I’m Chinese from China but I’m near 40 years old. I’m very impressed by how brave and confident the nowadays younger generation have become. I remembered in my generation, there are very few Chinese people having the courage to do an interview in English with a Caucasian person, most people are timid and scared, but the young generation in their early 20s seem a whole different breed.

Hi Elle, thanks for comment, really interesting indeed how the generations are evolving, but it was great talking to them, really confident in front of the camera!

Good video. My daughter is U.S. born Chinese study abroad in London and it’s nice to understand different perspectives. My daughter told us the best experience in London so far is the West End. She has seen more than ten shows in less than two months!

the Chinese fit in well to the UK - the fact that they tend to be more law abiding than other communities also helps with peoples perceptions of them.

I was privildged to look after hundreds of Chinese students in a Student Housing Hall of Residency site. They are wonderful students and just like the rest of us. Great fun and lots of laughs and very happy memories. Love them. According to Govt figures, 155,000 Chinese students study here every year, contributed £Billions into our economy!❤❤

I've been watching some videos showing Chinese people in Shanghai etc expressing views about Westerners, and now the other way round. And it's quite uplifting actually. Everyone seems to be a lot more chilled than I expected. I'm a middle aged Englishman, all too often seeing the nastier sides of less broadminded folks in UK (and not always white folks, you know), and I'm happy to hear it's not as tense as the media would have you believe. As an aside, in last year or two we've had a lot of Hong Kong folks come and work on our factory floor (electronics), and they are great - every individual makes me want to generalise positively about the whole, because they are all so nice :) . Good vid, liked.

The main issue with Chinese in the UK is the schism between former Hong Kongers (who are the majority) and mainland Chinese.

The Hong Kong/Chinese mainland is really a political thingy, not for the ordinary folks!

South Yorkshire accent, "is that English?" 😮😂😂😂😂
I think we see them as just being Asian instead of thinking about the different Asian populations. To tell you the truth, if I were part of a test, being shown pictures of Asian native people from different Asian countries & being able to tell which native is from which country, I don't think I would perform well on it.

I'm surprised that so many of them can afford to come here, isn't it really expensive

The last girl is quite the ray of sunshine. She seems very confrontational which does not go down well in the UK.
