The light shining through the tress is simply breathtaking ❤ please put a roll up awning on the cabin were you can sit and watch the light change throughout the day. Not sure about that small tent. It would fit two Westerners, not 4! Looks small for two. Hope your kids don’t mind sleeping rough. Cuz they WONT FIT IN THAT SORRY 4 person tent. 😅😅😅😅
AS a veteran and being over there. You must remember they are much smaller people by design so that probably is about right for them. Your content is unsurpassed
I like pop-up tents, they're pretty cool, friendly use, quick setup... I use Decathlon's Quechua 2 second easy fresh & black (yes it's a mouthful to say haha), but it's really good quality, with darken inside from light, quick couple seconds setup, I really like it!
Well done, Luke. WOW, that table is THE BERRIES! I’m an old tarp guy; so, the awning, with the light panel, was interesting. We grew up cooking on big fires, gradually moving to smaller fires, to twig stoves. Now, that table, with the gas tank that mounts below the table, upside down, BIG IMPROVEMENT, for neat, clean cooking, smart. Still loving that 4-Runner, WHAT A GREAT CAR!!! Yep, we’re getting the heat. Thanks from east Tennessee.
I watch several channels of Korean young ladies camping in various areas of their country. Many of the tents, car tents, tarps, are made by Idoogen, of course. Nice stuff! And what is interesting is the assortment of novel gear that they use to ‘furnish’ their tents! Almost like home when they’re all done! The ladies are fun to watch setting up their tents in the rain and wind. But, they do it successfully!
What's with ALL the negative comments for Luke? Simply don't watch if you feel the color isn't up to your standards. Anyway, Luke about the hiking trip for you and Susie. Northwest Oregon, Mt Hood Wilderness area has some tremendous hiking. Temps right now are nice. Plenty of hiking trails and off trail hiking next to lakes.☮️✌️
It was 98 degrees about a month ago at my place and I did a hike on a local trail that's normally very busy and had the entire thing to myself. It was incredible. Birds in many varieties, wildlife everywhere (that normally get spooked by people). LOVED it. Fortunately, the trail is close enough I could go home and sleep in the AC, haha.
When I was in my pre-teens and teens, we had a tent ghat we could stand up in. It slept 4 very comfortably. We had canvas cots that we put our sleeping bags on, and ghere was room in the center for a card table. I am over 70 now. Are tents that size even made anymore? I could never get down on my hands and knees ti crawl into a tent and sleep.on the ground. I would never get up. Lol I do enjoy watching your adventures.brings back a lot of memories. 😊❤
Very cool tent. I recently bought a Ayamaya tent which is very similar, but awning is not nearly that large. Both door flaps can be used as awnings. Loving the tent.
I am at the 5032ft level in the San Bernadino Mountains of SoCal. The high today will be 85F. The early mornings are the best times to sit out on the patio to drink coffee and enjoy the fairly cool air. The rest of the day, we sit inside with fans directed towards our faces. Most homes up here do not have AC.
I love the simplicity and style of this tent...and the price is amazing. Let's see how it performs in the rain! I wish the awning was wider - seems that it wouldn't provide much protection from rain if there was any wind at all.
That's awesome Luke! Here in Oregon we have had a mostly milder summer than in years past. Granted we've been in the 90's and 100's off and on but mostly been coolin the mornings and evenings. Today's high? 77! Its been in the 50's overnight! Can't wait until fall but thankful for the cooler temps!!! We are desperate for rain though to help with all the wildfires!!
Im so jealous of your weather. Down here in Louisiana Summer is only really just getting started, and to hear you say Fall is around the corner almost killed me, lol. We won't get those temps you were dreaming for until October at the earliest, sadly.
Great video and great principles expressed: why should any bear suffer because of what humans do? You’re a top bloke Luke. I too, get away to enjoy the solitude.
MOST AWESOME HOMELESS SETUP EVER!!! Seriously, like my oversized hoodies I really like having extra elbow room and headroom in a tent. Good review and demos as usual.
That chicken and rice dinner looked amazing! I struggle to camp in summer because it is like you mentioned - around here its in the 90's during the day and doesn't even get under 75 at night and that is just too hot for me, I toss and turn all night without sleeping. Here in a couple of months though, I will be ready for it again. Cheers Luke! P.S. we need an overnighter with you and Suzie again.
Two adults max.or one adult and two children in that tent from the looks of it in your video. I have camped from the 1950s to present in all types of tents and in RVs but only in severe weather in the RV (tropical storm and one huge thunderstorm). Never have been in a tent in rain in all those years in Yosemite and Baja Mexico and in California.
Hey, could you do some videos on survival defense or deterant gear? Either against animals or people while someone is out camping. Maybe like perimeter traps or sound making devices to deter animals. Practical uses or items for solo women?
I had to laugh when you showed the fan and explained how it was 80 degrees and not pleasant in NC. We hit 110 for a few days in a row recently. Granted no humidity but I still had to chuckle at the fan and 80 degrees 😎
I love the back packing episodes you use to do. Like nor easter at 6000 feet and alone in the mountains 20 miles, and winter storms overnight adventure
We’ve had a very hot summer here in the Sacramento area. It was over 100F (37.78C) for two weeks straight. One day it was 112F (44.44C). The humidity has been low, mostly in the low twenties but that’s bad for fires.
This summer has been just excruciating. Here in the Northeast we went through 3 heatwaves, consecutively 😣. I am counting it down for this summer to be over. Did i mention rainless as well. Absolutely horrible 😟 I need to say something though that is so crazy. Hearing Luke read off the temperatures for the weeks ahead, it was like hearing me lol. That is me all the time and it felt like home. Too funny. 👍

It claims to be a four-person tent, but I've never used it for more than two people, and I usually occupy it alone. For one or two people, it's palatial. It's still on Amazon for $84.
I just got the cybertent for my Cyberbeast.. looks incredible, can't wait to use it. Definitely getting one of those fans for inside it, perfect for the Cybertruck cause there's outlets. Those pop up tents are so fun, so useful for car camping.
Excellent camping adventure this time Luke. Sorry to hear your road trip has been postponed, but is is nice to see cool stuff like the pop-up tent and that cool camping table. Well done, as usual.
