lady gaga is not a "good" singer. to say that is an insult to her talent. she is an absolutely amazing singer, awe inspiring and damn near perfect. imo, arguably the best current vocalist in the world. and add that to her overall musical prowess and she is one of the best entertainers of all time.

You should check out their vocals when they sing acoustic songs like this with one instrument. Gaga is amazing, but I wouldn't call it once or twice in a lifetime because she can play piano like millions of other people and sing really well. Even Kesha proved her vocal abilities on her new album.
Vocals? There's a lot of other great vocal artist there. Art-wise? Yes, she is a remarkable one. It's not just songs and vocals, she makes a good balance of art, her own experiences and music that is really rare to find in today's mainstream.

Now, today is a month since my grandfather passed away and i understand this song even more, my grandpa died next to my grandmother holding hands and asleep in an edge of glory with the person he loved and loves for all eternity. So this song has a whole new meaning to me now.

Absolutely amazing. Without a single flaw. I vividly remember when she came on the show. Weeks (or days) prior to it Howard was trashing Gaga saying she's a madonna copy cat and that she wasn't even -that- talented. This shut him, and everyone else up. This is where I learned that your craft truly speaks for itself.
Isn't it mesmerising how one human being can produce such a stunning performance. I find it almost impossible to grasp how someone can find such words and then produce a solo performance such as this. The Edge of Glory has captured me ever since her first performance in Carlisle, UK in 2011.
it's fucking amazing how she breaks her throat at the end giving a lot of strenght to the song, and from a second to another, she slows down the intensity, and her voice is still clean without effort, what an amazing singer. i don't really know if i said everything right, english is not even my language, but god dam, i had to say this.
I'd love to hear this song performed as if it was an 80 rock tune, big guitar riffs, big banging drums, big hair and lots of power! So many of her songs could just fit into other genres and still sound right.
If you search out the "Enigma Arrangement" playlist someone's done that attempts to recreate the Vegas arrangements of her songs, they very much have a 80s rock/synth vibe to them, though not 80s big hair style.
