To clear up some confusion: The house was built in 1901, so that's why it has the cool architecture that it has. It was lived in till about the late 1990's or early 2000's, when the man went bankrupt and left everything. So it has been abandoned for roughly 15-20 years.
Just wanted to thank you guys! Today I reached 20,000 Subscribers! I'm going to be doing a 20k snapchat Q + A video soon, so if you want to ask me a question in a video, send a snapchat video to me! Snapchat name is CodyBuffinton
Wow, that such an unusual idea for a channel, to visit abandoned places. And I don't know why, but I really got curious and envolved with this. You gained a subscriber man! Cool stuff.
+Riley Steve I think he means those who destroyed the house. It's a shame that some people have very little respect for things that are not theirs (esp. a house that is owned by someone). Nonetheless, this was an excellent video
I'm definitely a big fan of exploring abandoned places but just to get the feeling and see something that used to be a life filled building, I think it's so disrespectful how people ruin these buildings.
How do you know nobody died in itit or it's not haunted? Maybe it was built on haunted land or on an ancient Indian burial ground. Or a former owner is haunting it
If the family just went bankrupt then why would they leave literally every single item they owned? I mean more then half of that stuff could have been sold to make some money or used to just survive. Why would they just seemingly walk out of their house and onto the streets without anything at all? It really doesn't make sense
Not to mention the blood is probably fake (Me being captain obvious). If it was real, the blood would've oxidized and turned brown. Also that rose on the piano wouldn't have been there! It would've withered away!!!
Honestly, I've only gone to one abandoned place (and I hope to visit more) but I have so much respect for you on how you don't steal or vandalize. People don't realize that you're taking something that was once part of somebody's life, ya know?
+Jobdecoolegozer hazendonk I think some people came and put fake blood and knifes and satanic and REKT the place to make it look supernatural and scare people.

The videos good enough, but I find the lack of hate in the comments..... concerning; considering, of course, that he spammed almost every channel under the same with the exact same comment.
+Ender Cloud 101 I'm not trying to make him feel bad! And, thinking about it, the lack of hate is probably BECAUSE he spammed, and videos were actually good! It's like a pleasant surprise.
that is an absolutely amazing house! its such a shame that it is abandoned. the wood working around the walls and the design is so elegant and beautiful.

