for me in no particular order. l3mmy dubz, master error, skore, upgrade, harley d. gino, vital, basstripper. my favourite jump up tunes atm gotta be skore - bad omen, l3mmy dubz - aeon, smoggy - rush, harley d - hallucinations and gino - something else 👌
Amplify is a really good mate of mine. Used to come watch my shows in the UK before getting into running Gradient etc. Big love to his progression. Boh!
3:08 Wow! This sounds unique! I'm loving the idea of having original breaks and loops, especially a mix of live and synthetic! Looking forward to learning more about this release! 🤩
Top 5 jump up producers currently IMO (no particular order). Master Error, Simula, Premium, nick the lot, Primate. Defo agree with your list tho, tbh theres too many to mention, in about a month mine will change even more 🤣
He was influential but I wouldn't say he invented jump-up. There were jump-up tunes as early as 1995. They sound very different to modern jump-up but they laid the foundation
Lets talk about Stranjahs word usage... "distaste" is such a great word... its vicious... it means its subtle and prolonged... almost disgust. I never thought I would see such venom!
The sound of Owls Of Filth is top-notch. Among the current world producers, only they can make such a unique sound, which is very recognizable. I also tried to copy their sound, but it failed.
Jump up is fun, but it's disposable. A track will be hot for about a month and then forgotten, just like with contemporary American dubstep. Sometimes stripping a track down to only bare essentials ends up leaving out interesting bits that could have made it memorable and classic. All my opinion, of course.
@@colinallcars5239 That's a solid point, though it's my opinion that some subgenres generally seem to be less interested than others at producing "timeless" sounding tunes. It's really all subjective and I'm aware that an opinion like this runs the risk of coming across as snobbish, so I'm always open to fresh perspectives.
While I agree with you, I don't think stripping a D&B tune down to its bare essentials is always a bad thing in other styles of D&B besides jump-up. Like, if you listen to early Pessimist tunes they are very minimal but with a lot of clever details that make them really interesting and a deep listen. I do agree though that with jump-up specifically, sometimes they are too striped back - especially the drums
kings of the rollers make better jump ups to my ear. I'm more into minimal/deep neuro stuff anyway tho. drop a heavier/crazier ting in there sometimes and I'm all bassfaces on the dancefloor. bredren, ill truth, break, dlr, all the sofa sound stuff etc etc.
@@Adam-g-uk Umm you completely misunderstood the comment. And no, dubstep never copied jump up. Pretty sure he just meant that the Skrillex sound influenced jump up at one point and the screechy "r**e a pig" style of jump up became a thing.
@@Ex0rz nah I get his point, that screechy stuff was out way before dubstep though, I personally think the mid 90s jump up was the best, aphrodite was ok but abit cheesy at times, philly blunt, v records, chronic, formation records ect was much better...
Jump Up is the most popular Style of DnB right now????? I think this really depends on where you life. Probably in the UK but for most countrys i really dont think so.
Damn dude, really? I have exactly the opposite opinion. Jump Up back in the early to mid 2000's was way, way better than recent Jump Up. I can't stand the lack of drums and the screechy and annoying synths. Absolutely terrible. Maybe Malfoy would be the only exception... his work on Junction 11 (or whatever that label was called) was pretty dope. But again, even though it wasn't mid 2000's, it also wasn't all that recent either.

I think the Spanish producer by the name Hydrø is a great pick. His buildups are mesmerizing, and the drops carry the beats to another level

Thank you mate 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Upgrade is also my favorite. Super good

How about the history of jump up, where the term came from ect lots of young ones don't know the history
You NEED to check out some of Original Sins new tunes! Sick new style! Cross between amplify and dominator

Mob Tactics - Grave Digger
Marcus Visionary
wouldn't say he was jump up
@@thedjdonbass His older stuff definitely was. I made this comment, not knowing that he has changed his sound.

True.... but isnt most DnB like that? Tends to happen in any genre that has 1000's of releases per month.

Jump-up is mindless fun and some people thrive on that. Others appreciate depth and meaning. Jump-up has been divisive since day dot tbh.
After dj Aphrodite era jump up turned to some kind dubstep on steroids (
No lol jump up was way before dubstep, dubstep copied jump up

A lot of jump up should actually be called neuro step or sth. Theres so many subgenres for dnb, jump up is just too big of a genre by now
