That color combo C5 Z06 is exactly what I want! Tastefully done interior mods too. Most aftermarket stereos look horrible, not yours! I had a Millenium Yellow C5 coupe, which I also did the interior LEDs, well worth the tiny cost! I also replaced all the exterior lights, except turn signals (didn't want 'hyperflash') with LEDs, and it made the car look and 'see' much better! With replacement LED headlamps, make sure to get the '4-sided' or 4 chip LEDs on Ebay. They're much brighter than the 2 or 3 sided cheapies, and cost practically nothing (like $20/set)! I run them in all my vehicles, from Class A motorhome to Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. Make sure they're aimed properly! They look like a $million, last a long time, and are nicely colored and bright. The nearly full-spectrum color is important, not just for looks, but it reveals brownish animals better (they blend in yellow light). The 6000-6500k color has an affect to wake you up and make you more attentive (reason to avoid screen time near bed). That's good when night driving. So to justify the awesome looks, there's a little safety-science for ya! For all the ancient folks who moan about the bright headlights... they wouldn't bother you if you had something more than candle power on your own vehicle. Your pupils adjust to your own bright LEDs, so others' don't bother you! If you stop dangerously feeling around in the dark, it wouldn't be a shock when someone else who wants to see comes down your road! C5 Corvettes particularly need an upgrade in lighting. They outrun their stock lighting at like 50mph, and it's a friggin 'Vette! Awesome 'Vette you have there, don't sell it like I did!
Hey, instead of replacing the visors, I purchased leather boots that Velcro over the original visors. Found them on eBay. I went with black leather and red stitching. They look fantastic!

She’s a beast with only 74k on the dash. It’s got LTH CAI and a tune. Stock titanium exhaust (minus cats) 😜 it sounds awesome! It’s quiet enough to short shift and not draw too much attention and you can have a conversation on the highway with zero drone. However in the powerband HELLO!!! It’s a monster that pulls forever and aggressive and loud. Perfect combo. I’ll be stealing most of your interior mods. Keep the vids coming Bro. Good shit 🤙🏼

I have a built C5Z…most recent work was having the engine rebuilt rebalanced blueprinted w/ a Lunati forged crank & custom cut blower pistons among other things, already had A&A blower, dual tranny/engine cooler, diff cooler, built diff etc etc every time I did a major Mod I went & drove a newer/“superior” vette- bottom line? (Truest thing you’ll ever hear bout vettes) of the modern front engine rear drive vettes it goes like this C6 ZR1 > C7 ZR1 > C6 Z06 > C7 GS > C7 Z06 > C5 Z06 > C4 ZR1 > all else and the C8 mid engine? An animal all if it’s own

C6 interior is no more “up to snuff” The pop-up lights are now more a selling point than detractor, go look at a C5, C6, C7 Vette side by side all Up on a lift. Then try & make an argument the C5 isn’t >>>>value lol- it’s the same damn basic design lol!’ Throw an MGW short throw shifter, Dewitt rad/tranny cooler, some long tube headers, cam & blower - voila, you have a $40k Vette that’s badder ass & faster than a $100k+ C7 ZR1

I like the Car Audio system. I'll search for your setup. On the Suspension, I just completed mine. I went with the C6 Z06 Shocks and Bars. I felt it was better value than a Hotchkis and my Vette corners like a race car.
Re suspension: Penske makes some good adjustable shocks for C5 that are used in many "Spec Corvette" race cars for about $2500 and they have some good sways as well, track proven. Just my .02
50th anniversary and commemorative edition had tan boots. but never any had a two tone to my understanding. it was either an all black which is probably 95% of c5s or all tan boots
I acquired a 2002 C5 Z06 , Electron Blue, Black interior. Curious as to why you bought seats, rather than new foam? For mine, over all, everything seems to be in good shape. 71k miles. Lower panels a bit banged up, but underpinnings look fine. Your 10 most common issues are on point. File gauge, transmission seal, grounds... Going to try techron, and cleaning grounding points. Trying to decide what to do with seats, now I saw your seats, and I like the head unit and steering wheel. I picked up a 4 post lift, and it will be garage kept.

The seats look really nice. I know it sounds ridiculous but is there any more details about specific brands of them on amazon? What I can find is only sparco R100 and cobearu A4 or sth close to these, you know.
The C5 is still a gorgeous car. The only thing it makes me cringe is that AC unit. The dashboard is so beautiful with the new screen, but that old AC is sooooo '80... not even '90.
Yeah. It's a product made by jb weld. Plastic weld. Comes in a tube and works like a putty. It hardens when mixed together. Apply where you want to fill holes/gaps ect. Let set for a couple of hours then you can sand and paint it. Neat stuff.

I picked up an 02 Z on Friday. I had a 98 coupe years ago and always loved it. Realizing how antiquated the stereo was, I started researching replacement options a few weeks ago and was excited to see there’s a company making a modified console surround with a double DIN opening… Then I got a car with a $2500 leather wrapped Caravaggio console. I’d never pay for that myself, but it’s definitely nice and would be a shame to replace. So long story short, with this video being a year old, how are you liking the Joy head unit?

Do not take this the wrong way because your interior is nice but the orange in the interior is not the move. The yellow exterior and orange interior make it obvious its a retro-fit.
The interior looks great but the yellow and the red is like oil and vinegar. it is a horrible color combination. I hope you're planning on changing the exterior color.

The boot is aftermarket, all c5's, z06 and base, had black boots from the factory. Even mod red interiors

That's actually a factory option "mod red". I've seen people vinyl wrap it though. Looks pretty good.