My family owns a house, we go into it sometimes but it's technically abandoned. It was part of the underground railroad, there's a mural on the wall and blood on the wall, most likely belonging to a slave. Ghosts have been captured and recorded there and one, a slave named Hattie, told them there are tunnels off of the old water shaft that hold the bodies of her, her children, other slaves and things from the family that owned her. I've been inside and it's very creepy and surreal.
It's a real shame to see a place like this so trashed. Beautiful 1/4 sawn oak woodwork, paneling, some rooms done in mahogany, just that main staircase would cost over 50 grand to build today. Just that back staircase at 9:18 is gorgeous! The wall as well as all the paneling is curved. There's a LOT of work involved in curving all those wood pieces (I'm a cabinetmaker, so I know).
The equipment he has is phenomenal! High quality cameras, bright lights that shine far, I didn't get a good look at the masks, but the fact that he has the masks is incredible all on its own. I only have my phone camera/lights and my t-shirt . . . . I never stay in an abandoned place for longer than a few minutes because of it!
I have just recenty found your channel and i just want to say i absolutely love it. When you commented on that video i thought "oh, more click bait" but the words abandoned and mansion really intrigued me. Keep doing what your doing, its amazing
All three of you are so sweet and so respectful I can't help but stop thinking that the people who lived here might have had something to do with that homes destruction great video guys !!!!!
CodyBuffinton I paused at 29 seconds to let you know that you you take beautiful video. Back in 2007 - 2010 we ran a video editing and conversion software company and I have seen many many videos in my day. I'm looking forward to the rest. Cheers. Edit: As I got further into the video, this reminds me alot of Detroit (that's where I reside).
Hi Cody. That is an old trunk, used as you guessed, for traveling by people in the 20s, 30s, & 40s. Steam trunks are another name for them. I love those.
I'd love to buy this property and completely renovate it but it's probably way too hazardous now. Not to mention the renovations would cost an absolute bomb. Such a shame. D:
The fancy luggage crate? Called a steamer trunk~ people on the Titanic would've packed these with their clothes. Fireplaces were how they heated in the oldest of days~no furnace or central heating.
It always makes me sad to see these older homes go into disrepair. The craftsmanship is beautiful especially in the study with the fireplace. :0 That being said "Cass
I was just about to say your videos were like Exploring With Josh, but then I see his channel in the description (I've never watched this guy before, this is my first time.) PS. Your editing is great!
Big ups to you man, just checked you out and have to say it's interesting. Props for not stealing things and leaving it how it was. I hope that when you go into the abandoned haunted ones be very careful, you have no control of spirits
I luckily had the Opportunity to explore an old factory hall and management building which have been closed since the 1990's ! The Great thing was - There were no graphitis or any destroyed parts. We even found some vintage coke and beer bottles ;D. Thats pretty rare in Germany to find a place like this.
The question is...why the fuck would someone leave an iconic album called 'Baby One More Time' there?!?!?! The fuck I would never do that to Britney. Some people have issues.
I feel so bad for that mansion when u look at all the effort and craftsmenship that was put into the house and now look at it. It's such a shame how much disrepair that once such beautiful house looks like now
It's so weird how they have some really old things such as that computer but the same time have new dvd's like Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (which didn't come out till 2006)
if I was the first person to find an abandoned place, I would explore and then try to find money that might have been left and then show the place to some friends if it was cool enough.
That's incredible! I live in South Florida and I'm a photographer and there so many abandoned places in Miami I want to explore I have them all written down on a list and where they are but my mom won't let me go alone because she thinks I'm gonna bump into murderers inside 😂
Everyone watch 13 Mansion Rd you can see the ghost of old man Winship at 3:00, he's on the stairs. This place is definitely haunted and I'm sure that's the reason no one ever bought the place.
Lexi James or no one bought it because the housing market was at an all time low. I went to the house, there is an overwhelming sense of calm there, like the house is resting. Definitely not any kind of evil spirits there
I wish people wouldn't vandalize abandoned places. I think it's interesting to see abandoned places and wonder why they left it the way they did, why they didn't take certain things with them or try to sell them. To see how a place looks after years of no one living there. It would be so much cooler without all that vandalism.
You and Josh should use your drone and give your view's a fly over of what the Mansion looks like from the outside. Then film yourselves approaching it from the outside, so we can see it from ground level.
I really enjoyed that tour. Thank you guys so much. It's such a shame that such a beautiful house ends up like that. I think abandoned houses should be used to house people who need a place to live. Keep up the great work.
Also If I cleaned everything up I would TOTALLY LIVE HERE, it's gorgeous and it saddens me that people did those things to that mansion! May I ask where this is??
Don't know about USA, but in the UK, if someone decides to move into an abandoned house/land or unclaimed land (squatters) and gets their mail delivered there (needs to be done for 7yrs consecutively) then after that 7yrs is up they get what's called squatters rights and then they legally own what ever they were squatting on/in. Does that happen in the US too? Why would people come in and destroy the property with graffiti and vandalism, it was and still is a beautiful house (although potentially not structurally sound anymore). Why doesn't anyone buy it for a cheap price, someone must own it, even a bank. What idiot decided to deface the grand piano, those things are worth big bucks, probably had Ivory keys and all. Not to mention all the wood work, cabinets pool tables, fire places etc. CRAZY!!!
To clear up some confusion: The house was built in 1901, so that's why it has the cool architecture that it has. It was lived in till about the late 1990's or early 2000's, when the man went bankrupt and left everything. So it has been abandoned for roughly 15-20 years.

How did he ruin the house, lol there is already trash everywhere are you blind? Also he barely touched anything
+Riley Steve I think he means those who destroyed the house. It's a shame that some people have very little respect for things that are not theirs (esp. a house that is owned by someone). Nonetheless, this was an excellent video
+Riley Steve he means the people who vandalised it with graffiti
Ikr, this video made me sad because this beautiful house has gone to a waste with all the vandalism and graffiti.
Well it's abandoned. Because the owners left to never come back so it shouldn't matter if it gets destroyed because no one really owns it
At 1:53 when it says "Cass

You said here.... You dead or nah? When you move there?
that would be a beautiful house if you made it a fixer upper and as long as its not haunted!
yes ikr
But expensive! Look at that trash
How would it be haunted tho It's not like anyone died in it
How do you know nobody died in itit or it's not haunted? Maybe it was built on haunted land or on an ancient Indian burial ground. Or a former owner is haunting it
+Jason reyes if it was built in 1901 there is a pretty good chance one or more people have died in it

If the family just went bankrupt then why would they leave literally every single item they owned? I mean more then half of that stuff could have been sold to make some money or used to just survive. I thought the same thing! also there were so many expensive things they could have sold like the piano etc ... There should be some explanation.
+Dexda P. Probably because they already carried as much stuff as they could. Maybe they had to hurry^^
+Manu El yeah but they could have come back like later. but anyway I think we won't get the whole story about it :P

This house was demolished on July 8th, 2020, bought by a realtor last year to be replaced with two new single family homes.
The fancy luggage crate? Called a steamer trunk~ people on the Titanic would've packed these with their clothes. Fireplaces were how they heated in the oldest of days~no furnace or central heating.
This home is absolutely beautiful. It's really a shame how badly it was destroyed by the people who explored it before you though
this was amazing! i got confused because i thought it was abandoned in 1901 and i was like very modern for its year lol amazing!!! loves video!
I haven't read ALL the comments, but hasn't ANYONE wondered about the "fresh" red rose on the piano? Come on now!
It seriously makes me so mad that people ruined that beautiful house. So disrespectful.
