    I think this generation of Yukon/ Tahoe/ Suburban is going to live on as a real classic for decades. It's not hard to see why people still love them so much and drive the heck out of them.
    My favorite thing about these has always been the beautiful leather seats and how they just fold you in. This is a truck that makes you want to kill lots of miles in!

  • @williebailey91
    @williebailey91 3 ปีที่แล้ว +27

    People don’t understand how much of a sleeper this truck really is. It’s one of the quickest trucks GM has ever made. It’s a power house, it’s quicker than the early 2010s Ford Raptors, it devours R/T Dodge Durango’s, and still offers more performance than the 2021 RST Tahoe as far as 0-60 times go.
    It’s a poor man’s trackhawk for under $10,000

    Love my ‘02 Denali. Just put a brand new engine, touchscreen receiver w/ Carplay and backup cam after 325k. Such a well designed/engineered vehicle. The turn ratio on this SUV is incredible. Nothing on the market impresses me so I will stick with my ‘02 Denali😁

    One of my friends replaced his 2006 Yukon SLT with a newer (lower mileage) Yukon. He sold me his 2006 Yukon SLT for dirt cheap. I spent a couple thousand dollars on tires, suspension upgrades, tune up, fluids and filters. After a detail cleaning it became my daily driver. What a great vehicle. It has the 5.3 L engine and it's a beast. Best snow vehicle I've owned. I live on a mountain top in Colorado and I've pulled out a number of stuck expensive 4WD trucks. And OMG the heated leather seats! The Yukon excels for driving the snow packed mountain roads in a blizzard at night but it's equally suited for a long 70 mph highway trip. Great vehicle. I like it so much I'm tempted to by a used Denali.

The 6.0 really moves the truck astonishingly, feel in love with it and I plan to keep it through the years. After 15 years the Denali has held up pretty well, surprisingly better then the 08-14 models.

    Actually the 6.0l was used to offset the extra weight of all the Denali options, etc. and doesn't have "a lot" more power than the 5.3l, but definitely uses more gas. Get the 8.1l if you want something to tow heavy loads over hills.

    • @tripledub0evoxgsr
      @tripledub0evoxgsr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tripledub0evoxgsr Who's butt did you pull that BS out of? I have two 2003 5.3l powered trucks with 235k and 270k miles. They run great and don't burn oil. 2003-2004 5.3l made 285/295hp and 325/335ft lbs. The 6.0l made 300hp/360ft lbs. That's only a 15hp or 5HP difference, not 50HP. And the 6.0l has more torque for the loaded AWD SUVs but gets 3-4 less mpg. Don't try to correct people with ignorance.

      It's a decent truck man. The motor is pretty damn solid from what I hear. I had an '05 Denali XL and surprisingly turns on a dime. That thing is very quick for its size. Smooth on the highway. Rides like a Cadillac car and gets around 20 mi to the gallon if you're real easy on it (I have) only issues that are out there that I know of are the air ride suspension. Which can be replaced with traditional springs for around 600 bucks. And mine had a rear air conditioner evaporator that kept freezing up. And what they call a blend door actuator that's a pain in the ass. But other than those few things it's a pretty solid truck. I always thought they look better than the one that came after
