so how those dongles (the s9pro for instance) sound in comparison to the desktop jds labs thats the question. Also the sound of the dongle dacs can be upgraded by using some usb noise filtering technique (audioquest jitterbug for example, or ifis products).

You need a leap not increments. Cayin 6u , r2r is definitely something you need to experience. Sigma delta junk just sound artificial.
