This makes me think that the orangoutang are the brightest or at best the most adaptable of the great apes.

yeah it's now believed they are #1 in the "brains" dept., by a slight margin over bonobos. as for gorillas? aww, they're the forever toddlers of the apes 😊 they just wanna eat and play

As a fertility primate specialist i had the chance to work with gorillas chimps and orangutans. I love them so much. They are less agressives and very similar to humans in so many ways. Even if they arent that social.... There in something in their eyes, they have an amazing emotionnal intelligence that is unique to primates. I miss working with them, the Little one specially. They are in need of constant love and you bound with them like you bond with a human kid. Orangutans have a big strong relationship with their babies. Just like human do but even more. This is what impress me the most. How they are glued to each other for at least 3 years. She wont let him go away for a second until she quit breastfeeding him... So wonderful to watch!!!

What do their faces feel like is what I want to know, where they have hair but not long hair?

    • @mllev.auxiliairesexuelle

I am a fertility primate specialist. I can answer your questions. In fact, their face feel exactly like ours. Just thicker. Their nails are thicker too. They dont have fur, its actually hairs. All over the body. The hairs are softer around the neck and head area. They have a very distinct smell. Very masculine, "musk" like. Gorillas do too. If you work with them, you will eventually knows when one is coming near you. Since they dont use brush and shampoo, a lot of things get into those long (trough the floor) hairs. Food, wood, leaves, urine etc get stuck in there. And unlike chimps and gorillas, adults orangutans are solitary and dont groom each others wich again explain that distinctive smell ;) and they dont like water that much ;) sorry for my english.

@@mllev.auxiliairesexuelle oh my goodness thank you so much, you described it down to the tee so well. What an exciting job you must have. I have been in awe of the different primates for years now and have always wanted to hold one. I of course think they belong in the wild and would never have one as a pet but would love that one on one with a baby of each, you know? I have heard that they do smell of urine, you’re not the first one to say that LOL! I have also heard that they do have lice, is that true? That would also frighten me to hold one. Again thank you for the explanation I couldn’t of asked for more. 🐒
