'm sure he will love that Let it go can also be played with the basic chord. OH MY 😂😂
How to match the singing with playing the uke? Everytime I start singing, everything is just messed up. I also notice your strumming speed is different too.
Keep trying, try humming before actually singing
"I'm just a girl, alone in my room.
I'm funny, quirky and all of my
lampshades are paper-based"
Bruh you can play so many more then 15 its crazy

If your struggling to play and sing at the same time (like me) try strumming down once every beat. Sometimes it's hard to sing with new strumming patterns so I always do this because still sounds good
I want to thank you to you so much bcs at the first time I bought my ukulele and I learned a song with you
