I literally bought a used One S because I got my dad a 4K TV for the living room for his birthday and I wanted to upgrade the aging Xbox One. Since it is only used for 4K streaming, Blu-ray, and occasional gaming, the One S just made more sense for my particular circumstance (also had to remember that my parents are old and I’ve trained them to use an Xbox One, training them to learn new tech that isn’t related to tech they know is an uphill battle).
I love how you guys talk about xboxes getting “cheaper” meanwhile where I live I can’t even find an xbox in stores anymore and the Series X is now doubled retail at around $1000 due to supply and demand. Honestly if you want to buy an xbox right now, go with a 360 or later because 360 is King and the One’s are princesses. That or buy a computer instead around the same price as a Series X that way you get extra functionality at the same costs while being slightly more portable and can still play games. I have a 7-8 year old console which runs super slow and overheats but still works just fine with no red rings of death so older xboxes are still good to play on provided you get one used and in “Good Condition” and definitely not from Wish…Austin. Great video anyways, you guys are one of my go to tech nerds. Much love
For me the Surface Pro 7 is a solid A tier. Currently I'm using an i7 16G version as a daily driver for work. The whole format just works well in any office environment and not supporting Thunderbolt 3 isn't much of a problem since most enterprises and my clients don't even have anything that is as advanced as the SP7. It's relatively small size is also great to handle in any situation and I had already ditched the company laptop and used that only as a paperweight on my desk. And when I'm at home I can just gain access to a PC in 10 seconds within arms reach when emergency calls comes in. It's not going to be your main workstation for sure, but it is a wonderful supporting device that always gives you enough tools to take care of the problem when you met one. If it comes packed with a MX150 or MX250 inside then it might get the S tier for me, but considering it's form factor and small size, also what this device was designed for, it's perfect for what it is and I certainly have no problems using this tablet wannabe as a laptop substitute.
Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL chuckles in background. They were well made phones with the software which didn't received polished software and eventually the death of Windowsphone and restart of Nokia.
I am honestly with Austin on the XBox Series X there aren't any exclusives on it that I won't be getting on PC which is what happened with the XBox One as well so I has been PC+Sony+Nintendo and looks to be that for the foreseeable future for me personally. Nintendo for what franchises they have, Sony for those exclusives, and PC for basically everything else including MS exclusive games
My thing about surface pro is that it was one of the first real 2-in-1’s because it is laptop specs. People have tablets but none can truly do laptop/full computer things. The surface pro does that.
One X was a big A tier when it came out though. HDR, 4K, the only downside is that it doesn't support more advanced HDR specs and the Kinect had to have an adapter. Yes, I know, but I'm taking it for what it's worth, granted, never played any kinect games on xb1 but motion controlled games are a fun change from holding a controller or k+m.
@Dr. BoostFire I'd like to use Linux but it doesn't have some the soft that I use a lot.....so I'm stuck with windows....moral of the story is, "popular things aren't necessarily the best things" -_-
Being real harsh to the surface book there... Though I will say the 3 didn't really improve on the 2 in any real way so maybe true. I will say as someone who needed a laptop that could run basic 3D programs and still be portable it has been the best all around option on the market. Other laptops with equivalent GPUs are twice the size and price and/or completely plastic.
The only reason I recommended someone get a durface tablet is because they couldn't afford an iPad or Wacom tablet and they needed something great for drawing/sketching.
"They will most likely have the one x in store for the rest of year." "Right now, if you want to buy a Xbox, short of waiting for the series x, one s is your only option." What?
Microsoft's hardware division has never been big on being up to date. They work more on design and ergonomics- basically giving OEM's a benchmark for what a windows machine can be and do. In that respect, it's kinda like Google and their pixel line rather than apple that Microsoft doesn't wanna compete with its OEM's and so produces overall niche products
Surface line is nice an innovative, but gosh they are expensive! And that point have not being up today even when they come out is frustrating. I expected so much more from the Surface Book 3
Austin makes me kind of want to try a Surface Go 2 with the Core M processor just to see how I like it compared to my iPad Air 3 as a secondary mobile computing device. Really wish Microsoft would just make the Surface Studio a monitor, or if they’re going to make it an all-in-one they could at least add monitor functionality so that you can hook it up to a much more powerful desktop. Would also like it if they were to finally add Thunderbolt 3 to their laptops and lower the price of the Surface Laptop 3. Checked in Canada and you can literally purchase a better-speced MacBook for the same price or less. Funny that Apple is actually cheaper! Same thing for the iMacs.
Xbox One S was brilliant when it came out. Cheapest 4K Blu-ray player at the time and also did gaming and other media :P One X will most likely be more powerful than the upcoming "cheap" Series S according to some rumours. So it would make more sense to sell that for about the price of the One S instead of cutting it out.
The Surface Book 3 is just too damn expensive, especially considering it maxes out at a 1660Ti Max Q and only a quad core 10th gen i7. Yes, I know of the Quadro RTX 3000 option, but that is not readily available for consumers and it's even more expensive than the already expensive Surface Book 3 models.

