Yeah Im actually more drawn by the green forms with the unique shapes or characters myself 🥹 but I would like to try my hand on a couple of variegated once they become affordable
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Thank you Sean for another wonderful tour. Hybrids are good because they introduces new species, and will hopefully stop poaching in the wild 🥰🥰🥰
I’d love to see an episode like this about all types of monstera not just the deliciousa and bosigiana. I’m not much of an anthurium girl but that bonfire is stunning!
This superb collection by Mr. Chandra G. is simply spectacular and with a great variety of beauties of hydrid anthuriums, many of which are the first time I have seen them and enjoyed them, in particular I really liked Anthurim Bonfire, Anthurium Mystique A88 and Another one that really caught my attention was the Anthurium Clarinervium Variegata, a unique beauty, videos of this type are the ones that are really worth enjoying, your channel is one of the best in this type of content, thank you for showing us these incredible gems of the nature.Greetings.
Thankyou, Sean for this incredible journey through this amazing collection this nursery is truly impressive. The Anthuriums are just gorgeous. I eagerly await all your adventures. Thankyou from ellesunderthewillow
😀😀 thanks to the internet, plants are being spread around faster than before. Hope it gets distributed… but for this particular plant it may take a very long time. Im waiting too!
Was surprised to see Mr Chandra owns The Waterfall Restaurant..as I've been following Godong Lawang in the making of it..Maybe he should call one of his cocktails 'Bonfire'..Thanks again Sean
I just love variegated hybrids they are very artistic genetic expressions. I'm just waiting for you guys to figure out how to have the genes write your names in the patterns.
Very interesting and beautiful video about the new colored varieties of Anthuriums of Mr Chandra!!!❤❤ I like very much the Red Dark Phoenix and all the Bonfire hybrids with orange colors!👍👍 My problem is the cold temperature during winter : so I need to protect anthuriums and can't have a lot of them in my glasshouse (as I like all kinds of plants, the place is limited!) Anthuriums need a minimum of 15°C, if I'm right?
Yes I think 15 degrees is already pushing it too much. Wonder if you can bring them indoors over winter. The humidity will cause them to suffer but I think they will survive through spring, and then you can have nice leaves again.
Thank you! ❤❤I have two anthuriums clarinervium and I have to put them inside of the house during winter. If it survives I will know that I can have more!
I have 2 anthuriums that I’ve had for a year. The clarinervium is finally starting to size up a little, after I moved it to a grow tent with stronger light. Leaves are still maybe only 5 or 6 inches. My veitchii did nothing at all for a year, but I put it in the same tent and it finally put out a couple of leaves, though still small. I also moved them both to Lecca, which they responded well to. I live in a place where ambient humidity is maybe 30 percent on a good day, but they were both in a cabinet that maintains 90 percent. The thing I’m wondering about is temperature. In the winter the temp goes down to 16 degrees Celsius at night. Could this be the issue? The cabinet sits against an outside wall and it is even cooler than the room. Wondering if I need to increase the night time temp. My verricosum is similar. Tiny leaves though bushy…
ANOTHER GREAT ONLYPLANTS VIDEO.....I REALLY APPRECIATE THE TIME YOU TAKE WITH EACH PLANT AND PAK CHANDRA GENEROSITY IN SHOWING US THESE MAGNIFICENT ANTHURIUMS...... ABSOLUTELY STUNNING SEAN. ANOTHER SAVE TO MY PLAYLIST. I WISH I HAD A SMART TV SO I COULD SEE THEM ON THE BIG SCREEN. I CAN ALSO UNDERSTAND WHY PAK EDDY PRANATO WOULD PART WITH SOME OF HIS HYBRIDS TO PAK CHANDRA..... ITS THAT SHARING WITH LIKE MINDED GROWERS THAT OPENS UP EVEN GREATER POSSIBILITIES FOR THE PLANT WORLD. 🕊🐘✨️🙌💙🙏💚🙏💙🙏🙌✨️🦋🐝
About 2 years ago I did an episode with Eddy Pranoto, detailing why he hybridizez in the next episode he pollenates two species of thaumatophyllum for us.
Wow wow wow!! 🤩. I love the name "E3" she's cute 🥰. Love from India 💙🌿. Your videos always Motivates 💯. Only one question. How to get rid from spider mites?? May be in the future video, can give us few tips. I'll be great ful.
1. Neem oil with soapy water 2. Chemical pesticide sprays 3. Granular slow release pesticide 4. Temporarily increase humidity over 75% (if its a small pot of plant you can tent it in a clear plastic bag for 2-3 days and let it get 99% humidity.
I prefer larger anthurium. Variegated anthuriums are awesome, but I would live in a constant state of paranoia worrying about them. Great video. Thank you. 13:40 😂😂😂😂😂
Actually sean, HU (KOS) from seedling isn’t mutated watsoever. It just the fact that progeny from hybrid plant (which HU is a hybrid) will be segregated like the basic mendellian genetics. It will produced tons of new shape and pattern. The fact that the production of anthurium (including HU) mostly not under some selection process, we will get tons of new types of HU including the flat sinus one.
Sometimes the parents are unknown, untraceable, or too long to mention. Especially if its a complex hybrid. A shorter name is easier to remember and might also represent the “look” of the plant better. I have a feeling in a few months or years many Anthurium hybrid names would become too long remember or mention.
@onlyplants Sean, I did watch the video you did on birds nest and the amazing hybrids . Mr pronoto? From a year or so ago. Oh my goodness they are incredible. Such passion and dedication in this day and age is wonderful. I will keep a look out for your Thailand episode. Thank you for your passion and dedication too. Much respect 🙏
Thank you, Sean! Once again, I am thrilled to go behind the scenes with you and see what growers are doing!

