    I'VE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE!
    I totally blew it at the end of the video and forgot to mention that you will need external monitor speakers, or at least need 1/4 inch out headphones. Here is what I am using!
    Headphones - amzn.to/3TiYJ8I
    Speakers - amzn.to/3ZltMEH
    Speaker Cables - amzn.to/3B5WLSM
    Subwoofer (this thing KILLS) - amzn.to/3XB3opb
    Happy writing/playing/jamming/producing!!!

      Hey, if I understood correctly I can't listen to what I'm playing on my guitar on my regular pc speakers that are connected to my PC?
      I need to buy speakers/headphones that can be plugged into the interface?
      Thanks

      @@MrWestSky yes you are right. The focus essentially becomes the main sound source of the computer, so you would have to plug headphones into the focusrite or plug speakers into the output of the focusrite.

      @MaximLonesomemaxx i believe the answer is no. However you could certainly try that before you buy anything additional. From what i understand, once you plug in the audio interface then that becomes in charge of the sound for the computer.

    I use the same Audio interface (Scarlett i212) - but use the free DAW (Cakewalk) which basically works very similar to Amplitude. It's been a great way to supercharge my guitar with different amps and effects. I suggest buying a good set of headphones and some nice studio monitor speakers. I'm also using the DAW to record my own music - which has been a big learning curve (but there are plenty of TH-cam resurces to help). I paid about USD$600 for the full setup and I love it.

    I think it's pretty dumb at this day and age that you can't just play through your PC's sound device. having to futz around with ASIO is such a pain in the ass when you've got a nice set of gaming ear cans that you can't use. you gotta unplug them and them stick them into your interface. it's frustrating that no audiophile/PC expert has integrated the two. Amplitube is awesome if I could just output it through the bloody HDMI audio device on the monitor, PC speakers or my Steelseries headset.

      I hear ya there, definitely it’s a pain to deal with all that extra stuff. I’m a bit surprised that they don’t make computers with built in soundboards of higher quality that could even have input jacks right on them. Maybe someday!

    I am having a problem with my latency and buffer size on FL studio 2024. I've been trying to get my plugins to work but no matter what I set the rate and buffer size to I get delay. When I use my guitar through any of my vst amps I'm getting latency. Even with the standalone vst amps I'm getting 3ms latency. My DI is a focusrite Scarlett solo gen 3. My CPU is a i9 14900kf. Shouldn't I be able to keep it at 48000khz and get 2 or 1ms latency or less?
    I had it set before I had to reset my PC and now I forgot what I did to make everything work 🤦🏻‍♂️
    I'm also confused because I can't get the output to play through my headphones. Only will play through my speakers.

    • @kurtispmusic
      @kurtispmusic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      3ms latency honestly sounds really good, most mere mortals can’t feel that delay. But that might not be a bad idea for another video. Your equipment sounds very capable to handle all of this.
      As for the headphones, do you have the headphone volume knob turned up?

    • @doomsayr_x
      @doomsayr_x 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kurtisparker yeah it's all the way up. I can't seem to find the settings for output.The bugger issue is that I can feel the latency between the guitar and the software. Should I go up to like 88000khz and a bigger buffer to try to get it lower? I had it set perfect but my pc needed reset and now I am getting delay. I feel like every time I set up it's been a way of fixing this but it's been the same issue everytime.

      So you could bring a laptop and your focusrite to a live gig and use it that way. It might be a bit of a bulky set up, but some artists do this! The only thing is that you are going to need POWERED SPEAKERS that are big enough to produce enough volume for the venue you are at. Try reducing the buffer size of your DAW/amp sim, step by step until you notice improvement. May not be what's causing the issue on your end but I've found this to be helpful.
      I personally haven't used Amplitude. There are a few people complaining about latency issues in these comments. I wonder if this particular amp sim is more demanding on computers, causing the lag. I'd also recommend trying different free amp plugins to figure out what's really causing the issue.

      Sorry to reply so late! It could be the interface or it could be drivers that aren't updated totally. You can try to search for the asio4all drivers that are free. Hopefully that might do it. Otherwise you might just need to tweak your gain/volume to make sure the signal isn't clipping.

    • @lordiblees
      @lordiblees หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm very new to all this myself. I haven't faced a huge latency issue yet but one thing that improved it even more for me was reducing the buffer size. Check your DAW or standalone amp sim settings and try smaller and smaller buffer levels but don't go too low because I think it stretches CPU usage to its max limit. Not sure if the that's the issue in your case but it's worth trying.
      Also, how are you monitoring the output? The Scarlett's headphone/speaker output should give you better latency than say, driving external speakers/headphones through your laptop.

      It doesn’t have to be. On the focusrite, as long as your gain doesn’t blink red then you are good. Then use your ear in amplitube for the gain setting there. If it starts getting crackly and poppy then your gain is too high.

    Is there a way I could change the download path. When I pressed install for the AmpliTube 5 in the product manager it brought up a application error.

      i had the same issue. all you have to do is click on the settings menu in the top right corner of the product manager app and change the download path to something different. hope this helps!
