If you hear the voices, that’s called an auditory illusion, coined by some random dude putting songs into MIDI players and hearing the voices. I’m 99% sure it’s because the vocal parts are being converted into MIDI and while it’s definitely not vocal, it’s close enough and your brain has been trained to hear these words before so you hear them.

the midi conversion seems fairly capable of replicating vowel sounds and human pitch ranges for just a piano song. this is essentially turning the audio's bit rate down suuuuuuper far to match our 12-note octave system, then playing each pitch as a piano note instead of a sine wave