Oh I get it. Since Sony has more consoles than Microsoft, and they needed to make the video around the same length of the Playstation tier list, they did this one on Microsoft products rather than just the Xbox. BUT... they didn't want to make this video to be significantly longer than the Playstation video by including all of Microsoft's hardware since the PS1 was released.
I've got a Series X, a One S and a gaming PC. Series X is the best for gaming as I turn it on and it's ready to go every time. Good game play quality across the board. One S isn't very good these days as it lags so badly. Casual gaming it's fine but you can't compete in most lobbies. PC gaming, everyone I turn it on, it has to do an update and then it has to compile shaders. I can't just turn it on and play. Series X wins hands down.
The One S needs a price drop with impending new console. For all kids with parents on a budget, I hope the One S gets a drop to $200-250 to clear stock before the holidays, and while its always tough on a kid to get a generation old console for Christmas, it would definitely make it the best gaming choice in the price range, even at $250. New gen will be too much more for a budget buyer, cheapest ps4 from gamestop runs $280, and unless your kid LOVES Spiderman, a potential $250 One S is, let's face it, probably a better choice. A Switch is out of price range, at $270+, IF you can find it in stock. Switch Lite is the only real competitor, and while its a GREAT machine, its a vastly different experience.
And especially most of the upcoming games announced so far seem to be going on the One and Ps4 AS WELL as the new gen, and competitive PC hardware is definitely too expensive for the households i have in mind... Little Johnmmy can play his Cyberpunk on his new One S with a fancy disc slot, you can get 30 other games for 20 bucks from Facebook marketplace, and it's one hell of a Christmas. Who cares if Johnmmy doesn't want to play the copy of Crysis 2 for Xbox 360, he has 19 other games to pick from, and any one of them will hold his interest longer than homework will. I really hope my comment find and then hit home with just one Xbox exec who just so happened to grow up poor and didn't get a yo-yo until they were 16, because yo-yos were popular when you were 9, why don't you still want one? I feel your pain. Look out for future generations.
Austin: Don't buy current gen consoles right now. Also Austin (In his PS video): Ranks PS4 like A tier. Austin is so damn biased, Sony paid him for that.
I have really admire the physical design and concept of their computers, but their price and performance categories are majorly lacking, and to an extent even further than apple. Sure, apple can pull this premium strategy because their products are the only ones that can run MacOS, which I myself love and there are plenty of real benefits to, but, for instance, let's take the studio 2: GORGEOUS design, large, vivid touch screen, All-in-one, but for a ridiculous premium when you can build a superior PC for a mere $1000 that other than maybe only having half as much RAM, will bring the studio to it's knees. They just do a straight up awful job of keeping their products up to date with the newest hardware. The aforementioned studio 2 is still using PASCAL graphics cards and the far outdated and lackluster intel 7th generation processors, and on top of it jam packing them into a thermally crippling package.
The worst Microsoft product is Xbox one's terrible UI and Xbox game bar/app. If they don't improve the UI on the Series X, they're seriously screwed. It feels and runs like it was made by a freshman college student

What about Microsoft's mobile division? What about Windows Phone? And what about the SURFACE DUO and SURFACE NEO?
Kens legit wearing a wig from the 90s
*MacOS on iPad Pro, and then, let the tablet-laptop war begin.*
What about the Duo? If you are going to talk about future products. I think that's more interesting than half of these
My Microsoft tier list is almost the opposite of this...
Austin: Don't buy current gen consoles right now.
Also Austin (In his PS video): Ranks PS4 like A tier.
Austin is so damn biased, Sony paid him for that.
0:51 Porter Robinson epic
Oh I'm early for this one, heck yeah! Love your videos you guys! Thank you :)
It should be called From Worse to Worst 🤫
They should release a Surface Pro that supports eGPU, I really think that would up the use for that lineup.
Windows 10 itself like why the fuck when I launch a game my volume is louder
Antimalware service exe. WHY CANT I TURN IT OFF
I wonder how much Taco Bell is paying Austin for wearing their shirt... Idk, just seems like a secret sponsorship.
Who wants them to make a 10hrs+ video ranking all the products Samsung make? 😂😂
Austin losing that MS money for 17 minutes straight
Less than 5 minutes in and Samsung already threw me 2 Note 20 ads
Edit: At 8:39 I got a third one
The worst Microsoft product is Xbox one's terrible UI and Xbox game bar/app. If they don't improve the UI on the Series X, they're seriously screwed. It feels and runs like it was made by a freshman college student
Kens hair really Donald trump
Ken is the man
I love that taco bell shot they need to pay he for to Sponsor
Easily the surface go. A Pentium Gold cpu, 4gb ram, and 64gb Storage for 400$ what a joke.
Austin is rating Microsoft products while he has a copy of windows XP in the background.