Wow those bonfire hybrids are amazing! Must be expensive, but like a work of art! Maybe one day we will all get to own a few lol, wishful thinking
Everything stabilize over time. Some takes 1 year (syngoniums/scindapsus etc) but some can take 10 years. Im patient enough to wait 😀

❤️❤️
Stunning! But it takes a while before we will see them in the UK
Actually only growers have these here too, not yet collectors.
@onlyplants hopefully I will be alive when it finally is available in the UK then 😂😍

@@onlyplants15 C, 59 degrees F. Is that to low?
What area do you live in? I’m in NC mine do well as long I keep it around 65 67 degrees in the winter.
I only have one and I love the shape and the speed it grows. I get too sun and heat in Tokyo summer.
Nice! Im wondering which variety it is 😀
Those prints at 5:21 are stunning. Are they available anywhere? Amazing video!
They were on sale at an event. I would DM @indoaroid.official to ask if they can share the artist contact.
Thank you!
the KOS x RC NSE ..ooooof
🤤🤤
I just bought some variagted seedlings from Mr. Eddy after this video. 🤫🤦🏻♂️
Hahaaa I want one too 🥹
i was literally just watching his man cave tour on leafing around.
Haha yes he’s great. (Also Irene ❤️)

I think if you can raise the temperature to 18-20 degrees in the winter they will be happier but I dont think 16 degrees can kill them 😋
moreeeeeeeeee anthurium videosssssssssss pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hi Sean. Do you have a video of how breeders actually breed and do hybrid?
About 2 years ago I did an episode with Eddy Pranoto, detailing why he hybridizez in the next episode he pollenates two species of thaumatophyllum for us.

Haha thank you. I wanna try variegated when I can afford them. But the green I have is perfectly beautiful.
May I have one of his rejects? Please and thank you.
😅😅 There must be thousands of then 🤤

Oooo yes… mutation would not be the right word for it, you are right 😀
Where can I purchase these seedlings?
You could DM them directly @indoaroid.official
Om.. kenapa bhs ingris nya g ada sub indo??
Bisa kak, di setting video nya nyalaain auto caption nya ke bahasa Indonesia. Hope it works
Are they making up names of hybrids (Bonfire) to not let people know the parent plants?
Sometimes the parents are unknown, untraceable, or too long to mention. Especially if its a complex hybrid. A shorter name is easier to remember and might also represent the “look” of the plant better. I have a feeling in a few months or years many Anthurium hybrid names would become too long remember or mention.
Saw the insta post and came to my subscriptions to watch. It wasn't there. For some reason I was unsubscribed.
Whoaaa thats strange. I think youtube algorithm is a bit strange these days. I havent had growth for subscribers in a while.
А есть страничка в вк или инстаграмм, телеграм?
Im @bo.tan.ist on instagram
Birds nest variegated are definitely my favourite.
Ohhh theres a massive bird nest episode coming soon, filmed in Thailand.

nothing's gonna beat anthuriums. Iphilodendron is quite common nowadays. monstera's are over rated. but anthuriums... GOSH! they're so beautiful!
Yes 🥹 they are starting to grow on me
