Author’s Notes- the reasons for Michelle's story 1) Michelle is a J50 Tank Engine because that's what Thomas was originally supposed to be. 2) I wanted to give what I think Sir Topham did before becoming the Railway Controller and I chose fireman because in the Lady Hatt's birthday Episode, Sir Topham told Thomas's driver that he would be his Fireman when Thomas's Fireman became i'll, which I thought was interesting. If you were to bring Michelle into the T&F continuity a couple of details 1) She would be in a scrapyard on BR during the Adventure Begins- Through Season 24 2) Michelle's Accident could be a reason why STH buys Thomas instead of another Tender Engine. 3) Her Accident could also be a reason why STH is sometimes too harsh on Thomas because he had lost a friend and engine with Michelle(before she was brought back by Norramby) and didn't want that to happen to Thomas.
